Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation process of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model and to examine the development of collaborative attitudes among fifth grade elementary school students in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning at SD Negeri Sindang IV Sumedang. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through structured observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The subjects consisted of one fifth-grade teacher and three selected students using purposive sampling. The findings reveal that the teacher implemented all five stages of TGT class presentation, team study, game, tournament, and team recognition systematically and consistently with 100% implementation rate in the Excellent category. After the implementation of TGT, students' collaborative attitudes across five aspects (cooperation, active participation, individual responsibility, peer communication, and sportsmanship) were all categorized as Excellent (100%). However, interview data revealed that individual internalization of collaborative values had not yet been uniform, with some students exhibiting passive behavior, insufficient tournament preparation, and difficulty managing constructive disagreement. This study concludes that the TGT model effectively fosters collaborative attitudes in fifth-grade students, consistent with the cooperative learning (gotong royong) dimension of the Pancasila Student Profile in the Merdeka Curriculum, though sustained implementation is required for deeper and more equitable internalization.

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) Students' affective responses to the use of Indonesia Virtual tour learning media on the material of Indonesia's geographical conditions, 2) Factors that influence students' affective responses to the use of Indonesia Virtual tour learning media on the material of Indonesia's geographical conditions. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study research type. With the research subjects being fifth grade students of Gunungsari State Elementary School, located on Jl. Sindang Taman, RT 02/03, Jatimulya, North Sumedang District, Sumedang Regency, West Java Province. Research data collection techniques were obtained through observation, interviews and questionnaires. The conclusions from the results of this study are first, students' affective responses to the use of Indonesia Virtual tour interactive learning media in learning the material of Indonesia's geographical conditions generally show good results. This is shown through students' attention, activeness, involvement, and enthusiasm during the learning process. Students are able to participate in learning activities, such as discussions, questions and answers, and media exploration, and show positive attitudes such as respecting friends' opinions and working together in groups. Second, students' affective responses are influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors include student interest, motivation, and self-confidence, while external factors include the use of interactive learning media, the teacher's role, and the classroom atmosphere. The use of the Indonesia Virtual tour media increased student interest because it presented material on Indonesia's geographical conditions visually and concretely, making it easier for students to understand.

Abstract

Reading literacy is a crucial basic skill for elementary school students because it plays a role in understanding information and supporting the success of the learning process. However, elementary school students' reading literacy skills still show a concerning condition, particularly in aspects of letter recognition, text comprehension, and the ability to analyze and evaluate information. This study aims to analyze the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in improving elementary school students' reading literacy and identify the most effective AI media. This study used a literature study method by reviewing various sources such as scientific journals and relevant articles. Data were analyzed through a process of collecting, comparing, and combining previous research results to determine the effectiveness of using AI in improving students' reading skills. The study results show that the application of artificial intelligence in the reading learning process provides significant positive results for improving students' reading skills, both in terms of fluency, comprehension, and motivation to learn. Of the several AI media analyzed, Google Read Along showed the most satisfactory results, as evidenced by the significant increase in scores and its ability to provide customized learning and real-time feedback. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of AI, especially Google Read Along, is an effective strategy in improving students' reading literacy at the elementary level and is very suitable for learning needs in the digital age.

Abstract

  Arabic language learning in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) plays a central role in students' religious and academic development. However, passive learning environments and the dominance of conventional methods continue to hinder optimal learning outcomes. This study examines the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model on Arabic language learning outcomes among eighth-grade students at MTs Raudhatussalam Rokan Hulu. A quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group was employed. Subjects consisted of 38 students: 23 in the experimental class and 15 in the control class. Data were collected through observation sheets and learning outcome tests, then analyzed using IBM SPSS version 27 through descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality tests, Levene homogeneity tests, and independent sample t-tests. Results showed that the experimental class mean increased from 63.91 to 78.70, while the control class mean increased from 70.00 to 79.33. The independent sample t-test yielded t = -12.493 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, confirming that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Observation records across six sessions showed consistent implementation improvement from 78% to 94%, with an overall average of 87%. These findings demonstrate that the TPS model significantly improves Arabic language learning outcomes by actively engaging students through structured individual thinking, paired discussion, and whole-class sharing, making it a viable and recommended instructional strategy for Arabic language teachers in pesantren settings. Abstract

