Abstract

Behavioral engagement is an important aspect of mathematics learning in elementary schools because it reflects students’ active participation during the learning process. This study aims to analyze students’ behavioral engagement in mathematics learning at the elementary school level. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observations and interviews with fifth-grade elementary school students. Observations were conducted to examine students’ behavioral engagement during mathematics learning, while interviews were used to explore students’ experiences and responses to learning activities. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that students’ behavioral engagement in mathematics learning varies. Some students demonstrated active behavioral engagement, such as attempting to solve problems independently, asking questions when experiencing difficulties, and checking their work. However, other students tended to wait for examples or guidance from the teacher before actively engaging in learning activities. These findings suggest that students’ behavioral engagement is influenced by learning habits and instructional strategies implemented by teachers. Therefore, mathematics learning should be designed to encourage active student participation so that students’ behavioral engagement can develop optimally

Abstract

21st-century education demands learning that is not only oriented towards mastering knowledge, but also on developing higher-order thinking skills and holistic competencies of students. 21st-century skills, including critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication (4C), are essential competencies that must be developed in an integrated manner through the learning process. One learning model that is considered relevant in responding to these demands is Project-Based Learning (PjBL), because it emphasizes active, contextual, and student-centered learning. This study aims to comprehensively examine the implementation of Project-Based Learning in improving students' 21st-century skills. The study used a qualitative approach with a literature study method on various relevant primary and secondary literature sources. Data collection was carried out through systematic searches in national scientific databases, while data analysis used content analysis techniques combined with thematic synthesis. The results of the study indicate that Project-Based Learning consistently makes a positive contribution to improving students' critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills. PjBL encourages students to actively engage in authentic problem-solving, collaborate in groups, generate creative ideas and products, and communicate learning outcomes systematically. Compared with conventional learning, PjBL is more effective in simultaneously integrating the development of 4C skills. The effectiveness of PjBL implementation is greatly influenced by teacher readiness, authentic assessment strategies, and policy and institutional support. Strengthening educator competencies and learning support systems so that PjBL can be implemented optimally and sustainably to improve the quality of 21st-century education.

Abstract

The classroom learning environment plays an important role in supporting early childhood learning interests, especially when optimally designed and managed by teachers. This study aims to analyze the influence of teachers' abilities in arranging the physical classroom environment on early childhood learning interests. The study used a quantitative approach with simple linear regression data analysis. The research sample consisted of 16 children aged 4–5 years (TK A) at TKIT Muhtadi Land, Serang City. Data on teachers' abilities were obtained through questionnaires, while children's learning interests were collected through structured observations, learning assignment sheets, and school documentation. Data analysis was carried out using a prerequisite test, namely the normality test by looking at the Kolmogorov–Smirnov value, while hypothesis testing was carried out using simple linear regression analysis. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.011 (<0.05) with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.836. These findings indicate that teachers' abilities in arranging the physical classroom environment have a significant effect on early childhood learning interests, with a contribution of 83.6%, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the study. Thus, improving teacher competence in managing the physical environment of the classroom needs to be an important concern in efforts to optimally foster interest in learning in early childhood.

Abstract

In learning evaluation as part of the educational process, teacher assessment skills are a crucial competency required to optimize student assessment. This study aims to determine the assessment skills of kindergarten teachers in Lubuk Sikaping District. The research method used was descriptive quantitative research, with data collection using a questionnaire administered to a sample of 35 kindergarten teachers in Lubuk Sikaping District. The findings indicate that teachers' ability to implement learning assessments is in the high category (>80%). This level of achievement is achieved through the planning, implementation, processing, and utilization stages. Teachers are able to plan learning assessments, implement learning assessments using assessment techniques, process and analyze assessment results, and utilize assessment results for follow-up learning. This indicates that teachers understand the basic concepts of assessment and can apply them to learning activities in kindergarten. However, it is recommended that teachers continuously improve their assessment competencies to support the quality of learning and optimal early childhood development.

Abstract

This research is based on the low problem-solving ability of studens in learning Natural and Social Science IPAS class V State Elementary School 61 Banda Aceh. Based on the results of initial observation and interviews with the class teacher, it is known that learning is still centered on the teacher so that students are less active and have difficulty in understanding and solving problems related to learning materials, especially in the material seeing because of light. This research aims to describe the implementation of the PBL problem Based Learning model and to find out the improvement of students' problem-solving skills in IPAS learning. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consist of a class V teacher and a class V student with a total of 18 students at SD Negeri 61 Banda Aceh. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and tests as support.   The research results show that the implementation of the PBL model is able to improve students' creativity in the learning process as well as train students' problem-solving skills, which has increased students' ability to understand problems, discuss solutions, conduct experiments, and associate materials with daily life. Thus, the Problem Based Learning model can be one of the effective learning alternatives to improve students' problem-solving skills in IPAS learning in elementary school.

