Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving tolerance in elementary school students. The study used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with PRISMA guidelines as a reference in the process of searching, filtering, and analyzing articles. Data sources were obtained from various national scientific databases with articles published in 2020–2026. The selection results showed that there were 15 articles that met the inclusion criteria and were used in this study. Based on the analysis results, the implementation of PBL has been proven to improve students' tolerance through discussion activities, group work, and collaborative problem solving. In addition to increasing tolerance, this model also supports the development of communication skills, collaboration, social interaction, empathy, and an attitude of respect for diversity. The majority of articles analyzed used experimental methods and Classroom Action Research (CAR), and were applied to Pancasila Education and Mathematics subjects. Although the implementation of PBL requires more time and teacher skills in managing learning, this model is considered effective in creating active learning and supporting the strengthening of elementary school students' character.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical reasoning abilities of fifth-grade students, particularly in mixed arithmetic operations. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the Team Quiz learning strategy assisted by Wordwall on students' mathematical reasoning abilities in mathematics. The method used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research instrument used was a mathematical reasoning test consisting of 10 description items. Based on the instrument trial conducted on 31 students at SDN 3 Bayongbong, the results showed that 9 out of 10 items were declared valid with a very high reliability coefficient of 0.948. These results indicate that the instrument used is suitable for measuring students' reasoning abilities. The implementation of the Team Quiz strategy assisted by Wordwall media is expected to provide a more active, collaborative, and fun learning experience, thereby stimulating students to improve their mathematical reasoning abilities logically and systematically

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the role of artistic supervision in improving the pedagogical competence of junior high school teachers. This research was motivated by the suboptimal level of teachers’ pedagogical competence, particularly in lesson planning, classroom management, selection of teaching methods, and learning evaluation. This study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving school principals, supervisors, and junior high school teachers. The results indicated that artistic supervision has been implemented through humanistic, dialogical, and reflective approaches; however, its implementation has not been optimal and consistent due to the continued use of traditional, instructional, and evaluative supervision approaches, as well as weak follow-up activities. This study concludes that artistic supervision plays an important role in improving teachers’ pedagogical competence, but it needs to be implemented systematically, collaboratively, and sustainably to achieve comprehensive and continuous improvement.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of eighth grade students of SMPN 12 Padang. This study aims to determine whether student learning outcomes with the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) model are better than the implementation of conventional learning at SMPN 12 Padang. This type of research is an experimental study with a True Experimental design with a posttest-only control group design. This study was conducted with two sample class groups, the first experimental class that applies the TPS model and the second control class that uses the conventional learning model (PBL). The sampling of both samples was carried out using a Random Sampling technique consisting of 9 sample populations. The population of this study was eighth grade students of SMPN 12 Padang. The instrument used in this study was a Post-test in the form of an essay. The test statistics used for hypothesis testing were the t-test, because the two sample classes were not normally distributed. The results of the hypothesis test obtained t_count = 4.7 and t_table = -1.6. Since t_calculated > t_table with a significance level of 0.05, H_0 is rejected, meaning the hypothesis is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at SMPN 12 Padang using the Think Pair Share (TPS) model are better than those using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze educational supervision from both theoretical and implementation perspectives through a literature review approach. The research employs a qualitative method using a literature review design, which involves examining various scholarly sources, including national and international journal articles, books, and relevant educational policy documents related to educational supervision. The findings indicate that educational supervision plays a strategic role in improving the quality of learning through continuous professional development of teachers, strengthening reflective practice, enhancing teacher performance, and fostering a collaborative school culture. Theoretically, supervision has evolved from an administrative-oriented approach to a more humanistic, collaborative, and reflective approach. However, in practice, several challenges are still identified, such as limited supervisor competence, teacher resistance, weak planning and follow-up of supervision, and the tendency of supervision to remain administrative in nature. On the other hand, the development of digital technology provides opportunities to develop more effective and adaptive supervision practices. Therefore, strengthening educational supervision through innovative, collaborative, and teacher-needs-based approaches is essential to sustainably improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research was conducted in two cycles, namely Cycle I consisting of two meetings and Cycle II consisting of one meeting. Each cycle included the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research instruments used were observation sheets, tests, and documentation. The subjects of this study were the teacher and 22 fourth grade students of SDN 13 Pasar Remaja, Sawahlunto City.The results of the study showed improvements in lesson planning, implementation, and students’ reading comprehension learning outcomes. The lesson plan assessment increased from Cycle I and reached 96% with a Very Good qualification in Cycle II. Teacher activities improved to 90% with a Good qualification, while student activities increased to 85% with a Good qualification. Students’ reading comprehension learning outcomes also improved from an average score of 75.5 in Cycle I to 86 in Cycle II, with the learning mastery percentage reaching 90%. Therefore, the implementation of the Cooperative Learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS) was able to improve the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at SDN 13 Pasar Remaja, Sawahlunto City.

