Abstract

This study was motivated by the low early literacy skills of children aged 5–6 years at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Muara Tembesi. The problems identified include children’s difficulties in recognizing alphabet letters, distinguishing vowels and consonants, and grouping letters based on their shapes and sounds. This study aims to determine the effect of using alphabet smart card media on early childhood literacy skills.This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 18 children in group B. Data were collected using an observation sheet that had been tested for validity. Data analysis techniques included normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using paired sample t-test.The results showed a significant effect of the use of alphabet smart card media on children’s early literacy skills. This was indicated by the t-value of 48.089 with a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Furthermore, the effect size calculated using Cohen’s d was 1.13, which falls into the strong effect category.In conclusion, alphabet smart card media is effective in improving early literacy skills in children aged 5–6 years. This media can serve as an engaging and innovative learning tool to support early childhood literacy development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of differentiated learning modules in improving student motivation and learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education and Character Education at Penajam Paser Utara Senior High School. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results showed that differentiated learning can significantly improve student motivation, independence, and learning outcomes. The results showed that the implementation of differentiated modules at SMAN 2, 3, and 5 PPU effectively increased intrinsic motivation, independence, and student learning completion. This was achieved through adapting instructions that were responsive to diverse learning styles and providing autonomy to students in the learning process. This strategy successfully synergized academic achievement with character transformation and student spiritual awareness through the use of varied media, flexible assessment, and adaptive teacher intervention. Overall, the implementation of this module was proven to be able to shape student profiles that are not only cognitively superior, but also possess spiritual depth and strong character in accordance with the principles of the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

Education ideally develops students’ cognitive, affective, and higher-order thinking skills, particularly critical thinking in elementary IPAS learning. However, in practice, learning activities are still predominantly teacher-centered, resulting in low student engagement and suboptimal development of critical thinking skills. In addition, the use of instructional models that are not aligned with students’ developmental characteristics further contributes to this issue. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving students’ critical thinking skills in elementary IPAS learning. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by analyzing relevant articles published between 2015 and 2026 obtained from Google Scholar, Garuda, and SINTA databases. The selection process follows PRISMA stages, including identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion, resulting in 10 selected articles. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative synthesis to identify patterns, similarities, and differences in findings. The results indicate that the implementation of PBL consistently has a positive impact on improving students’ critical thinking skills, as evidenced by increased average scores, percentages, and categories of critical thinking abilities. Moreover, PBL enhances student engagement and promotes active learning through contextual problem-solving activities. Therefore, PBL can be considered an effective instructional model to improve critical thinking skills in elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of deep learning-based inquiry learning in improving students' abductive thinking skills at SMP Negeri 2 Sidoarjo on mixed materials. This study applies a quantitative research method with a quasi-experimental type with a one-group pretest and posttest design. In this study, one group was observed as a subject that began with a pretest before learning, then given treatment in the form of the application of deep learning-based inquiry learning and ended with a posttest. The results of the study indicate that deep learning-based inquiry learning has a positive impact on improving higher-order thinking skills, in this case students' abductive thinking skills. The results of the paired t-test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest when before and after the implementation of deep learning-based structured inquiry learning. The effect size results on all abductive indicators also showed that the increase was in the "large" category. The highest effect size value was found in the indicator of formulating problems & determining objectives, and formulating conclusions with the "large" category. The lowest effect size value was found in the analogy indicator which was in the "small" category.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of document verification in strengthening internal controls at PT. Igasar, a subsidiary of PT Semen Padang (Semen Indonesia Group). The methodology employed is a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study, supported by academic literature on internal audit, document verification, and report digitization. The results of the study indicate that document verification at PT. Igasar plays a crucial role in maintaining transaction accuracy, reducing the risk of fraud, and enhancing the transparency of financial reports. However, challenges remain, including the high volume of documents and the risk of verification delays. The recommended solution is the implementation of a document digitization system through an ERP program that integrates systems across units. Through the implementation of this strategy, corporate governance can be strengthened and accountability improved.