Abstract

Perdagangan internasional salah satu pilar penting dalam mendukung pembangunan ekonomi nasional, termasuk melalui kegiatan impor komoditas strategis seperti marmer. Importir marmer memiliki peran signifikan dalam menjamin ketersediaan bahan baku dan produk bagi sektor konstruksi dan properti di Indonesia. Namun, kegiatan impor marmer dihadapkan pada berbagai regulasi perdagangan dan kepabeanan yang kompleks dan dinamis, yang berpotensi menimbulkan ketidakpastian hukum bagi pelaku usaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran negara dalam memberikan perlindungan hukum bagi importir marmer di Indonesia serta menilai apakah regulasi impor marmer telah mencerminkan prinsip kepastian hukum dan keadilan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif dengan pendekatan peraturan perundang-undangan dan pendekatan konseptual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa negara telah memberikan perlindungan hukum melalui mekanisme preventif dan represif, baik dalam bentuk pembentukan regulasi maupun penyediaan upaya penyelesaian sengketa. Perlindungan hukum implementasinya belum sepenuhnya optimal masih terdapat disharmonisasi regulasi, kompleksitas pembatasan non-tarif, serta kurangnya transparansi kebijakan. Diperlukan penguatan peran negara dalam menciptakan regulasi impor yang harmonis, konsisten, dan berorientasi pada kepastian hukum serta keadilan bagi importir marmer.

Abstract

Transformasi digital di sektor perbankan telah mendorong peningkatan efisiensi layanan keuangan, namun sekaligus meningkatkan risiko kejahatan perbankan berbasis data pribadi. Data pribadi nasabah menjadi objek sekaligus sarana utama dalam berbagai modus kejahatan, seperti pencurian identitas, phishing, dan penyalahgunaan informasi keuangan. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya perlindungan data pribadi yang kuat sebagai bagian dari sistem hukum perbankan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep perlindungan data pribadi dalam konteks kejahatan perbankan, mengkaji pengaturan hukum perlindungan data pribadi di sektor perbankan Indonesia, serta menjelaskan urgensi perlindungan data pribadi sebagai instrumen hukum dalam pencegahan kejahatan perbankan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian hukum normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan dan konseptual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Undang-Undang Nomor 27 Tahun 2022 tentang Perlindungan Data Pribadi memperkuat prinsip rahasia bank dan berfungsi sebagai instrumen hukum preventif dan represif dalam menanggulangi kejahatan perbankan berbasis data. Perlindungan data pribadi tidak hanya berperan dalam melindungi hak nasabah, tetapi juga dalam menjaga kepercayaan publik dan stabilitas sistem perbankan nasional.

Abstract

The urgency of this research arises from the need to address the low learning motivation in science (IPA) among Grade VII F students at MTs Negeri 2 Kota Kediri. By developing a learning media called UTAKA (Ular Tangga Keanekaragaman Hayati or Biodiversity Snakes and Ladders), it is expected that a more engaging, interactive, and contextual learning atmosphere can be created, thereby enhancing students’ motivation and understanding of science material. This research is also intended to serve as a reference for the development of innovative instructional media in other schools, particularly in efforts to integrate biodiversity values into the learning process. Based on this background, the purpose of this study is stated in the title: "The Development of Biodiversity Snakes and Ladders (UTAKA) Learning Media to Improve Learning Motivation of Grade VII F Students at MTs Negeri 2 Kota Kediri." This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method, with the ADDIE development model. The instruments employed include validation questionnaires for media and content experts, student response questionnaires, and learning interest and motivation questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used in this study are percentage-based analysis and the N-gain test. The validation results from the first content expert showed an average score of 97% (categorized as "feasible"), and from the second expert 88% (categorized as "feasible"). Based on the N-gain score of 0.72, which falls into the "high" category (g > 0.7), it can be concluded that the ULTAKA media is effective in increasing students’ learning motivation in science classes.

Abstract

This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design. The research involved children at Taman Kanak-kanak Negeri Pembina 01 Sutera. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique, with class B2 as the experimental group and class B3 as the control group, each consisting of 11 children. Data were collected using a test consisting of six statement items. The data analysis technique used in this study was a comparison of the differences between two mean scores, analyzed using a t-test. Data processing was conducted using SPSS version 26 for Windows.Based on the post-test hypothesis testing, the significance value (2-tailed) was 0.115 < 0.005. Therefore, it indicates that there is a significant difference between the mini drama game and the teacher’s instructional treatment in relation to children’s social skills. It can be concluded that the mini drama game has an effect on children’s social skills.
