Abstract

This thesis discusses the implementation of the muraja’ah method in memorizing the Qur’an at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Munawwarah. The problem addressed in this research is how the muraja’ah method is implemented in Qur’an memorization and how the results of its implementation contribute to students’ memorization achievement. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques consisted of data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the muraja’ah method in Qur’an memorization at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Munawwarah includes four forms of practice: Collective muraja’ah recitation supervised by the tahfidz teacher; Peer muraja’ah conducted three times a week (approximately 43%);Muraja’ah of both old and new memorization submitted to the tahfidz teacher;Qur’an memorization examinations. The results show that students successfully achieved the memorization targets set by the school, namely memorizing Juz 29 and Juz 30. Students were able to recite the Qur’an with proper makhraj (pronunciation) and tajwid (rules of recitation). After the implementation of the muraja’ah method, students’ memorization became more fluent, tartil (measured and rhythmic), and eloquent. The implications of this study suggest that schools should provide adequate facilities and infrastructure as supporting factors for educational success and the achievement of learning objectives. Teachers are encouraged to actively motivate students, ensure their readiness and concentration, and consistently guide them in reviewing their memorization. Students are expected to be more active in improving their understanding of Qur’an memorization lessons and to develop greater confidence in participating in learning activities. Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of student learning activities and learning outcomes in procedural text material in Grade V at SD Negeri 1 Pagar Air. Students’ scores were still below the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKTP), and their participation in the learning process was relatively low. This study aimed to determine the improvement of students’ learning activities and learning outcomes through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on procedural text material in making toy cars. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The subjects of the study were 22 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, performance assessment using student worksheets (LKPD), learning outcome tests, and documentation. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of the PjBL model increased students’ learning activities in discussions, group collaboration, and project implementation. In addition, students’ learning outcomes improved, as indicated by the majority of students achieving mastery according to the KKTP. Therefore, the Project Based Learning model is effective in improving learning activities and learning outcomes in procedural text material at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the issue of nepotism during the reign of Caliph Uthman bin Affan and its impact on the emergence of rebellion. The research uses a literature study method with the source of classical and modern Islamic history literature. The results of the study show that the appointment of Uthman's relatives to strategic positions led to accusations of nepotism even though some historians consider the appointment to be based on loyalty and competence. This policy, coupled with weak supervision and slander spread by certain groups, triggered public dissatisfaction that led to the revolt and killing of Uthman. In conclusion, the issue of nepotism in Uthman's era needs to be viewed objectively by considering the socio-political context and broad governmental challenges at that time.

Abstract

Social-emotional development is a fundamental aspect of early childhood growth that greatly influences children’s future quality of life. Preliminary observations at Bunga Tanjung Kindergarten, Tanjung Village, Bathin VIII District, Sarolangun Regency indicated that children’s social-emotional abilities were not yet optimal, as reflected in low self-confidence, limited social interaction, difficulties in cooperation, and limited emotional regulation. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of singing activities, particularly Islamic-themed songs, to develop the social-emotional skills of Group B children. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The subjects of the study consisted of teachers and Group B children, while data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, and the validity of data was ensured through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The findings revealed that the planned and continuous implementation of singing activities created an enjoyable learning environment, increased children’s participation, and improved empathy, cooperation, and emotional control. However, several constraints were identified, including differences in children’s characteristics, limited learning facilities, and variations in teachers’ competence in managing singing activities. The study concludes that Islamic themed singing activities are effective as a learning strategy to support the development of social-emotional skills in early childhood education.

Abstract

English speaking skill is an essential competency in the 21st century, yet many Indonesian students face challenges such as limited practice, low confidence, and lack of opportunities in class. This study explored students’ perceptions of using the Mango Languages application to practice conversations and enhance speaking skills. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected from 15 English education students through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Thematic analysis revealed five themes: enhanced confidence, vocabulary and pronunciation development, flexibility and accessibility, motivation and engagement, and challenges and limitations. Based on these identified themes, Mango Languages showed potential in reducing students’ anxiety, improving pronunciation accuracy, and supporting independent learning. However, challenges such as limited conversation topics, lack of direct teacher feedback, and technical barriers were also reported. Therefore, Mango Languages was best positioned as a supplementary tool for improving speaking skills in higher education when integrated with classroom instruction.
