Abstract

This study examines the strategy of integrating Islamic Religious Education (IRE/PAI) values into Scout extracurricular activities as a systematic effort to cultivate religious character in students at MAN 8 Jombang. The study is grounded in a tangible gap between students' theoretical comprehension of Islamic norms and their ability to actualize those norms in daily behavior. It aims to: (1) describe the integration models applied within Scout activities; (2) analyze the impact of such integration on students' religious character formation; and (3) identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, involving PAI teachers across four subject areas (Qur'an-Hadith, Islamic Creed and Ethics, Fiqh, and Islamic Cultural History), Scout leaders, and students. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, validated through source and technique triangulation. Findings reveal that PAI-Scout integration at MAN 8 Jombang operates through three Fogarty models: connected (linking classroom content with field activities), nested (embedding multiple affective-cognitive targets within a single activity), and shared (using joint activities as integration vehicles). The most significant impact is observed in the strengthening of moral action within Lickona's character framework, particularly in the domains of worship discipline, honesty, responsibility, and social care. Key supporting factors include institutional policy support and personal teacher-leader collaboration, while primary obstacles are unstructured institutional coordination and disparities in students' motivation.

Abstract

This study addresses the decline in group cohesion and the rise of student egocentrism driven by the dominance of passive digital learning. To bridge this gap, this research integrates virtual learning technology with local wisdom through the traditional game Bakiak. Utilizing Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a descriptive qualitative approach, the instructional intervention applied the TANDUR cycle of the Quantum Learning model. Within this framework, a virtual simulator served as a cognitive and psychological conditioning medium before students engaged in direct social implementation on the field. The subjects were fourth-grade students at SDN Pedurungan Kidul 02, Semarang. Data were gathered through participant observation and in-depth interviews, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings revealed a significant increase in interpersonal intelligence and a reduction in student social fragmentation. Although individualistic conflicts dominated student interactions during the initial cycle, this resistance was successfully mitigated by Cycle II. Students demonstrated enhanced social maturity, characterized by strengthened empathy and adaptive cooperative skills within groups. This study concludes that the convergence of digital innovation and local tradition can effectively synergize to restore student social dynamics. The practical implication underscores the urgency of reconstructing technology-based learning to remain oriented toward fostering humanistic character and student collectivity in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines the dominance of digital language in elementary school students’ communication and its impact on their writing skills. The rapid growth of digital technology has significantly influenced students’ communication patterns through the frequent use of abbreviations, slang, emojis, and mixed languages in online interactions. This research aims to analyze how digital language affects students’ formal writing abilities and to identify the role of educators in guiding appropriate language use. The study employed a qualitative approach using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA framework. Data were collected from scientific articles published between 2020 and 2026 through academic databases such as Google Scholar, Portal Garuda, and Semantic Scholar. The findings indicate that digital language has both positive and negative impacts on students’ writing skills. Positively, digital media can enhance creativity, motivation, literacy engagement, and communication efficiency through interactive learning tools. However, excessive use of non-standard language may reduce students’ mastery of formal Indonesian writing, including spelling accuracy, sentence structure, and adherence to language conventions. The results also reveal that factors such as the intensity of gadget use, learning environment, and teacher supervision strongly influence these outcomes. Therefore, teachers play a crucial role in balancing the integration of digital language and formal language instruction in elementary education. The study concludes that digital language significantly affects students’ writing development and requires proper educational strategies to support effective language learning.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of religious literacy and the emergence of a character crisis among students, reflecting a discrepancy between the values taught in schools and students’ actual behavior. The study aims to analyze the implementation of Qur’anic Reading and Writing (Baca Tulis Al-Qur’an/BTQ) learning in character formation, examine its impact on students’ behavioral changes, and identify the gap between values and practices within the school environment. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving teachers and students as research informants. The data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while the validity of the findings was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that BTQ learning not only enhances students’ ability to read the Qur’an but also serves as a medium for the internalization of character education through habituation, exemplary conduct, and motivational reinforcement. The implementation of BTQ learning contributes to the improvement of students’ religiosity, discipline, and social attitudes. However, these changes have not been evenly manifested among all students, indicating the persistence of a gap between the values conveyed in learning and students’ actual behavior. This discrepancy is influenced by internal factors, external factors, and the existing learning system. The study concludes that BTQ learning plays a strategic role in shaping students’ character; nevertheless, greater emphasis on evaluation aspects and instructional strategies is required to optimize the internalization of values.

Abstract

Challenges faced by students in studying Islamic religious education. Related to procedures, content limitations, and student challenges related to material covering verses of the Qur'an, as well as reading and writing the Qur'an, especially those related to ability. Please note. After that, an assessment was conducted using Islamic Religious Education Teacher Strategies to help students who experience learning difficulties, including interacting directly with students, providing understanding and guidance on religious knowledge through various methods, and providing guidance through the Tahfis and Rohi programs three times a week. The low reading and writing abilities of students at the early education level, coupled with a lack of interest and enthusiasm for learning are examples of internal variables. Teacher factors can be examples of external factors. These include teaching strategies and media that are not appropriate to student characteristics and household elements that neglect their children. Student motivation to learn can decrease due to additional variables, such as cell phone use.

