Abstract

This study is based on the observation of the low critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students in science learning, which is characterized by low participation, activeness, and suboptimal learning outcomes due to the use of conventional learning models. This study aims to analyze the impact of the application of the Game Based Learning (GBL) learning model on students' critical thinking skills. The method used is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research type using a one-group pre-test post-test design. The research subjects were 33 fifth-grade students of Beskalan Surakarta Elementary School in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data collection was carried out through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test to compare the results before and after treatment. The results showed an increase in the average score from 64.82 in the pre-test to 78.45 in the post-test. The statistical test showed a significant value of 0.000 <0.05, indicating that there was a significant influence of the use of the Game Based Learning model on students' critical thinking skills. So it can be concluded that the Game Based Learning model has proven effective in improving critical thinking skills in science learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa ketika sedang melakukan presentasi di depan kelas IV di SDN 3 Karangsari. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah masih banyak siswa yang menunjukan kepercayaan diri yang rendah ketika tampil di depan kelas, dapat disebabkan oleh perasaan takut, cemas, atau ketidakpastian, yang sering disertai dengan gejala fisik seperti peningkatan detak jantung dan tremor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif korelasional diantaranya untuk mencari tahu hubungan antara variable x (kepercayaan diri) dengan variable y (kemampuan presentasi). Subjek penelitian adalah 15 siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Karangsari, sedangkan objek penelitian adalah tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa saat presentasi di kelas. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa angket, angket yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu angket tertutup untuk mengetahui tingkat kepercayaan yang dimiliki oleh siswa dengan menggunakan skala likert modifikasi dengan interpretasi skala 1-4. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa diketahui sebanyak 3 siswa (20%) memiliki tingkat kepercayaan diri sangat tinggi, 5 siswa (53,3%) berada pada kategori tinggi, 4 siswa (26,7%) berada pada kategori cukup, 2 siswa (20%) berada pada kategori rendah, dan 1 siswa (6,7%) memiliki kepercayaan diri yang sangat rendah. Ini menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa telah memiliki kepercayaan diri yang baik dalam presentasi, meskipun masih ada beberapa siswa yang membutuhkan bimbingan lebih lanjut. Dengan itu, guru juga dapat guru diharapkan dapat memperkuat dan mengembangkan pendekatan ini melalui berbagai upaya lanjutan. Misalnya, dengan memberikan bimbingan secara khusus kepada siswa yang masih menunjukkan tingkat kepercayaan diri rendah, melibatkan siswa dalam latihan presentasi kelompok, serta memberikan penghargaan sederhana sebagai bentuk pengakuan terhadap keberanian mereka. Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana persepsi guru mengenai tata tertib di sekolah dasar. Persepsi guru mengenai tata tertib berbeda-beda tergantung pada perspektif masing-masing dan kemudian akan terwujud melalui perilaku sebagai respon yang ditunjukan. Di setiap Sekolah termasuk di SDN 1 Sukakarya terdapat tata tertib yang mengatur perilaku guru, Latar belakang penelitian ini berdasarkan pada pentingnya aturan sekolah dalam mengatur dan membentuk kedisiplinan guru guna menjaga ketertiban serta menciptakan suasana belajar yang kondusif, sekaligus melihat berbagai perilaku guru yang terkadang menjadi tantangan dalam pelaksanaan tata tertib di sekolah. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa diketahui guru di SDN 1 Sukakarya mempunyai persepsi yang sangat positif mengenai tata tertib di sekolah dasar. Persepsi yang ini positif menjadi suri teladan bagi peserta didik. kepatuhan guru mengenai tata tertib sudah sangat disiplin dalam menarapkan peraturan. Hal ini karena peran serta kepala sekolah yang menjadi faktor pendukung karena memberi teladan bagi guru-guru lainya serta tegas melakukan pengawasan kepada guru terhadap penerapan tata tertib di SDN 1 Sukakarya.

Abstract

Hair styling is an important part of the beauty field that aims to enhance a person's appearance and self-confidence. One of the techniques commonly used in hair styling is hair curling. However, in practice, the curls often do not last long. Therefore, a curling technique that can produce longer-lasting curls is needed, one of which is the double curling technique. This study aims to analyze the application of the double hair curling technique in improving the durability of curl shapes. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study was conducted on Wednesday, March 12, 2026, at Asnah Salon, Medan Perjuangan, with the salon owner as the research subject. The results show that the double curling technique, which is carried out through two stages of curling, can produce stronger, more voluminous, and longer-lasting curls compared to the conventional single curling technique. Therefore, the double curling technique can be an alternative hair styling method to produce more durable curls.

