Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of the RADEC learning model (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) on improving students’ critical thinking skills in static fluid material at SMAN 5 Sarolangun. A quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design was employed. The subjects consisted of an experimental class taught using the RADEC model and a control class taught using conventional learning. The instruments included an essay test of critical thinking skills based on Ennis’ indicators, observation sheets, and a student response questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney U test, N-Gain analysis, and effect size analysis. The results indicated that students in the experimental class achieved higher critical thinking skills than those in the control class. The N-Gain value of the experimental class was in the moderate category and higher than that of the control class, with an effect size of 0.82, indicating a large effect. In addition, students’ responses to the RADEC learning model were positive, with an average score of 73.96 in the good category. It can be concluded that the RADEC learning model has a positive and significant effect on improving students’ critical thinking skills in static fluid material at SMAN 5 Sarolangun.

Abstract

Masalah gizi di Indonesia yang sering muncul adalah gizi kurang, seperti Kurang Energi Protein (KEP) dan anemia akibat kekurangan zat besi. Cara mengurangi masalah ini adalah dengan memperbaiki gizi anak. Salah satu hal yang memengaruhi gizi seseorang adalah pengetahuannya. SMK Negeri 7 Medan adalah salah satu SMK yang ada di sekitar medan. Dari studi awal, siswa di sana belum pernah dapat edukasi tentang gizi seimbang, dan banyak yang belum mengerti konsepnya. Karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan anak sekolah tentang gizi seimbang sebagai panduan hidup sehat, agar masalah gizi di usia sekolah bisa berkurang. Cara melaksanakan kegiatan ada 4 tahap: perencanaan, pelaksanaan dengan bantuan media PowerPoint, poster, flyer, kartu gizi seimbang, dan cakram gizi; evaluasi pakai pre-test dan post-test; serta refleksi yang disesuaikan dengan siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini pakai blended learning, yaitu penyuluhan dilakukan online dan konseling dilakukan offline. zDari hasil kegiatan, pengetahuan siswa peserta penyuluhan meningkat, terlihat dari nilai rata-rata pre-test 65,0 yang naik jadi 88,0 di post-test. Selain itu, dari evaluasi siswa, 27,78% peserta mulai aktif mengikuti pilar gizi seimbang dalam keseharian mereka.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of papier-mâché experiments on the creativity of children aged 5–6 years at PAUD Ananda. This study employed a pre-experimental research method using a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The population consisted of all children aged 5–6 years at PAUD Ananda, totaling 25 students, and the entire population was used as the research sample. Data were collected using an observation sheet consisting of 15 items to assess children’s creativity.The results of the data analysis showed that papier-mâché experiments had a significant effect on the creativity of children aged 5–6 years at PAUD Ananda. This was indicated by the increase in the average posttest score, which was 54.88, compared to the average pretest score of 29.88. The difference between the pretest and posttest mean scores was 25.32, indicating a clear improvement in children’s creativity after the implementation of the papier-mâché experiment. In addition, the significance test showed that the calculated t-value was greater than the table t-value at a significance level of 0.05 with 24 degrees of freedom (6.332 > 2.060). Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ), stating that papier-mâché experiments significantly affect the creativity of children aged 5–6 years at PAUD Ananda, was accepted.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low understanding of students on the abstract nature of the earth's structure material and the use of learning media process at school. These conditions have an impact on less than optimal student learning outcomes. This study aims to develop Canva and CapCut-based audio-visual learning media on the earth's structure material for grade VIII SMP/MTs students and determine the level of validity and practicality. This research is a development research with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The trial subjects were 21 grade VIII students. Data were collected through expert validation sheets and student response questionnaires, then analyzed using a Likert scale percentage. The results showed that the developed media obtained a validity level of 99.2% with a very valid category based on the assessment of material experts, media experts, and practitioners. The level of practicality based on the student response questionnaire reached 97.1% with a very practical category. Thus, Canva and CapCut-based audio-visual learning media on the earth's structure material are declared very valid and practical for use in science learning in junior high schools/Islamic junior high schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of Indonesian language errors in the MX Pride Sulawesi WhatsApp group conversation. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a content analysis design. The data source was text messages from group members which were analyzed based on the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling (PUEBI). The results showed four main categories of language errors, namely (1) letter usage, including neglecting capitalization at the beginning of sentences and entity names, the use of full capital letters for emotional emphasis, and inaccurate marking of foreign terms; (2) word spelling, including separating elements of words that should be connected, the use of abbreviations and numbers as borrowings, in the form of using foreign words without spelling adaptation or italics; and (4) use of punctuation, such as the omission of question marks, periods, or commas, excessive use of ellipsis and exclamation marks, and inaccurate use of hyphens and colons. These findings indicate that digital communication patterns tend to prioritize speed and personal expression over adherence to standard language rules. This study is expected to be a reference in the study of language errors in digital media and increase awareness of the use of Indonesian according to PUEBI rules.

