Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA disekolah masih didominasi dengan metode ceramah, model pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi, serta masih rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran. Untuk itu tujuannya adalah menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle 5e dan berbantuan media phet-simulation. Model learning cycle 5e (Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, dan Evaluation). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi gerak dan gaya dengan penerapan model pembelajaran learning cycle 5e dan berbantuan media virtual lab. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasy Experimental Design dengan rancangan penelitian Posttest-Only Control design. Sampel penelitian diambil dari dua kelas secara random sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dari populasi peserta didik di kelas VII MTs HubbulWathan Duri. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah post-tes hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik yang diberikan pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berupa soal objektif 20 soal yang sesuai dengan ranah kognitif C1-C5. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi, dimana memiliki nilai rata-rata 78.2 (baik) daripada kelas kontrol yang memiliki nilai rata-rata 73.6 (baik). Secara inferensial terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen, sehingga pembelajaran yang menerapkan model pembelajaran learning cycle 5E dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik terutama pada materi gerak dan gaya di kelas VII MTs HubbulWathan Duri.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Kahootas an evaluation tool in strengthening students’ conceptual understanding at SMAN 15 Garut. Thisresearch employs a qualitative approach using a literature study method by reviewing various relevantsources such as scientific journals, books, andresearch articles related to digital-based evaluationmedia in learning. Data collection techniques were conducted through content analysis of selectedliterature, while data analysis was carried out bycategorizing, comparing, and interpreting findings fromprevious studies. The results indicate that Kahoot is aneffective evaluation tool in enhancing studentengagement, motivation, and conceptualunderstanding. Its strengths lie in providing immediatefeedback, creating an interactive learning environment, and encouraging active student participation throughgamification elements. However, several limitationswere identified, including dependency on internet access, limited technological devices, and thetendency of students to prioritize speed over deepunderstanding. The effectiveness of Kahoot is alsoinfluenced by several factors, such as the quality ofquestion design, teacher implementation strategies, and students’ technological readiness. Therefore, theuse of Kahoot should be carefully designed to ensurethat it not only increases motivation but alsostrengthens students’ conceptual understanding. In conclusion, Kahoot can serve as an innovative andrelevant evaluation tool to support 21st-century learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of Christian Religious Education in efforts to minimize hedonistic lifestyles among Grade XI students at State Senior High School 5 Medan. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of the increasing tendency of hedonistic lifestyles among teenagers, which is influenced by the development of technology, social media, and peer environments. A lifestyle that is oriented toward pleasure, luxury, and excessive self-satisfaction can affect students’ character, moral values, and spiritual life. In this context, Christian Religious Education plays an important role in instilling values of faith, morality, and Christian ethics that can shape a more modest, responsible lifestyle based on biblical teachings.The research method used in this study is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were then analyzed using an interactive analysis model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that Christian Religious Education has a significant influence in helping minimize hedonistic lifestyles among students. Through the teaching of Christian values, the teaching of God's Word, spiritual discussions, and character development, students gain a better understanding of the importance of living simply, exercising self-control, and prioritizing spiritual values over worldly pleasures. In addition, Christian Religious Education also helps students develop moral and spiritual awareness so that they are able to face negative influences from the environment and the development of modern culture.

Abstract

This thesis was supervised by Pdt. Imelda Butarbutar, S.Th., M.Psi., M.Pd., and Pdt. Riana Lumbanraja, S.Th., M.Hum., at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), HKBP Nommensen University, Medan. This study aims to describe the implementation of a therapeutic spiritual approach as a preventative measure against juvenile delinquency at SMA Negeri 5 Medan. The background of this research is based on the increasing number of juvenile delinquent behaviors.The method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation.The results indicate that a therapeutic spiritual approach through communal prayer, reflective worship, spiritual counseling, and meditation can minimize juvenile delinquency and increase students' self-control and moral awareness.Thus, the therapeutic spiritual approach is effective as a preventive strategy in shaping student character at SMA Negeri 5 Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of using Augmented Reality (AR) technology in interactive storybooks on elementary students’ scientific literacy. The rapid development of digital technology requires innovative learning media to enhance students’ understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Non-Equivalent Control Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The sample consisted of two groups of fifth-grade students at SDN Margorejo I/403 Surabaya, with 26 students in the experimental group and 26 students in the control group. Data were collected using scientific literacy tests (pretest and posttest) and student response questionnaires, and analyzed through N-Gain, normality, homogeneity, and Independent Samples t-test. The results showed that the experimental group achieved a higher improvement (N-Gain = 0.45, moderate category) compared to the control group (N-Gain = 0.22, low category). The hypothesis test indicated a significant difference (Sig. = 0.005 < 0.05), confirming that AR-based interactive storybooks significantly improve students’ scientific literacy. Additionally, questionnaire results revealed positive student responses, with high levels of motivation, interest, and engagement during learning. These findings suggest that integrating AR technology into interactive storybooks is an effective and innovative learning medium to support science education in elementary schools, despite challenges related to technological access and infrastructure.

