Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of transforming Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) instruction through movement activities on the numeracy and movement skills of elementary school students. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The study sample consisted of 36 students. Research instruments included a numeracy test and a movement skills test (TGMD-2). Data were analyzed using normality tests, paired sample tests, and N-Gain tests. Shapiro-Wilk normality test results indicated that the data for numeracy skills (pretest p = 0.071; posttest p = 0.062) and fundamental movement skills (pretest p = 0.120; posttest p = 0.490) were normally distributed (p > 0.05), thereby satisfying the assumptions for parametric analysis. Furthermore, paired sample test results revealed significant differences between pretest and posttest scores for both numeracy and fundamental movement skills (p = 0.000 < 0.05). The magnitude of the improvement in learning outcomes was analyzed using the N-Gain test. Results showed N-Gain values of 0.51 for numeracy skills and 0.58 for fundamental movement skills; both values fall into the moderate category. These findings indicate that integrating movement activities into PJOK instruction has an impact on numeracy and fundamental movement skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cultural values and governance system of the Buton Sultanate and their relevance to Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn). The study focuses on the cultural heritage of the Buton Sultanate, the *Martabat 7* concept as a philosophical foundation for governance, the *musyawarah*-based (deliberative) sultan election system, and the Museum of the Last Sultan of Buton as a medium for historical preservation. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing a field study method conducted in the Buton Palace (Keraton) area of Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi. Data collection involved observation, documentation, and semi-structured interviews with informants knowledgeable about the history and culture of the Buton Sultanate. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis, with Pancasila values and PPKn principles serving as the analytical framework. The results indicate that the cultural heritage of the Buton Sultanate possesses not only historical value but also embodies values of deliberation, justice, leadership, religiosity, and social responsibility—all of which align with Pancasila values, particularly the second, fourth, and fifth principles. The *Martabat 7* concept demonstrates an integration of Islamic teachings and governance, emphasizing moral integrity and a balance between citizens' rights and obligations. The sultan election system via the *Siolimbona* reflects a local democratic practice rooted in deliberation, while the Museum of the Last Sultan of Buton holds potential as a contextual learning resource for civic education, despite requiring more optimal management. This study affirms that the cultural heritage of the Buton Sultanate serves as an authentic learning resource capable of strengthening character education, national identity, and historical awareness within PPKn instruction.

Abstract

The era of disruption and the policy of centralizing licensing through the Online Single Submission Risk-Based Approach (OSS-RBA) pose challenges to innovation in public services at the local level. This study aims to analyze the application of Dynamic Governance capabilities in the implementation of the Integrated Licensing Service Information System (SIPPADU) application at the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Agency (DPMPTSP) of Sidoarjo Regency. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis using purposive sampling to select informants. Data analysis employed the Miles and Huberman interactive model, while the analytical framework utilized the Dynamic Governance theory by (Neo & Chen, 2007), which encompasses the aspects of “thinking ahead,” “thinking again,” and “thinking across.” The research results indicate that the Sidoarjo Regency DPMPTSP has comprehensively implemented all three of these capabilities. The “thinking ahead” aspect was implemented through a strategy to reposition SIPPADU as a complementary application to handle permits not covered by the OSS. The “thinking again” aspect was realized by redesigning SIPPADU into a “Next Generation” version based on performance evaluations and public feedback. Meanwhile, the “thinking across” aspect is achieved by adopting innovative practices from other agencies and combining them with local technological assets. This synergy of capabilities has proven effective in maintaining SIPPADU’s role as an adaptive, complementary system for ensuring the quality of public services in the region.

Abstract

Deep learning is an educational approach that emphasizes a profound understanding of concepts and the mastery of competencies. This study focuses specifically on the element of "mindful learning." Its objectives are to describe the implementation of the mindful learning approach within the Pancasila Education curriculum for second-grade students and to identify the factors that facilitate or hinder this implementation. A descriptive qualitative research method was employed. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation, utilizing corresponding guidelines and sheets. Data analysis followed the framework proposed by Miles & Huberman (1984)—as cited in Sugiyono (2023: 438)—comprising data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was verified through triangulation of sources and time. The results indicate that mindful learning was implemented through activities such as expressing feelings at the beginning and end of lessons, singing national songs, engaging in Q&A sessions regarding Pancasila values, and fostering a habit among students to ask questions when material was not understood. Implementation was supported by the Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum), teacher training, the teachers' creative application of mindful learning, and consistent teacher practices. Challenges included limited facilities and infrastructure, the influence of the students' environments, and the diverse characteristics of the students. In conclusion, the implementation of mindful learning in second-grade Pancasila Education at SDN 01 Rembun successfully fostered a learning environment that was more conscious, active, and meaningful. This was evident across the three stages of the lesson: the opening, core activities, and closing.

