Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of logical thinking skills among 5-6 year old children at ADNI Kindergarten. Logical thinking is a stage of thinking that requires logical abilities in accordance with reality, as well as reasonable thinking. This study focuses on the indicators of classification and pattern recognition. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the econingbox media in stimulating the logical thinking skills of 5-6 year old children. This study uses a research and development method with the ADDIE model. The targets of this study are children in group B aged 5-6 years at ADNI Kindergarten, Harapan Ibu Kindergarten, and Al-Hikmah Kindergarten. The research data was based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis of the children's learning outcomes at the three institutions using the econingbox media. The validity results from the subject matter experts obtained a percentage of 90.91% with a category of very feasible. Meanwhile, the validity results from the media experts obtained a percentage of 100% with a category of very feasible. The results of the media practicality test by teachers at the first and second institutions obtained a percentage of 92.86%, with a category of very practical. Meanwhile, the results of the practicality test by teachers at the third institution obtained a percentage of 89.29%, with a category of very practical. Based on the results of descriptive statistics, the three institutions sampled in the study showed that the average learning outcomes of children were above 75, reinforced by the Sing. (2-tiled) value from the one-way ANOVA test of 0.027, which is less than 0.05. Based on this, it can be concluded that the Econingbox media is effective in stimulating the logical thinking abilities of children aged 5-6 years.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the semiotic signs in the novel Pulang Pergi by Tere Liye using Charles Sanders Peirce's theory. The novel Pulang Pergi was chosen because it is part of a popular series that presents criminal actions with an international backdrop and successfully captivates readers with its dynamic storyline. Semiotic studies place literary works as structures of signs that hold meaning behind the sequence of words and symbols. Through a qualitative descriptive method, this study aims to identify the trichotomy of icons, indexes, and symbols in the novel and interpret the meanings contained within them. The results of the analysis show that the novel Pulang Pergi uses icons in the form of visual representations and resemblance, indexes in the form of causal relationships between events and character reactions, and symbols derived from social conventions.

Abstract

Ferformance Control Using Cooperative and Collaborative Approaches in Pancasila Education Learning for Grade III at SDN 033 Tanah Grogot. Performance control using cooperative and collaborative approaches in Pancasila education learning for Grade III at SDN 033 Tanah Grogot still faces challenges. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine performance control using cooperative and collaborative approaches in Pancasila education learning for Grade III at SDN 033 Tanah Grogot.This research employs a qualitative method, with respondents consisting of teachers, students, and the school principal. Respondents were selected through purposive sampling based on the research objectives. Snowball sampling was applied through the involvement of participants related to the main respondents.The research procedure began with the researcher developing instruments and performance control tools using cooperative and collaborative approaches in Pancasila education learning. The research was carried out using interview and observation techniques. Data analysis was conducted through preliminary and final conclusions that emerged during the interview process.The research findings revealed that teacher respondents had prepared, implemented, and evaluated performance control using cooperative and collaborative approaches in Pancasila education learning for Grade III at SDN 033 Tanah Grogot. Student respondents had also prepared, engaged in learning activities, and achieved cognitive intelligence outcomes. Meanwhile, the school principal had facilitated the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of performance control using cooperative and collaborative approaches, which led to improvements in the students' multiple intelligences.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in enhancing self-confidence among students who experience stuttering through individual counseling services using the Client-Centered Therapy (CCT) approach at SMP Negeri 2 Selogiri during the 2025/2026 academic year.This research employed a qualitative descriptive design. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data validity was ensured through triangulation technique. Data analysis process consisted of four stages: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.Based on the results of the study, it was found that the role of BK teachers through individual counseling using the Client-Centered Therapy (CCT) approach play a significant role in improving the self-confidence of students who experience stuttering. Improvements were observed in students’ behavioral and emotional aspects, including increased openness in expressing feelings, greater confidence in articulating opinions, and enhanced social interaction within the school environment. The Client-Centered Therapy approach facilitates students with opportunities to understand themselves, accept their conditions, and recognition of their potential. Moreover, the role of BK teachers as facilitators, empathetic listeners, and supportive figures contributes to the creation of a safe and comfortable counseling environment, which encourages students’ optimal personal development.

Abstract

This study examines the clash of values ​​between Generation Z students and teachers and its implications for moral shifts in classroom interactions at MTs Al-Munawwarah, Jambi City. Using a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods, this study involved the principal, Akidah Akhlak teachers, and ninth-grade students as research subjects. Data collection was conducted through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that value clashes occurred in four main forms: differences in communication and attitude expression, differences in the meaning of politeness and etiquette, tensions in classroom discipline and management, and the influence of digital culture and the social environment. Teachers interpreted changes in student behavior as a moral shift characterized by a weakening of sensitivity to interaction ethics, a decrease in the ability to position oneself, and a shift in standards of politeness from formal-hierarchical to casual-egalitarian. In responding to value clashes, teachers developed persuasive and communicative approaches, implemented reward and punishment systems, responded firmly to maintain order, and instilled values ​​through role models and habits. This research contributes to understanding the dynamics of character education in the digital era and offers recommendations for developing educational policies that are adaptive to the characteristics of Generation Z.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in the human digestive organs subject in fifth grade at SD Negeri 1 Pagar Air, which is caused by the lack of use of engaging and innovative learning media. The use of appropriate learning media is expected to help students understand the material more easily and improve learning outcomes. One such media is Augmented Reality-based flashcards, which can display objects realistically and interactively. This study aims to determine the effect of using Augmented Reality-based flashcards on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 1 Pagar Air. This study used a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental Design with a Pretest–Posttest Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of two classes: an experimental class using Augmented Reality-based flashcards and a control class using video learning. Data collection was conducted through learning outcome tests in the form of pretests and posttests. Data were analyzed using statistical tests. The results showed that the average pretest score for the experimental class was 46.36, increasing to 88.73 in the posttest. Meanwhile, the average pretest score for the control class was 36.52, increasing to 79.48 in the posttest. The results showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, thus concluding that the use of Augmented Reality-based flashcards significantly impacted the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Pagar Air on the topic of human digestive organs.