Abstract

Masalah gizi pada anak usia 3–5 tahun masih menjadi isu kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia, termasuk di wilayah perkotaan seperti Jakarta Utara. Pengetahuan ibu tentang gizi seimbang merupakan salah satu faktor tidak langsung yang berpotensi memengaruhi status gizi anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu tentang gizi seimbang dengan status gizi anak usia 3–5 tahun di Posyandu RW 002 Kelurahan Tugu Selatan, Kota Jakarta Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik cross-sectional dengan teknik total sampling yang melibatkan 118 ibu dan anak. Data pengetahuan ibu dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner skala Guttman, sedangkan status gizi anak dinilai berdasarkan indikator antropometri WHO (BB/U, TB/U, BB/TB, dan IMT/U) yang dihitung menggunakan aplikasi WHO Anthro. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Chi-Square dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar ibu memiliki tingkat pengetahuan cukup (50,8%), dan mayoritas anak berada pada kategori status gizi normal berdasarkan seluruh indikator antropometri. Uji statistik menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang bermakna antara pengetahuan ibu tentang gizi seimbang dengan status gizi anak usia 3–5 tahun berdasarkan indikator BB/U, TB/U, BB/TB, dan IMT/U (p < 0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan ibu berasosiasi signifikan dengan status gizi anak. Penguatan edukasi gizi melalui kegiatan posyandu diperlukan sebagai strategi preventif untuk mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak secara optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of interactive learning models in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects and their contribution to improving students’ multiliteracy understanding. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, conducted at UPT SD Negeri 01 Bengkulu. Research data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques, and then analyzed using the theoretical frameworks of educational policy implementation, interactive learning models, and multiliteracy concepts.The findings indicate that the implementation of interactive learning models, such as Problem-Based Learning and Project-Based Learning, is able to increase students’ activeness and engagement in PAI learning. Interactive learning provides a positive contribution to the development of students’ linguistic and cultural literacy through discussion activities, group work, and the integration of PAI material with real-life contexts. However, the development of visual and digital literacy has not been optimal due to limited use of instructional media and the lack of explicit integration of multiliteracy in lesson planning and evaluation. This study concludes that interactive learning models have significant potential to enhance students’ multiliteracy understanding, but require strengthened planning, implementation, and evaluation to achieve comprehensive multiliteracy development in PAI learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning model on the ability to write observation report texts of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kualasimpang. The method used is experimental research. The population of this study was all class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kualasimpang, totaling 256 students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with 2 classes selected, namely class VIII-I (32 students) as the experimental class and class VIII-3 (32 students) as the control class. Data collection was carried out by observation, documentation, interviews and tests. Inferential statistical data analysis was carried out by normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. The results of the analysis showed that there was an effect of the RADEC model on the ability to write observation report texts of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kualasimpang with df = n-2 or df = 64 - 2 = 62, obtained ttable of 1.997. It is known that tcount > from ttable 14.001 > 1.997 at a significance level (a) of 5%, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This shows that there is an influence of the RADEC learning model on the ability to write observation report texts of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kualasimpang in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Andi Bunyamin, M.Pd and Dr. H. M. Hasibuddin Mahmud, SS., MA). The learning of Islamic Religious Education cannot be separated from the motivation in learning it. An educator is expected to have as many learning strategies as possible that can inspire students to learn fun and to achieve the desired educational goals. Educators must be good at choosing and using the strategies to be used.   An educator must be able to provide the best possible motivation to learn to students. This study aims to: Analyzing strategies in increasing students' learning motivation at SDN 59 Bonto Tengnga Camba District, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi. The research method used is a descriptive Qualitative Method with a case study approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Technical data analysis is in the form of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the PAI teachers' strategies in increasing the learning motivation of students at SDN 59 Bonto Tengnga use expository and contextual learning strategies. Expository strategies are used selectively to provide a clear basic understanding while contextual strategies relate PAI material to students' daily lives. In addition, PAI teachers also implement ice breaking, awarding, and classroom management that support the creation of a conducive learning atmosphere. The effectiveness of the learning strategy can be seen from the fulfillment of learning motivation indicators, namely the desire and desire to succeed, interesting learning activities, a conducive learning environment, and the existence of rewards in learning and supported by an improvement in learning outcomes. Although there are still several obstacles such as limited time, facilities, and differences in student characteristics, in general, the learning strategies implemented by PAI teachers at SDN 59 Bonto Tengnga are considered effective in increasing students' motivation to learn.

Abstract

Beginning reading ability is an essential foundation for elementary school students, particularly those in lower grades, in supporting their future learning success. However, there are still students who experience difficulties in recognizing letters and reading syllables, words, and simple sentences. These problems are influenced by the use of less varied learning models and the limited utilization of interactive learning media. Therefore, an innovative learning approach is needed to enhance students’ engagement and learning motivation, one of which is the implementation of the Scramble learning model assisted by Wordwall.This study aims to determine the effect of the Scramble learning model assisted by Wordwall on the beginning reading ability of first-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Pagar Air Aceh Besar. This research employed a quantitative approach using a Pre-Experimental Design in the form of a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 25 students selected through total sampling technique. Data were collected using performance tests in the form of pretest and posttest. Data analysis was conducted through normality testing and Paired Samples t-test using SPSS version 26.The results showed that the mean pretest score was 49.40 and increased to 79.60 in the posttest. The significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 indicated that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. Thus, the Scramble learning model assisted by Wordwall has a significant effect on students’ beginning reading ability.
