Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the effect tangram-assisted Problem Based Learning (PBL) on first grade elementary students mathematical critical thinking skills. This study employed a quantitative method with a one-group pretest posttest design. The participants were 20 first-grade students of SDIT Lampu Iman Karawang. Data were collected through a test consisting of six essay items developed based on indicators of critical thinking skills. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistic, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, paired sample t-test, and N-gain score analysis. The results showed that the mean pretest score was 64,75 and increased to 88,30 in the posttest. The normality test indicated that both pretest and posttest data were normaly distributed. Furthermore, the pretest and posttest scores exhibited a significant difference, as evidenced by the paired sample t-test results (p < 0,001), indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, the Problem Based Learning model assisted by tangram media had a significant effect on students’ mathematical critical thinking skills.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the implementation of role-playing activities in developing the learning focus of 4–5-year-old children at the Muhammad Shodiq Kindergarten. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research subjects consisted of teachers and 4–5-year-old children at the Muhammad Shodiq Kindergarten. Data collection techniques used in this study included observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman data analysis model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of role-playing activities was carried out through three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, the teacher determined the game theme that aligns with the learning theme and prepared media and props to support the role-playing activities. In the implementation stage, the teacher explained the game flow and assigned roles to the children according to the predetermined theme. During the activity, the children appeared more active, enthusiastic, and directly involved in the learning process. Role-playing activities also helped children improve their ability to focus on learning, such as paying attention, following teacher instructions, and completing the activity to completion. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that role-playing activities can be an effective learning strategy for developing early childhood learning focus and creating a more engaging and enjoyable learning process. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model on the learning outcomes of Akidah Akhlak among eighth-grade students at MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. This quantitative research used an ex post facto design with a sample of 70 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and documentation, and analyzed using simple linear regression.The results show that the TSTS learning model has a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes, with t-count (15.519) > t-table (1.994) and significance value 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.780 indicates that 78% of learning outcomes are influenced by the TSTS model. Additionally, the number of students who did not meet the Minimum Mastery Criteria decreased from 20 to 9 students.In conclusion, the implementation of the TSTS model improves students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of color board image media in improving early childhood color recognition abilities at KB Putra Bangsa. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of teachers, the school principal, and students at KB Putra Bangsa. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the use of color board image media helps children recognize colors more easily through activities such as matching pictures, mentioning color names, and grouping objects based on similar colors. The media also increases children's participation and enthusiasm during the learning process. Furthermore, the interaction between teachers and children during learning activities reflects a scaffolding process that gradually helps children understand color concepts. Therefore, the color board image media can be an effective learning medium to improve color recognition abilities in early childhood education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the cooperative learning model of the Think Pair Share (TPS) type assisted by educational games on students’ learning outcomes in science subjects for seventh-grade students at SMPN 12 Solok Selatan. The problems identified in the learning process include students’ low self-confidence in expressing opinions, lack of communication skills, and a tendency to be passive due to teacher-centered instruction dominated by lecture methods. These conditions have an impact on students’ low learning outcomes, which have not yet reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKTP). This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental approach. The population consisted of all seventh-grade students at SMPN 12 Solok Selatan, and the sampling technique used was total sampling. The sample included 22 students in the experimental class and 21 students in the control class. Data were collected through an objective test consisting of 20 validated items. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an independent t-test. The results showed that the average learning outcome of students in the experimental class was 77.72, which is higher than that of the control class at 64.14. Based on the t-test, the value of t_calculated > t_table (3.2959 > 2.021) at a significance level of α = 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model assisted by educational games has a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes in science subjects. Abstract