Abstract

Special understanding is a fundamental ability that elementary school students need to develop as a foundation for recognizing their surrounding environment and understanding relationships among spatial elements such as location, direction, distance, distribution patterns, and spatial interconnections. In social studies (IPS) learning at the elementary level, spatial understanding is essential because it is closely related to geography content, which should be taught contextually and bassed on student's real enviroments. One strategic medium to develop spatial understanding is maps, as they provide concrete spatial representations that help students visualize geographic phenomena. However, many elementary students still experience difficulties in reading map symbols, understanding orientation, and identifying spatial realtionships. Similar condition were found at SD Negeri Bertingkat Naikoten, where maps have been used in learning, yet their contribution to students’ spatial understanding had not been clearly identified. This study aims to analyze the level of critical spatial thinking of fourth grade students at SD Bertingkat Naikoten in learning spatial material using maps. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method. The population consisted of all fouth grade students, with the sample being all students of class IV B. Data were collected trough classroom observation and written tests in the form of multiple choice and essay based on indicators of spatial critical thinking in map reading. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistic. The results show that most students achieved good to very good levels of spatial understanding. The dominance of these categories indicates that students were able to comprehend basic spatial concepts effetively trough map based learning. These findings suggest that help students organize and reason spatial information. Overall, the study confirms that the effective use of maps can significantly support the development of spatial thinking among elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore students emotional experiences during the implementation of a seed mosaic activity in elementary school. The research is grounded in the importance of understanding the emotional dimension in the learning process, particularly in art activities that require perseverance, concentration, and collaboration. This study employed a qualitative approach with an exploratory design. Data were collected through observations of students activities, in-depth interviews with both students and teachers, and documentation of the mosaic artworks. The data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns of emotional experiences encountered by students throughout the activity. The findings indicate that the seed mosaic activity elicited a range of emotional experiences, including enthusiasm, curiosity, frustration, focus, perseverance, and pride in the completed work. These emotions developed dynamically throughout the mosaic-making process. The activity was shown to help students practice emotional regulation, enhance student engagement, and strengthen social interaction among students within a supportive classroom environment. These findings suggest that the seed mosaic activity not only contributes to the development of creativity but also plays a significant role in supporting students emotional and social development in elementary school.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of having good English language skills. Good English language skills in elementary school students can open up a wide range of experiences and knowledge to help them understand the world more broadly. The purpose of this study was to produce a product that can support English language learning through interactive media so that learning becomes more meaningful and contextual. This study used a mixed-method approach with a Research and Development (R&D) design employing the ADDIE model, which was limited to three main stages, namely Analysis, Design, and Development, with a sample of 24 third-grade students from SDS Adicita Mulia selected through purposive sampling. Data were obtained from various sources, including interviews, observations, expert validation results, and product usage response questionnaires from teachers and students, and were analyzed using Likert scale analysis techniques and percentage calculations. The results of the study indicate that the Flap Book media were developed in accordance with students’ needs and the learning outcomes of the Merdeka Curriculum Phase B. These findings are in line with the research objectives and reinforce Piaget’s theory, which states that students aged 7–11 years are in the concrete operational stage and require concrete supporting media in their learning development stage. The main conclusion of this study is that interactive books such as Flap Book are suitable media for the developmental stage and learning styles of students in the concrete operational stage.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for learning media innovation that is adaptive to technological developments to overcome students' difficulties in understanding abstract concepts in science subjects. This research was conducted at Jatirejo State Elementary School, Jombang Regency with 4th grade students as subjects. The selection of location and subjects was based on the needs of elementary school students who often experience difficulties in understanding abstract concepts, with the aim of developing digital crossword puzzle learning media based on Eclipse Crossword on the topic of changes in the state of objects, and evaluating the level of feasibility and attractiveness as a means of independent learning. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) by applying the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. Data collection instruments consisted of validation sheets for material experts and media experts, as well as student response questionnaires to measure aspects of readability and attractiveness. The results showed that the developed digital crossword puzzle media was categorized as "Very Feasible" based on the assessment of material experts with a score of 86.25% and media experts at 91%. During the implementation phase, the field trial with students resulted in a "Very Interesting" rating with an average score of 80 and a positive response rate of 91%. These findings demonstrate that integrating digital educational games into the instructional process can create a more dynamic learning environment. In conclusion, the Eclipse Crossword-based digital crossword puzzle is effective, valid, and practical as an interactive learning tool to increase student engagement and motivation in learning the concept of changes in the state of matter.
