Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of instilling socially responsible character values in learning to develop students with noble character. The purpose of this study was to determine how teachers implement socially responsible character values in science and studies learning in elementary schools. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that teachers have a good understanding of implementing socially responsible character values, such as empathy, mutual cooperation, and responsibility, through learning and school activities. Teachers consistently implemented habituation patterns, role models, and environmental conditioning strategies. However, obstacles remain, such as a lack of student self-confidence and the influence of a less than supportive family environment. The school has also attempted to address these obstacles through collaboration with parents and regular social activities. In conclusion, the implementation of socially responsible character values in science and studies learning has been quite successful, although several aspects still require improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze religiosity in the drama script Sketsa-Sketsa di Kebun Warisan by Rachmat Hidayat Mustamin using a sociology of literature approach. Religiosity is understood as a multidimensional phenomenon that is not limited to religious beliefs and practices, but also includes inner experiences, value-based knowledge, and the behavioral implications of characters within a social context. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data sources consisting of dialogues and narrative elements in the drama script. Data were collected through library research using reading and note-taking techniques, while data analysis was conducted through content analysis based on five dimensions of religiosity, namely belief, religious practice, religious feelings, religious knowledge, and religious effects. The results show that religiosity in the drama script Sketsa-Sketsa di Kebun Warisan is represented holistically and contextually through all five dimensions. Religious feelings emerge as the most dominant dimension, followed by belief and religious effects, while religious practice and religious knowledge appear implicitly. The characters’ religiosity is not presented in a normative-dogmatic manner, but rather as an existential response to agrarian conflict, structural pressure, and social trauma. These findings indicate that religiosity in the drama functions as a source of meaning, moral resilience, and social awareness. This study contributes theoretically to the field of religious literary studies by offering a contextual and multidimensional analysis, and practically by providing insights that can be utilized as teaching material for literature learning oriented toward value formation and social understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the genealogy, values, practices, and implications of the Muhammadiyah prophetic movement in the socio-religious life of the Karama Bura Village community in Dompu. This study uses a qualitative approach with a historical-sociological design to trace the emergence and development of the Muhammadiyah movement at the local level and the dynamics of its interaction with the social and cultural structures of the village community. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with Muhammadiyah and community leaders, participant observation, and documentation studies of archives and related literature. Data analysis was conducted interactively through the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the Muhammadiyah prophetic movement in Karama Bura Village in Dompu developed through a contextual process of adaptation and social construction. Prophetic values based on transcendence, humanization, and liberation are manifested in persuasive and sustainable da'wah (Islamic proselytizing), education, and social activities. This movement has implications for social change in the form of strengthening the ethos of community independence and solidarity, religious change through the rationalization of worship practices, and cultural transformation toward progressive Islamic values. This research confirms that studying Islamic movements at the local level is crucial for understanding the dynamics of pluralistic, moderate, and transformative Indonesian Islam.

Abstract

This study addresses persistent challenges in elementary classroom practices, particularly low student activeness and weak learning discipline that hinder effective instructional processes. These issues are closely related to how teachers design and implement instructional actions within classroom management strategies. The study aimed to analyze the profile of teachers’ instructional actions in planning learning activities, managing classroom conditions, regulating student behavior, and fostering student participation to enhance activeness and learning discipline. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving classroom teachers at SD Negeri Kenaran 3. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis of lesson plans and instructional records. Data analysis was conducted through systematic stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with credibility ensured through triangulation of sources and techniques. The findings reveal that teachers’ instructional actions were generally well-structured at the planning stage, particularly in organizing learning objectives and instructional activities. Classroom management strategies emphasizing clear rules, positive reinforcement, and preventive approaches contributed to improved learning discipline. Moreover, interactive instructional actions, such as questioning strategies, group discussions, and varied learning activities, played a significant role in increasing student activeness. However, the study also identified constraints related to time limitations and differences in student characteristics that affected the consistency of implementation. Overall, effective instructional actions integrated with purposeful classroom management strategies were shown to support the development of a more active and disciplined learning environment. The results provide practical implications for teachers and schools in strengthening classroom-based instructional practices.

Abstract

The development of responsibility as a character trait in early childhood is a crucial aspect of personality and social attitude formation. However, in practice, children’s responsibility has not yet developed optimally due to learning activities that tend to be teacher-centered and provide limited opportunities for active involvement. This study aimed to examine the effect of the project method on the responsibility of children aged 5–6 years at TK Rizani Putra. The study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 17 children from group B. Data were collected using an observation instrument measuring children’s responsibility based on early childhood social-emotional development indicators. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, a normality test with the Shapiro–Wilk test, and hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the mean responsibility score increased from 17.25 in the pretest to 24.82 in the posttest. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, meeting the assumptions for parametric analysis. Furthermore, the results of the paired sample t-test revealed a significant difference between children’s responsibility scores before and after the implementation of the project method. These findings indicate that the project method has a significant effect on improving responsibility in early childhood. Therefore, the project method can be considered an effective alternative learning strategy for developing responsibility character in early childhood education.