Abstract

Educational policy in Indonesia has undergone another significant shift with the issuance of Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Regulation Number 9 of 2026, which integrates the National Assessment (Asesmen Nasional/AN) with a new instrument, the Academic Ability Test (Tes Kemampuan Akademik/TKA). This article aims to critically examine the policy design, its underlying rationale, and its social implications. The study employs a Critical Policy Analysis (CPA) approach, enriched by Stephen J. Ball’s sociology of policy perspective and the theory of Street-Level Bureaucracy. It highlights the tension between the paradigms of Assessment of Learning (AoL) and Assessment for Learning (AfL) arising from the integration of instruments with differing objectives. Document analysis, including Regulation Number 10 of 2025 on Graduate Competency Standards, reveals a misalignment between the holistic orientation of graduate profiles and the cognitively oriented nature of the TKA. Furthermore, the “voluntary” status of TKA risks becoming nominal when its results are used in high-stakes student selection processes. Infrastructure disparities and implementer discretion at the school level further raise concerns regarding test validity and integrity.This study concludes that, without adequate regulation and mitigation, the policy risks reinforcing test-oriented teaching practices, fostering implicit school ranking, and exacerbating educational inequality. Careful and equitable implementation is therefore essential.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PJBL) model with a Deep Learning approach on enhancing students' reflective thinking skills in the Solar System topic at the elementary school level. Science education at the elementary level often still revolves around teacher-centered methods and conventional approaches, which tend to limit students' active involvement in the learning process. One solution to improve the quality of learning is by implementing a project-based learning model that focuses on students as the center of learning, providing opportunities for them to engage in real-world projects that deepen their understanding of the concepts being studied. The PJBL model integrated with the Deep Learning approach offers students the chance to not only learn the material in depth but also to reflect on their learning process and outcomes, an essential aspect in developing higher-order thinking skills. This research was conducted at SDN Dukuh Kupang II Surabaya using an experimental design involving two student groups: an experimental group applying the PJBL model with a Deep Learning approach and a control group using conventional learning methods. Data were collected through reflective thinking tests in the form of pretest and posttest scores, as well as a questionnaire to measure students' responses to the learning process. The results show a significant improvement in students' reflective thinking skills in the experimental group compared to the control group, as reflected in the high NGain scores on the posttest. Furthermore, students' responses to this learning model were overwhelmingly positive.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of elementary students’ reflective thinking ability in science learning, particularly in the topic of the water cycle. Teacher-centered instruction has limited students’ active participation, reduced meaningful connections between concepts and real-life phenomena, and minimized opportunities for reflective processes. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with a Deep Learning approach in improving fifth-grade students’ reflective thinking ability on the water cycle topic at SDN Dukuh Kupang II/489 Surabaya. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pretest–posttest experimental group design. The participants consisted of 56 students from classes V-A and V-B, both functioning as experimental groups. Research instruments included reflective thinking tests (pretest and posttest), learning implementation observation sheets, student response questionnaires, and reflective thinking attitude scales. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and N-Gain calculations to measure improvement levels. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ reflective thinking ability after the implementation of PjBL combined with the Deep Learning approach. Posttest scores were higher than pretest scores, with N-Gain results categorized as moderate to high in both classes. Students’ responses toward the learning process were positive, showing increased engagement, interest, and deeper conceptual understanding. Therefore, the integration of Project Based Learning and Deep Learning is effective in enhancing reflective thinking skills in elementary science education.

Abstract

Pencak silat requires not only technical mastery and good physical condition but also strong mental readiness when athletes face competitions. In competitive situations, athletes often experience psychological pressure that can affect their performance. Two important psychological aspects related to this condition are self-efficacy, which refers to an individual's belief in their own abilities, and competitive anxiety. Athletes with high self-efficacy tend to be more confident, able to maintain concentration, and better prepared to deal with pressure during matches. On the other hand, excessive anxiety can disrupt focus, influence decision making, and reduce athletic performance.This study aims to determine the level of self-efficacy and competitive anxiety among Tapak Suci pencak silat athletes at Fajar Hidayah School in Aceh Besar. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving eight athletes as research subjects selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The results show that athletes’ self-efficacy is influenced by training, competition experience, and support from coaches and family. Athletes with strong self-efficacy tend to be better able to control anxiety during competitions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the religious program of Remaja Masjid Al-Amin on the internalization of Islamic education values and the level of religiosity among adolescents in Lapara Village, Siompu District, South Buton Regency. The background of this study is grounded in a compelling phenomenon whereby a mosque-based religious program within a resource-limited island rural community succeeded in producing a significant influence on the character formation and religiosity of its youth. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, in which data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving 17 active members of Remaja Masjid Al-Amin. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. To measure the magnitude of influence, Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis was applied, yielding an r-count value of 0.571, which exceeded the r-table value of 0.514 at a 5% significance level with df = 15, thereby confirming a statistically significant relationship between the two variables. The coefficient of determination revealed that the religious program contributed 32.60% toward the improvement of adolescent religiosity, while the remaining 67.40% was attributed to other factors such as family environment, peer relationships, and social media. Qualitatively, the religious program was proven capable of shifting adolescents' religious orientation from one that is formal and external toward a deeper and more authentic internalization of Islamic values in their daily lives. These findings contribute to the achievement of SDG 4 on quality education and SDG 16 on peace and strong institutions through the strengthening of youth character via community-based religious institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of synectics learning model and concept mapping model integrated with the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in improving students’ short story writing skills. The background of this study is the low ability of students in generating ideas, developing plots, and organizing narrative structures. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 63 eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Semarang, divided into two groups: the synectics class (31 students) and the concept mapping class (32 students). Data were collected through pretest and posttest of short story writing and analyzed using descriptive statistics, N-Gain, and independent sample t-test. The results showed that both learning models improved students’ writing skills, as indicated by the increase in mean scores from pretest to posttest. The N-Gain score of the concept mapping class (32.80) was higher than that of the synectics class (20.55), although both were categorized as less effective. The hypothesis testing result showed no significant difference between the two models (Sig. = 0.976 > 0.05), indicating that both models have relatively equal effectiveness. Therefore, it can be concluded that synectics and concept mapping models supported by AI have the potential to improve short story writing skills, but their effectiveness is not significantly different.