Abstract

This study examines the optimization of teacher human resource (HR) planning to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia. The study is motivated by the fact that teacher readiness remains uneven, particularly in differentiated pedagogy, digital literacy, and project-based learning, indicating that HR planning has not been fully aligned with curriculum demands. The purpose of this research is to analyze and synthesize previous studies related to teacher HR planning strategies in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum. This research employs a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review (SLR) design, analyzing scientific articles published between 2022 and 2026 from indexed journals. Data were collected through structured literature searches and analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify key themes, patterns, and research gaps. The findings reveal that effective HR planning significantly influences curriculum implementation success, involving competency mapping, continuous professional development, and institutional support. Both internal factors (teacher competence, motivation, adaptability) and external factors (leadership, policy support, infrastructure, and training access) affect the effectiveness of HR planning. Furthermore, strategies such as continuous training, mentoring, collaborative learning communities, and technology integration have proven effective in improving teacher readiness. The study concludes that optimizing teacher HR planning requires a strategic, systematic, and sustainable approach aligned with curriculum needs. These findings contribute to the development of educational HR management and provide practical implications for policymakers and school leaders in improving curriculum implementation.

The Effect of KWL (Know, Want to Know, Learned) Strategy on Reading Comprehension Skills of Fifth Grade Students at SD Negeri 128 Harapan, Mappadeceng District, North Luwu Regency.Thesis. Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. Supervised by Andi Sukri Syamsuri and Muhammad Saeful.Thisstudy aims to analyze the effect of the KWL (Know, Want to Know, Learned) strategy on students’ reading comprehension skills. The research problem of this study is: “How does the KWL (Know, Want to Know, Learned) strategy affect the reading comprehension skills of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 128 Harapan, Mappadeceng District, North LuwuRegency?” This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The population consisted of all fifth grade students at SD Negeri 128 Harapan, with a total sample of 23 students selected through total sampling technique. Data were collected through learning outcome tests conducted before the treatment (pretest) and after the treatment (posttest). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, including normality tests and paired sample t-test with the assistance of SPSS software. The results showed an increase in the students’ average scores from 41.96 in the pretest to 77.83 in the posttest. The hypothesis testing results indicated a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. In addition, the observation results showed that students’ learning activities were categorized as good.In conclusion, the use of the KWL (Know, Want to Know, Learned) strategy has a significant and effective effect on the reading comprehension skills of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 128 Harapan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application and effectiveness of Spatial.io-based geography learning media in improving critical thinking skills of grade X students at SMAN 1 Batipuh. Critical thinking skills refer to critical thinking indicators quoted from Bagas, namely: interpretation, analysis, evaluation, conclusions, explanations, self-regulation. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of an experimental class and a control class. Data collection techniques were carried out through critical thinking ability tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent sample t-tests. The results showed that students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class experienced a higher increase than the control class. It can be concluded that the application of Spatial.io-based learning media is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and supporting the creation of innovative geography learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using image media on the learning outcomes of descriptive text writing skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 040451 Kabanjahe. The background of this research is based on the low ability of students in writing descriptive texts, which is caused by the lack of the use of interesting and effective learning media in the teaching and learning process. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The research design applied is the pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study consists of all fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 040451 Kabanjahe, with samples selected using a specific sampling technique. The research instrument is a descriptive text writing test administered before (pretest) and after (posttest) the treatment. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant effect of using image media on students' learning outcomes in descriptive text writing skills. This is shown by the increase in the average scores of students after being given treatment using image media compared to before the treatment. In addition, the statistical test results show that the significance value is less than 0.05, so the research hypothesis is accepted. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of image media is effective in improving students' descriptive text writing skills at SD Negeri 040451 Kabanjahe. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers use image media as an alternative in teaching writing to improve students' interest and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method in the Pancasila Education subject, focusing on the material of Pancasila values for Grade VB elementary school students. Based on preliminary observations, students faced difficulties in understanding the material due to teacher-centered learning, limited active student involvement, and a classroom atmosphere that tended to be passive.This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 22 Grade VB students at SDN Landungsari 1 in the even semester of the 2026 academic year. Data collection techniques included observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation using instruments such as observation sheets of teacher and student activities and evaluation questions. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods.The results showed an improvement in student learning outcomes, with the average initial score of 65.00 and a completeness rate of 45.45%, which increased to 72.27 (63.64%) in cycle I and reached 84.55 (90.91%) in cycle II. In addition, learning activities also showed positive changes, with students becoming more active and teachers more effective in facilitating the learning process.