Abstract

The problem of the lack of basic sentence structure skills among second-grade students of SD Negeri 20 Sinapa Piliang, Solok City, is the fundamental basis for conducting this research. Various technical obstacles are experienced by students, ranging from the inability to construct sentences according to standard structural rules, low accuracy in vocabulary selection, to errors in the use of capital letters and punctuation that are not in line with Indonesian language rules. In addition, difficulties in converting ideas into text form result in student learning outcomes not reaching the KKTP. This research focuses on efforts to improve simple sentence writing skills by implementing PWIM in second-grade students of SD Negeri 20 Sinapa Piliang, Solok City. This study is categorized as CAR that combines qualitative and quantitative approaches. The series of investigations are carried out through two cycles, with two meetings in Cycle I and one meeting in Cycle II, where each cycle includes the planning phase, action execution, observation, and reflection. Participants in this study involved educators and 27 second-grade students of SD Negeri 20 Sinapa Piliang, Solok City, in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through observation, test, and documentation instruments, then processed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of the study confirmed that the implementation of PWIM successfully stimulated an increase in the ability to write simple sentences in second-grade students of SD Negeri 20 Sinapa Piliang, Solok City. This achievement was proven by the escalation of the average learning outcomes from 76.51% in Cycle I Meeting I to 80.10% in Cycle I Meeting II, and continued to grow to reach 87.10% in Cycle II. A positive trend was also seen in the percentage of learning completion which increased from 55.56% in Cycle I Meeting I to 62.96% in Cycle I Meeting II, and reached 81.48% in Cycle II. Based on the reality of the data, it can be concluded that PWIM is effectively able to accelerate the skills of writing simple sentences in second-grade students of SD Negeri 20 Sinapa Piliang, Solok City.

Abstract

Injuries are a common risk in Physical Education, Sports, and Health classes due to high levels of physical activity. This situation requires sports teachers to be able to identify various types of injuries and provide appropriate care to minimize their impact. This study aims to describe the types of injuries occurring during sports lessons and the injury management efforts undertaken by sports teachers at SMP Negeri 5 Semarang. A qualitative, descriptive research approach was employed. Participants included sports teachers, first aid/school health unit staff, and 30 eighth-grade students selected via purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was verified through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that fainting and abrasions were the most common injuries, while others included bruises, muscle cramps, sprains, and fractures. Factors contributing to injuries included suboptimal student physical condition, insufficient food and fluid intake, the frequency of sports activities, field conditions, and hot weather. Injury management was carried out by sports teachers in collaboration with first aid/school health unit staff, involving first aid measures tailored to the specific type of injury. However, challenges remained, such as limited supervision, variations in students' physical conditions, and a lack of supporting facilities. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance teachers' first aid competence, provide adequate first aid facilities, and strengthen injury prevention programs to improve safety during sports lessons. Abstract

Reflective practice holds significant importance in teacher education as it allows educators to assess their teaching experiences critically and enhance their professional skills (Diseth, 2025). This research seeks to investigate how English pre-service teachers experience reflective practice through video and transcript-based self-observation during their teaching practicum. This investigation utilized a qualitative research framework employing Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) to delve into the lived experiences of participants regarding video-aided reflection. The study involved six English pre-service teachers participating in a three-month practicum at a senior high school located in Indonesia. Data collection included video observations of the participants' teaching practices followed by comprehensive semi-structured interviews. The data from these interviews were transcribed and examined using IPA methods to discern key experiences, develop themes, and understand participants' perspectives on their reflection processes. This study aims to shed light on how video and transcript-based reflection can facilitate reflective practice and professional development among future English teachers. The outcomes are expected to enhance teacher training by emphasizing the advantages of video-based reflection as a mechanism to encourage more evidence-informed and critical reflection.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between portfolio assessment and the mastery of Arabic writing skills among eighth-grade students at MTsS Ma'had Al-Zaytun, both overall and in terms of the aspects of morphology, syntax, and semantics. The study is motivated by the importance of portfolio assessment as a form of authentic assessment that systematically documents students' learning processes and outcomes, thereby having the potential to support the development of Arabic writing skills. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students at MTsS Ma'had Al-Zaytun, with a sample of 83 students. Data were collected through documentation of portfolio assessment scores as the independent variable and an Arabic writing skills test as the dependent variable. The test instrument met the criteria of validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using Kendall's tau-b correlation test with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics 29.0. The results indicate that there is no significant relationship between portfolio assessment and students' mastery of Arabic writing skills. Similar findings were obtained for the aspects of morphology, syntax, and semantics, with all significance values exceeding the 0.05 significance level. Although the direction of the correlation was positive, the correlation coefficients, which were close to zero, indicate that the strength of the relationship falls within the very weak category. Therefore, the portfolio assessment implemented in this study did not demonstrate a statistically significant relationship with students' mastery of Arabic writing skills. These findings suggest that factors other than portfolio assessment may contribute more substantially to students' mastery of Arabic writing skills.

Abstract

Student well-being in English Language Teaching (ELT) is a crucial aspect for students, as their success is measured not only by linguistic proficiency but also by their emotional state. However, studies systematically mapping the development of well-being in ELT remain limited. This study aims to identify research trends, key themes, and research gaps and future directions regarding well-being in ELT. It employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology following PRISMA guidelines. Data were obtained from the Scopus database through a process of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. Out of 1,451 initial articles identified, 17 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate a significant increase in publications concerning well-being in ELT since 2020. The analysis identified four key research themes: psychological factors supporting well-being; the roles of teachers and the learning environment; the relationship between well-being and language learning outcomes; and well-being as an approach within ELT theory and practice. Furthermore, existing research is predominantly characterized by specific national contexts, quantitative approaches, and a view of well-being as an outcome. These findings underscore the importance of integrating well-being into English Language Teaching