Abstract

The internship program in the Business and Industrial World (DU/DI) is a form of practical learning aimed at improving students’ competencies according to workplace demands. This study aims to describe the implementation of internship activities in the OPS storage and goods issuing section of a logistics company and to analyze the effectiveness of the operational system applied. This research used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including observation, informal interviews, and documentation during the internship activities. The results showed that the goods storage system had implemented the FIFO (First In First Out) method with a compliance rate of 92%, which helped maintain proper goods rotation. The application of a barcode system in stock recording also increased inventory accuracy up to 95%. In addition, the timeliness of goods issuing reached 92%, while warehouse arrangement activities achieved 90%. The obstacles encountered mainly originated from internet network disruptions and limited scanner devices that affected operational efficiency. Overall, the internship activities provided students with real experience in understanding logistics systems and warehouse management, as well as improving technical competencies and soft skills needed in the industrial world.

Abstract

This study examines the role of information and communication technology in improving the operational efficiency of educational institutions, particularly in the areas of administration, academic services, and learning management. Through a qualitative approach based on a literature review of scientific sources from the past five years, it was found that the use of technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), Academic Information Systems (SIAKAD), and cloud computing can automate processes, accelerate services, reduce costs, and improve data accuracy and transparency. However, challenges such as low digital literacy, infrastructure limitations, and resistance to change remain obstacles. Therefore, technology implementation must be carried out gradually, tailored to the institution’s readiness, accompanied by continuous training, and supported by government policies regarding infrastructure and regulations. These findings can serve as a reference in formulating effective and sustainable digital transformation strategies for education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between reading habits and students’ reading comprehension literacy among fourth and fifth grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Maccini Sombala 1, Makassar. The background of this research is the low level of reading habits and reading comprehension literacy among students in Indonesia, which remains a major challenge in primary education. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The sample consisted of 104 students selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a reading habits questionnaire and a reading comprehension literacy test. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis. The results showed that students’ reading habits were mostly in the moderate category, with an average score of 56.577, while their reading comprehension literacy was in the fair category, with an average score of 62.298. The correlation test revealed a correlation coefficient of 0.128 with a significance value of 0.196 (p > 0.05), indicating that there is no significant relationship between reading habits and reading comprehension literacy. These findings suggest that reading comprehension literacy is influenced not only by reading habits but also by other factors that need to be further investigated.

Abstract

Da’wah as an instrument of socio religious tranformation, plays a strategic role in shaping public ethics, thought patterns, and communal character. KH. Ahmad Mustofa Bisri, a prominent Indonesian Muslim scholar, poet and cultural figure, stands out as a central figure in promoting moderate Islam in Indonesian. This study aims to identify, analyze, and contextualize the methods and focus of KH. Mustofa Bisri da’wah within the framework of modern, pluralistic society. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and literature review as the primary technique, the study reveals tha KH. Mustofa Bisri employ a humanistic, aesthetic, contextual, and spiritually reflective approach to da’wah. His methods include dialogical and empathetic preaching, inclusive aducational practices, the use of social media, religious literature and poetry, as well as the integration of Islamic values with artistic expression. The focus of this da’wah extends beyond ritual observance, emphasizing religious consciouness, interfaith tolerance, moderate theology, social critique through non provocative language, and intellectual ampowerment of the youth. His soft spoken, inclusive communication style proves effective in promoting an understanding of Islam as a peaceful, substantial, and humanistic faith. In conclusion, KH. Mustofa Bisri da’wah model offers a strategic paradigm for contemporary Islamic propagation one that is relevant to the challenges of the modern age and rooted in the values of peace, justice and human dignity.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low understanding of mathematical concepts among third-grade elementary school students. The study aimed to determine the implementation of the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach, describe students’ understanding of mathematical concepts, and examine the effect of the CPA approach on students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. This research used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method and a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population consisted of all third-grade students of SD Negeri 293 Tanah Kongkong, Bulukumba Regency, with a sample of 24 students selected using saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through observation sheets and mathematical concept understanding tests. Data analysis techniques used descriptive and inferential statistics through the t-test. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of the CPA approach in mathematics learning was categorized as very good, (2) students’ understanding of mathematical concepts increased and was categorized as high after the implementation of the CPA approach, and (3) there was a significant effect of the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach on students’ understanding of mathematical concepts, indicated by a significance value less than 0.05. Therefore, the CPA approach can be used as an effective alternative in improving elementary school students’ understanding of mathematical concepts.