The learning process in elementary schools is still predominantly teacher-centered and relies on limited teaching materials, such as printed books and worksheets, causing students to be less active and easily bored. The use of interactive digital teaching materials is also still minimal, which impacts students’ engagement and understanding, especially on the topic of the human respiratory system. Therefore, this study aims to develop a Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based e-module assisted by Heyzine Flipbook that meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness for fifth-grade elementary school students. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4-D development model, which includes the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research instruments consisted of validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and learning outcome tests in the form of pretest and posttest. The trial subjects consisted of fifth-grade students at SDN 11 Koto Marapak and SDN 07 Batang Kabung, while the research subjects were fifth-grade students at SDN 02 Talago Sariak. The validity test conducted by material, media, and language experts indicated that the e-module was very valid, with an average validation score of 94.67%. Based on the responses from teachers and students in the two trial schools, the e-module was categorized as very practical, with average scores of 96.25% and 98.05%, respectively. Meanwhile, the responses from teachers and students in the research school also showed that the e-module was very practical, with average scores of 97.5% and 98.6%, respectively. The effectiveness test in the two trial schools showed a result of 84.08% (effective category), while the research school showed 76.92% (effective category). Therefore, the Problem Based Learning-based e-module assisted by Heyzine Flipbook on the topic of the human respiratory system for fifth-grade elementary school students is considered very valid, very practical, and effective for use in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of educational comics on the interest in reading Indonesian in fourth-grade students at UPT SDN 142 Tamboke. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental research type, specifically a pre-experimental One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The study population was all 25 fourth-grade students at UPT SDN 142 Tamboke, who were also sampled using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques were conducted through questionnaires, observations, tests, and documentation. The results showed that the average score of students' reading interest increased from 65 in the pretest to 91 in the posttest. Furthermore, students' reading comprehension also increased from an average of 71 in the pretest to 90 in the posttest. The results of the hypothesis test using a paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), thus H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of educational comics has a significant and positive effect on increasing reading interest and Indonesian language comprehension among fourth-grade students at UPT SDN 142 Tamboke.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the following three things. First, to describe the level of biographical text writing skills of class X students of SMK Negeri 8 Padang before using the project based learning model assisted by Canva media. Second, to describe the level of biographical text writing skills of class X students of SMK Negeri 8 Padang after using the project based learning model assisted by Canva media. Third, to analyze and explain theoretically and practically the effect of the project based learning model assisted by Canva media on the biographical text writing skills of class X students of SMK Negeri 8 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with an experimental research method. The design of this study is one group pretest and posttest design. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique, namely class X Kriya 1 students as a sample totaling 36 people. Based on the research conducted, the use of the project based learning model assisted by Canva media in learning to write biographical texts shows a significant difference in improving students' biographical text writing skills. Before using the project based learning model assisted by Canva media, the value of students' biographical text writing skills was 77.66, which is in the Good (B) qualification. This indicates that students are not yet skilled at writing biographical texts. However, after using the project-based learning model with the aid of Canva, students' biographical writing skills scored 83.68, ranking them as Good (B). Therefore, it can be concluded that the project-based learning model with the aid of Canva is suitable as an effective learning model for improving biographical writing skills.

Abstract

Islamic education plays a strategic role in shaping students' social awareness, not merely as a medium for religious knowledge transfer, but also as a foundation for character development and humanitarian concern. This study examines the relationship between students' understanding of Islamic educational philosophy values and the attitudes of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students in responding to humanitarian conflict issues in the Middle East, particularly Palestine. A qualitative library research method was employed, utilizing content analysis and hermeneutical interpretation across relevant literature sources. The findings reveal that students' comprehension of values such as 'adl (justice), rahmah (compassion), and musawah (equality) remains predominantly at the cognitive-normative level and has not yet transformed into consistent affective attitudes. This gap between knowledge and attitude indicates that the value internalization process within Islamic higher education practices remains suboptimal. Therefore, educational institutions need to design curricula that are more contextual, participatory, and integrative, so that students' humanitarian awareness can be authentically cultivated as an integral part of their professional identity as

Abstract

This thesis was conducted under the supervision of Pdt. Imelda Butar-Butar, S.Th., M.Psi.,M.Pd and Dr. Nurliani Siregar, S.Ag., M.Pd at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, HKBP Nommensen University Medan. This study aims to identify and analyze the role of worship in overcoming the identity crisis of Christian students in the digital era, particularly at SMA Advent 1 Medan. The background of this research is based on the increasing phenomenon of identity crisis among adolescents due to the influence of digital media, such as low self-confidence, loss of life direction, declining spirituality, and the emergence of various psychosocial problems. In this context, worship as part of Christian Religious Education has an important role as a means of spiritual development, strengthening self-identity, and providing psychological support for students. This research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that worship plays a significant role in helping students overcome identity crises in the digital era. Through elements of worship such as prayer, Bible reading, reflection, and praise songs, students experience spiritual strengthening, increased self-awareness, and the formation of a stronger spiritual identity. In addition, worship functions as a fellowship that provides social and emotional support, helping students manage psychosocial pressures and the negative influences of digital media.