Abstract

This study examines the managerial innovations implemented by the head of madrasah in improving teachers’ work quality at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Arifin Jambi. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the research collected data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The head of madrasah served as the key informant, while teachers were selected as supporting informants using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings reveal that prior to the implementation of managerial innovations, teachers’ work quality was not optimal, as reflected in routine administrative work patterns, limited variation in teaching methods, minimal utilization of instructional media and digital technology, and ineffective academic supervision. In response, the head of madrasah introduced several managerial innovations, including needs-based planning, the development of a collaborative work culture, strengthened academic supervision oriented toward professional guidance, continuous teacher professional development, motivation and reward systems, and the integration of information technology in management and learning processes. These managerial innovations contributed positively to improving teachers’ work quality, indicated by increased discipline, responsibility, creativity, and enhanced pedagogical and professional competencies. Furthermore, the innovations fostered a more conducive, collaborative, and quality-oriented madrasah work environment. The study concludes that innovative managerial leadership of the head of madrasah plays a crucial role in enhancing teachers’ work quality and supporting sustainable improvement in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Science learning at SDN 105387 Sei Karang still faces challenges in the form of the use of uninteresting conventional worksheets and teacher-centered learning methods, resulting in low student motivation and learning outcomes. The objective of the research was to develop a Discovery Learning-based worksheet for Live Worksheet-assisted science learning that is feasible, practical, and effective for grade five elementary school students. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, encompassing the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were 20 fifth-grade students of SDN 105387 Sei Karang with the material “Bagaimana Bernapas Membantuku Melakukan Aktivitas Sehari-hari?” The research instruments consisted of validation sheets from material experts, design experts, education practitioners, student response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest questions. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques with a Likert scale of 1-5. The results showed that LKPD had very good feasibility based on validation from material experts with a score of 4.36 (87.2%), design experts 4.25 (85%), and education practitioners 4.45 (89%) with the category “Very Feasible.” The effectiveness of LKPD was proven by the increase in student learning outcomes with an average Pretest of 65.50 (40% completion) increasing to Post-test 84.25 (90% completion), or an increase of 18.75 points (28.6%). Student responses to LKPD were very positive with a score of 4.52 (90.4%) in the “Very Practical” category. It can be concluded that the Discovery Learning-based student worksheet (LKPD) in 1PAS learning, assisted by Live Worksheets, has been successfully developed with excellent quality and meets the criteria of being feasible, practical, and effective for improving the learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Active Deep Learner Experience (ADLX)-based learning with an integrated approach to fostering religious character at SDIT Mutiara Insan Sukoharjo. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects included first-grade teachers, first-grade students, and other supporting data sources. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was tested through triangulation of sources, techniques, and theories. Data analysis employed an interactive model encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that ADLX-based learning with an integrated approach is implemented through three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, teachers develop learning tools by integrating religious values ​​into the learning materials. In the implementation stage, learning activities consist of an introduction, core, and conclusion that link the material to verses from the Quran and Hadith, as well as connecting it to daily life and an orientation toward the afterlife. In the evaluation stage, teachers conduct a comprehensive assessment of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, with an emphasis on the development of religious character. The implementation of this learning demonstrates the development of religious character, such as prayer habits, discipline in worship, and behavior that reflects Islamic values in daily life. Abstract

Pancasila Education plays a crucial role as a moral and ethical foundation for the younger generation in facing the increasingly complex challenges of the digital economy. This study aims to explore strategies for strengthening national character amid the rapid flow of globalization and technological transformation, which often introduce values of individualism and pragmatism. Using a literature review method, this study analyzes how the noble values of Pancasila can be integrated into digital literacy to shape economic behavior that is honest, transparent, and socially just. The findings indicate that the main challenges in the digital era include the risk of social disintegration, moral degradation, and free market competition that often neglects human values. However, the Society 5.0 era also offers significant opportunities for civic education to innovate through more adaptive and interactive learning methods. Pancasila Education not only functions as a filter against foreign ideologies but also as a driving force for the younger generation to become active and productive participants in the digital economic ecosystem without losing their national identity. In conclusion, synergy between technology and state ideology is essential to create human resources that are intellectually excellent and spiritually strong. By instilling the values of mutual cooperation and justice in modern business practices, the younger generation can ensure that digital economic progress remains aligned with Indonesia’s noble ideals of achieving comprehensive social welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on improving students' critical thinking skills in Social Studies (IPS) learning for 6th-grade elementary school students, specifically on the material regarding the influence of geographical conditions on regional potential. The research method employed is a literature review (Systematic Literature Review) by analyzing 20 relevant scientific articles from the Google Scholar database and the Publish or Perish application within the 2021–2026 timeframe. The results of the analysis indicate that the application of the PBL model significantly enhances students' critical thinking skills compared to conventional methods. This is evidenced by students' active involvement in solving real-world problems, which trains their abilities in analysis, evaluation, and logical decision-making. This model is highly relevant to geographical condition material, which is contextual in nature, thereby helping students understand the deep interconnection between nature and regional economic potential. Despite requiring more time for implementation, PBL has proven to be an effective strategy for developing 21st-century skills in elementary schools.