The background of this study is the low level of literacy skills, particularly in reading and the use of digital technology, among students, which stems from the suboptimal use of innovative and interactive teaching methods by educators. This study aims to evaluate whether a game-based learning approach using Gimkit in Pancasila education can significantly improve students’ literacy skills at SD Negeri 01 Metro Utara, Grade 5. In this study, the method applied was a quasi-experimental design using an unequal control group design. The total study population consisted of 75 students, with 51 students selected as the sample. Hypothesis testing was conducted using a simple linear regression formula, yielding a result of 0.00 < 0.05, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Gimkit-based game-based learning model in Pancasila education has proven effective at SD Negeri 01 Metro Utara.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of instilling character values in elementary school students amidst the challenges of globalization that affect the behavior of the younger generation. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of teachers in instilling character values through Civic and Pancasila Education (PPKn) learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. The research subjects consisted of fourth-grade PPKn teachers, the principal, and fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 188 Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the role of teachers in instilling character values includes the role as a role model, inspirator, motivator, dynamic facilitator, and evaluator. The most dominant role is as a role model through (1) habituating to pray before and after learning, (2) showing discipline by arriving on time, conducting learning according to schedule, and being brave enough to admit mistakes, (3) actively participating in group work, (4) using Indonesian in the learning process, implementing agreed-upon rules, and (5) demonstrating earnestness in fulfilling teaching responsibilities by conducting structured learning.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of School-Based Management (SBM) in managing daily school programs at the primary level, addressing a gap in prior studies that predominantly emphasize structural and administrative dimensions rather than practice-based implementation. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal and teachers, and analyzed using an interactive model with triangulation to ensure validity. The findings indicate that SBM effectiveness is demonstrated through the operational integration of autonomy, participation, and accountability into daily school practices. The novelty of this study lies in positioning daily programs as a micro-level governance mechanism through which SBM is enacted and sustained. Programs such as PACAR CINA, PALING GAMES, DORAMI, MELALI, and JUST SEGAR function as strategic instruments for embedding character education and strengthening school culture. Collaborative leadership and participatory decision-making serve as key enabling factors, while infrastructural constraints and limited development of contextual pedagogy remain persistent challenges. By shifting the analytical focus from structural compliance to situated practice, this study contributes to the refinement of SBM discourse and highlights the importance of continuous, context-sensitive improvement to enhance the quality of primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the design of the salaf curriculum in Madrasah Diniyah Mu’allimin, the alignment between the salaf curriculum and the standards of the Equality Education Package Program, and the governance of dual-curriculum implementation at Pondok Pesantren Zainul Hasanain. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with the researcher as the main instrument. Data are planned to be collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using an interactive thematic analysis. This study is grounded in the need to integrate formal and non-formal education, which requires alignment of objectives, content, methods, assessment, and managerial accountability. Recent studies show that the success of curriculum integration in Islamic boarding schools is strongly influenced by curriculum management, harmonization with the national curriculum, adaptive governance, and structured management of equality education programs through the functions of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. This study is expected to produce a mapping of curriculum design, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and formulate operational recommendations so that the integration of the salaf curriculum and the equality education package can run effectively without eliminating the distinctive character of the pesantren.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media, particularly TikTok, has transformed how audiences consume information and form perceptions of a brand, making visual storytelling content an essential element in digital marketing communication strategies. However, studies examining the influence of visual storytelling on brand image formation on TikTok are still limited. This study aims to analyze the effect of visual storytelling content on the formation of brand image on the @kollainforest TikTok account among its followers. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 100 respondents who are followers of the @kollainforest account. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using classical assumption tests and simple linear regression. The results show that visual storytelling content is categorized as high across all dimensions, while brand image is also categorized as high. The regression analysis indicates a positive and significant effect of visual storytelling on brand image, with a regression coefficient of 0.401 and a significance value of < 0.001. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.438, indicating that visual storytelling contributes 43.8% to the formation of brand image, which is considered a moderately strong effect. These findings suggest that improving the quality of visual storytelling content can strengthen brand image in the minds of the audience. Therefore, businesses and content creators are encouraged to optimize creative, consistent, and communicative visual content as a strategy to build a positive brand image.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low academic achievement of students I IPAS instruction. This is due to teaching that remains teacher centred, suboptimal instructional modules, a lack of problem solving and group discussion, a failure to connect the material to everyday life, and minimal use of instructional media. These conditions result in student being less active, less motivated, and easily bored during the learning process. Therefore, learning, innovations are needed to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. This study aims to improve student learning oucomes through the application of a Wordwall assisted Deep Learning approach in fourth grade classrooms. The research design employed wa Clasroom Action Research (CAR) using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The study was conducted in two cycles, each comprising the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through both test and non test techniques. The research subjects consisted of a fourth grade theacher serving as an observer, the researcher as the practitioner, and 27 fourth grade stundents at SDN 05 Air Tawat Barat in Padang City. The research results indicate improvements in every aspect. The teaching module score increased from an average of 80,28 (C) in Cycle I to 95,23 (SB) in Cyle II. Theacer activity increased from 85,30 (B) to 95,23 (SB). Student activity increased from 80,49 (C) to 95,23 (SB). Students learning outcomes improved from 71,41 (C) in Cycle I to 85,18 (B) in Cyle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Wordwall assisted Deep Learning approach effectively improves student learning outcames.