Abstract

This study focuses on mapping the dynamics of phonological acquisition in 3-year-old Indonesian children, employing a micro-longitudinal approach. A mixed-methods design was implemented, integrating intensive naturalistic observation over 1.5 months with an integrated analytical procedure. Spontaneous speech data were collected using the participant observation technique, then analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitative analysis involved tabulating the frequency of phonological processes and calculating the Mean Length of Utterance (MLU), while qualitative analysis was conducted descriptively-analytically based on psycholinguistic developmental principles. The research findings indicate a dominance of phonological substitution (39.5%) and deletion (26.3%) processes, with an achieved MLU of 1.63. Consistent articulatory patterns identified include the apheresis of initial nasal consonant /m/, labialization, liquid yotacism, and functional reduplication. These findings confirm that sound deviations during this developmental phase are systematic and adaptive, reflecting cognitive-motor compensatory strategies employed by children in constructing the target phonological system. Theoretically, these findings enrich the validity of the Natural Phonology framework and Usage-Based Theory within the Indonesian context. Practical implications include providing normative references for clinical speech diagnosis and promoting a linguistic parenting approach responsive to children's developmental stages. This research makes a significant contribution to understanding early childhood phonological development in Indonesia.

Abstract

  This research is motivated by the low understanding of students towards the concept of compound addition and the lack of use of interesting and interactive learning media in the mathematics learning process in elementary schools. Therefore, MIMIMAT learning media was developed to help students understand the concept of compound addition more easily and enjoyably. This study aims to analyze the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of MIMIMAT media on the understanding of the concept of compound addition. This study aims to analyze the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of MIMIMAT media and its influence on the understanding of the concept of compound addition of grade III students. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. Data were collected through expert validation, questionnaires, tests, interviews, and observations, then analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results of the study indicate that MIMIMAT media meets the valid criteria based on the assessment results of material experts and media experts. The media was also declared practical based on teacher and student responses that showed a good category. Statistical tests showed a significant increase in conceptual understanding (Sig. = 0.013) with an N-Gain value of 0.60 (moderate category). This finding confirms that the use of MIMIMAT media is in line with constructivism theory which states that students more easily understand concepts when directly involved in the learning process through concrete media and meaningful learning experiences. In addition, MIMIMAT media supports an active learning approach because it is able to help students build an understanding of the concept of compound addition gradually and systematically. Abstract

The background of this study is the low learning outcomes and learning activeness of third grade pupils in Civic Education (PPKn) at SDN 2 Ketileng. The learning activities were still teacher-centered and did not incorporate new media; thus, the students were passive in the lessons. This research was conducted to increase student learning outcomes and activeness by applying the Numbered Head Together (NHT) model supplemented by smart box media and video. This study used Classroom Action Research in two cycles with the number of students 21. Data were acquired through testing, observations, interviews and documentation. Results showed that the introduction of NHT model with smart box and video media helped in improving the learning outcome and activeness of the students. The mastery of learning was increased from 42.86% in the pre-cycle, to 66.67% in cycle I, and 85.71% in cycle II. The students’ activeness also rose from cycle I (80.95%) to cycle II (100%). Students were more eager, confident and engaging in discussions and presentations. NHT model helped smart box and video media may be employed as an innovative learning alternative in primary school.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the utilization of Griha Litera educational tourism in fostering students’ environmental literacy interest at SDN Banjar Kertek. Environmental literacy is an important competency for elementary school students as it relates to their understanding, attitudes, and behaviors in caring for the environment. However, in reality, environmental literacy among elementary students is still relatively low, as indicated by low awareness of environmental cleanliness, weak reading habits related to environmental issues, and limited student participation in environmental preservation activities. This research employed a descriptive quantitative method with the population consisting of fourth-grade students at SDN Banjar Kertek. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, documentation, and structured interviews. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics including mean, median, mode, standard deviation, and qualitative analysis. The results showed that the utilization of Griha Litera educational tourism was categorized as good and contributed positively to students’ environmental literacy interest. Students demonstrated interest in environmental-themed reading materials, active involvement in field activities, and caring attitudes toward the surrounding environment. It is recommended that schools integrate educational tourism and experiential learning activities continuously as a strategy to improve students’ environmental literacy from an early age.
