Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in developing the character of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 10 Makassar, the forms of character development implementation, and the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing the process. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of PAI teachers and tenth-grade students selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out through data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing with verification using triangulation techniques. The results show that the strategies implemented by PAI teachers in character development include giving advice, instilling discipline, and habituating religious activities. The implementation of character development is carried out holistically through intracurricular and extracurricular activities, habituation programs, religious activities, enforcement of school rules, teacher role modeling, and collaboration between schools and parents. Supporting factors include family involvement, teacher competence, a conducive school environment, and student motivation, while inhibiting factors include low self-control among students, the influence of social environments and media, and limited learning media. In conclusion, character development can be effectively achieved through the synergy of teachers, schools, families, and the environment, supported by appropriate and innovative teaching strategies.

Abstract

This study is based on the occurrence of separation anxiety among young children when they first enter the school environment, which often affects their level of independence in daily activities. This situation requires the active involvement of both teachers and parents to support children’s adaptation. The purpose of this research is to describe the level of independence of early childhood in dealing with separation anxiety at TK Sakinah 1 Cibadak. This study applies a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The participants include children, teachers, and parents. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis process involves data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The findings reveal that children’s independence varies depending on parenting patterns, emotional readiness, and instructional strategies applied by teachers. Children who demonstrate higher independence tend to adjust more easily and experience less anxiety during separation. Therefore, it can be concluded that independence plays a significant role in helping children cope with separation anxiety, highlighting the importance of collaboration between teachers and parents in fostering this ability.

Abstract

Tantrum behavior is a form of emotional outburst commonly found in early childhood, particularly in children with symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This condition is characterized by difficulties in emotional regulation, impulsivity, and hyperactivity, which affect children’s social behavior in school settings. This study aims to identify the forms of tantrum behavior and the efforts made by teachers to manage children with ADHD symptoms at TK Sakinah 1 Cibadak. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consist of teachers and children exhibiting ADHD symptoms. The results show that tantrum behaviors include excessive crying, screaming, throwing objects, and difficulty being controlled. The intervention strategies applied include individual approaches, positive reinforcement, distraction techniques, and collaboration with parents. The conclusion of this study is that appropriate and consistent handling can reduce the frequency and intensity of tantrum behavior in children with ADHD symptoms.

Abstract

This study was aims to analyze the influence of school principals’ digital leadership and teachers’ work motivation on the quality of education in elementary schools in Labakkang District. The method used in this study was a quantitative approach with a causal-associative (ex post facto) design. The sampling technique employed was cluster random sampling; the sample consisted of 19 schools with 178 participants. Data was collected through questionnaires, documentation, and observation, then analyzed used descriptive and inferential statistics with multiple linear regression techniques. The data was analyzed used multiple linear regression to determine the effect of each independent variable on the dependent variable. In presenting the data, SPSS version 25.0 was used to process the data according to existing formulas. The results of this study indicate that the principal’s digital leadership falls into the “good” category, while teachers’ work motivation falls into the “poor” category. Partially, the principal’s digital leadership has a positive and significant effect on the quality of learning. Teachers’ work motivation was also found to have a positive and significant effect on the quality of learning. Simultaneously, the principal’s digital leadership and teachers’ work motivation has a significant effect on the quality of learning. The result of the coefficient of determination (adjusted R-squared) is 0.483, which indicates that 48.3% of the quality of learning is influenced by the principal’s digital leadership and teachers’ work motivation at elementary schools in Labakkang Subdistrict. It can be concluded that the principal’s digital leadership and teachers’ work motivation play a crucial role in improving the quality of learning at the school. Therefore, it is recommended that schools, principals, teachers, and education policymakers pay special attention to the implementation of the principal’s digital leadership and teachers’ work motivation to enhance the quality of learning at the school.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the lack of interactive and engaging learning media for early childhood education (PAUD) students, particularly at PAUD Ross. Conventional teaching methods are considered less effective in increasing children's learning interest. Therefore, this research aims to develop a Flash-based educational game as an enjoyable and effective learning medium for students. The method used is Research and Development (R&D), which includes needs analysis, design, development, testing, and evaluation stages. The subjects of this study were students of PAUD Ross. The results show that the developed educational game has a high level of feasibility based on expert validation and user responses. Furthermore, the use of this game has been proven to increase students' learning interest and engagement in the learning process. In conclusion, Flash-based educational games can serve as an effective and innovative alternative learning media for early childhood students.

