Abstract

The transformation of spirituality assessment in Islamic education toward a digital portfolio approach has become a central issue in affective evaluation still faces various methodological challenges, such as social desirability bias and the lack of data triangulation. This study aims to analyze trends in the use of affective assessment instruments and identify gaps in the transformation toward more integrative and digital approaches. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the Kitchenham & Charters guidelines. Article searches were conducted through Google Scholar, GARUDA, SINTA, and DOAJ databases for the period 2015–2025. From 200 initial articles, 25 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed. The results show that (1) Likert scales in self-report instruments remain dominant, (2) the use of direct observation and peer assessment remains very limited, (3) no affective evaluation model integrating all three approaches has been identified, and (4) the transformation toward digital assessment is still in its early stages. This study recommends the development of an integrated affective assessment model based on triangulation and digitalization as a direction for future transformation

Abstract

The low level of students' critical thinking skills in Civic Education (PPKn) indicates the need for more interactive and contextual digital learning materials. This study aimed to develop a case study-based e-module that is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in Civic Education. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research subjects included material experts, media experts, teachers, and junior high school students. The results showed that the developed e-module achieved an average validation score of 88.7%, indicating that it was highly valid. It was also considered highly practical based on teachers' and students' responses and proved effective in improving students' critical thinking skills, as indicated by an N-Gain score of 0.74, which falls into the high category. Through the use of authentic case studies related to citizenship issues, students were encouraged to analyze problems, evaluate alternative solutions, and make decisions based on the values of Pancasila. Therefore, the case study-based e-module can serve as an alternative digital learning resource that supports the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum while fostering critical thinking skills as one of the essential competencies required in the twenty-first century.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teacher activities, student activities, and students' mathematical critical reasoning ability after the implementation of deep learning integrated with Majapahit ethnomathematics on similarity material. The low critical reasoning ability of junior high school students, reflected in an initial test mean score of only 35.89, far below the minimum mastery criteria of 78, became the background of this study. The research used a quantitative descriptive method with a One Shot Case Study design. The sample consisted of 32 students of class VII-A at SMP Negeri 2 Puri, selected through Simple Random Sampling. Data were collected through observation and a mathematical critical reasoning test referring to four indicators: obtaining and processing information, analyzing information, reflecting on thinking, and decision making. The results showed that teacher activity reached 86.6% and student activity reached 96.6%, both in the very good category. The critical reasoning test results showed that 6 students (18.7%) were in the high category, 21 students (65.6%) in the moderate category, and 5 students (15.6%) in the low category, with an overall mean score of 73.82. The highest indicator mean was obtaining and processing information (3.7), while the lowest was decision making (1.9). These findings indicate that the implementation of deep learning integrated with Majapahit ethnomathematics can support students' mathematical critical reasoning ability.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of the Specific Goods and Services Tax (PBJT) and Regional Levies on the Locally-Generated Revenue (PAD) of Kepulauan Selayar Regency for the 2021-2025 period. The research is motivated by the regency's substantial tourism potential, most notably Takabonerate National Park, which has not been matched by optimal tax and levy revenue realization, leaving tourism potential and its contribution to regional fiscal independence disconnected. A quantitative descriptive approach was applied to secondary time-series data for 2021-2025 sourced from the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), the Regional Revenue Agency (BAPENDA), and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Kepulauan Selayar Regency. Data were analyzed through classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing (t-test and F-test) using IBM SPSS Statistics 29. The results show that PBJT (sig. = 0.002) and regional levies (sig. = 0.031) each have a positive and significant effect on PAD, while simultaneously the two variables significantly affect PAD (F = 331.985, sig. = 0.003) and explain 99.7 percent of its variation (R Square = 0.997). Optimizing the collection of PBJT and regional levies is therefore a key strategy for strengthening the fiscal independence of Kepulauan Selayar Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and examine the feasibility of a Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) test instrument for the subject of Fiqh on the topic of Ikhlasul Amal (slaughtering, sacrificial offering/qurban, and aqiqah), designed based on a socio-scientific issues (SSI) approach to strengthen students' ethical reasoning. The instrument consists of 35 multiple-choice items and 5 essay items constructed around contextual cases such as ostentation (riya') in performing qurban, unequal distribution of sacrificial meat, and social pressure in religious practice, requiring students to analyze, evaluate, and create solutions (cognitive levels C4-C6) rather than merely recall textual fiqh rulings. This Research and Development (R&D) study involved a limited trial with 25 ninth-grade students at MTsN 5 Magetan. The instrument's feasibility was examined through content validity (Aiken's V) by five expert validators, empirical item validity (product moment correlation), reliability (Cronbach's Alpha), normality testing (Shapiro-Wilk), and classical item analysis using Iteman 4.3. Results show that all 35 items obtained Aiken's V indices between 0.80 and 1.00 (very valid category), all items were empirically valid (r-count 0.463-0.782 > r-table 0.396), the instrument was highly reliable (α = 0.959), and student score data were normally distributed (Shapiro-Wilk Sig. = 0.077). Nonetheless, classical item analysis revealed eleven items with low to negative discrimination indices (Rpbis), indicating the need to revise certain distractors. Overall, the instrument is considered feasible for measuring students' higher order thinking skills and ethical reasoning on the topic of Ikhlasul Amal, with recommended revisions to several items prior to wider-scale use

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of the Indonesian Language Final Examination (UAS) questions for grade VII of Public Junior High Schools in Sibolga City for the 2025/2026 Academic Year based on the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. The analysis focused on the suitability of the questions to the Learning Outcomes (CP) and Learning Objectives (TP), the distribution of cognitive levels of the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy, and the characteristics of questions based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The research method used was descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques. The research objects were UAS question script documents from Public Junior High Schools 2 Sibolga, Public Junior High School 3 Sibolga, and Public Junior High School 4 Sibolga. The results showed that the question material was generally in accordance with CP Phase D, but there were indicators of productive writing skills that had not been accommodated. The distribution of cognitive levels was still dominated by the Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) and Middle Order Thinking Skills (MOTS) categories, while HOTS-categorized questions were still very limited. In fact, one school did not have HOTS-categorized questions at all. The conclusions of this study emphasize the need to improve teacher competency in developing assessment instruments, particularly in distributing cognitive levels proportionally and integrating stimuli that effectively demand students' critical and creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Problem posing is a task that can be used to describe students' creative thinking abilities in generating various mathematical ideas. Since each student possesses distinct cognitive characteristics, creative thinking ability in problem posing needs to be examined in relation to their cognitive styles. This study aimed to describe junior high school students' creative thinking skills in posing mathematical problems on the topic of Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV) in terms of Field Dependent and Field Independent cognitive styles. This study employed a qualitative approach involving two eighth-grade students selected based on the results of the Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT), consisting of one student with a Field Dependent cognitive style and one student with a Field Independent cognitive style, both having high and equivalent mathematical ability. Data were collected through a SPLDV problem-posing task and interviews and were analyzed based on the creative thinking indicators proposed by Silver, namely fluency, flexibility, and novelty. The results showed that the student with a Field Dependent cognitive style only fulfilled the fluency indicator, whereas the student with a Field Independent cognitive style fulfilled all three creative thinking indicators. Based on the level of creative thinking, the Field Dependent student was categorized at Level 1 (less creative), while the Field Independent student was categorized at Level 4 (very creative). The findings indicate differences in creative thinking skills between students with Field Dependent and Field Independent cognitive styles in mathematical problem posing.