Abstract

Corruption is a multidimensional problem that not only harms state finances, but also damages ethical values and public trust in state institutions. This article aims to analyze corruption and the crisis of public trust from an ethical and social perspective. The research uses a literature study method by reviewing relevant books, scientific journals, and official documents. The results of the study show that corruption reflects the moral failure of state administrators, widens social inequality, hinders public services, and weakens the legitimacy of government. Therefore, eradicating corruption cannot be done through law enforcement alone, but also requires strengthening public ethics, transparency, and building a culture of integrity in order to restore public trust.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of introverted and extroverted personalities on students’ academic achievement in Islamic Religious Education at SMP IT Putri Al-Ihsan Wahdah Islamiyah in Bantaeng Regency. This study employs a quantitative approach using an ex post facto method. The study population consists of 60 students, all of whom were selected as the sample using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and documentation, while data analysis utilized multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that: (1) an introverted personality has a positive and significant effect on academic achievement, with a calculated t-value of 3.024 > the critical t-value of 1.296 and a significance level of 0.004 < 0.05, as well as a regression coefficient of 0.435; (2) extroverted personality has a positive and significant effect on academic achievement with a calculated t-value of 2.533 > the critical t-value of 1.296 and a significance level of 0.001 < 0.05, as well as a regression coefficient of 0.376; (3) Simultaneously, introverted and extroverted personalities have a significant effect on academic achievement, with a calculated F-value of 17.669 > the critical F-value of 3.16 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.383 indicates that 38% of academic achievement is influenced by introverted and extroverted personality traits, while the remaining 62% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of YouTube as a learning medium in enhancing students’ understanding of basic mathematical concepts in second-grade students at SDIT Mutiara Insan Sukoharjo. The problem addressed in this study is the difficulty of students in understanding abstract mathematical concepts when using conventional learning methods. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers, students, and the school principal as research subjects. Data validity was ensured through triangulation techniques, while data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the use of YouTube as a learning medium was implemented systematically through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The integration of audiovisual content from YouTube helped increase students’ attention, motivation, and engagement in learning. Furthermore, students demonstrated improved understanding of basic mathematical concepts, as shown by their ability to explain concepts, provide examples, and solve problems. However, some challenges were found, such as unstable internet connections and the need for appropriate content selection. Overall, YouTube is considered an effective learning medium to support the understanding of mathematical concepts in elementary school students when used appropriately.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk kesulitan belajar, faktor penyebab, serta upaya penanganan yang dilakukan oleh guru pada siswa kelas IV dan V di tingkat sekolah dasar. Kesulitan belajar menjadi hambatan krusial yang mempengaruhi kecepatan pemahaman materi dan capaian akademik siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam Bersama guru kelas dan siswa untuk mendapatkan gambaran riil di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua jenis kesulitan belajar yang dominan, yaitu kesulitan membaca dan kesulitan menghitung. Kesulitan membaca terindikasi dari adanya siswa yang masih mengeja, terbata-bata, hingga belum mengenal huruf. Sementara itu, kesulitan menghitung ditemukan pada rendahnya penguasaan operasi hotung dasar dan kesulitan memahami soal cerita. Faktor penyebab kesulitan ini terbagi menjadi dua, yakni faktor internal yang meliputi rendahnya motivasi, minat, dan kemampuan dasar siswa yang beragam. Sedangkan faktor eksternal meliputi kurangnya pendampingan belajar oleh orangtua, lingkungan rumah yang kurang kondusif, upaya yang dilakukan sekolah dan guru dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut meliputi pemberian bimbingan khusus melalui les tambahan, Latihan membaca dan berhitung secara rutin, serta penerapan metode pembelajaran yang lebih sederhana. Selain itu, guru membangun komunikasi intensif dengan orang tua untuk menyelaraskan bimbingan belajar di rumah. Sinergi antara pihak sekolah dan keluarga terbukti menjadi faktor kunci dalam mengurangi hambatan belajar siswa serta meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi mereka.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the difficulties experienced by students in writing Hanzi. The method used is a quantitative descriptive approach, with data collected through writing tests and questionnaires distributed to students of SD Zion GKKA-UP Makassar who are learning Mandarin.The results of the study reveal that students still face various challenges, with stroke order being the most dominant difficulty (100%). This is followed by difficulties in maintaining proportion and character structure (86.7%), neatness of writing (60.0%), and distinguishing characters with similar forms (40.0%).The factors influencing these difficulties include a lack of practice time and variation in teaching methods (100%), unfamiliarity with strict writing rules (66.7%), as well as students’ perceptions of the potential of digital media in increasing learning motivation (86.7%).
