Abstract

Parents of children with intellectual disabilities encounter various psychological, social, and economic challenges throughout the parenting process. These challenges often lead to emotional stress, concerns regarding their children's future, and increased caregiving demands. Therefore, resilience plays a significant role in enabling parents to adapt positively to these circumstances. This study aimed to describe the resilience of parents who have children with intellectual disabilities at SLB Bina Siwi Bantul. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving five parents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using participant observation, structured interviews, and documentation. The credibility of the data was ensured through source and technique triangulation, while the analysis followed the Miles and Huberman interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that parental resilience is reflected through self-acceptance, emotional regulation, optimism, self-efficacy, social support, impulse control, and the ability to analyze the causes of problems. Parents gradually accepted their children's conditions, managed emotional challenges, maintained positive expectations for their children's future, sought appropriate interventions, and received support from family, schools, and surrounding communities. These findings suggest that resilience develops through continuous adaptation supported by internal strengths and external social resources, enabling parents to provide positive parenting and support their children's optimal development.

Abstract

The ability to read simple sentences is a basic competency that must be mastered by 2nd-grade elementary school students as the foundation of academic literacy. Initial conditions at SD Negeri Tanjungrejo 1 showed that out of 29 students, only 15 (52%) achieved the minimum passing score (KKM) of 70, with a class average of 62.4. The causes were the use of conventional teaching methods, non-varied learning media, and students' limited vocabulary. This study aims to improve students' ability to read simple sentences through word card media. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) design following Arikunto's model was implemented in two cycles (two meetings each) in the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, with 29 second-grade students as subjects. Data were collected through observation, oral reading tests, and field notes, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative-quantitative methods. Results showed that classical completeness increased from 52% (pre-cycle) to 72% (Cycle I) and 83% (Cycle II), exceeding the success indicator of ≥80%. Teacher activity scores improved from 75 (Cycle I) to 85 (Cycle II). Thus, word card media proved effective in improving simple sentence reading ability among 2nd-grade students at SD Negeri Tanjungrejo 1. Keywords: Word Card, Reading Ability, Simple Sentences, Classroom Action Research, 2nd Grade ABSTRAK Kemampuan membaca kalimat sederhana merupakan kompetensi dasar yang wajib dikuasai siswa kelas 2 SD sebagai fondasi literasi akademik. Nilai aktivitas guru meningkat dari 75 (siklus I) menjadi 85 (siklus II). Abstract

The rapid growth of financial technology has encouraged the widespread adoption of Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services, particularly among Generation Z. The convenience, flexibility, and accessibility of Paylater have increased users' purchasing intentions, but they have also raised concerns regarding excessive consumption and financial risk. This study aims to analyze the influence of attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and Islamic consumption behavior on the intention to use Paylater among Generation Z in Surabaya. This research employed a quantitative approach using a causal associative design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 200 Generation Z respondents in Surabaya and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics. The results indicate that attitude and subjective norms have a positive and significant influence on the intention to use Paylater, while perceived behavioral control and Islamic consumption behavior do not significantly influence users' intention. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.577 indicates that the independent variables explain 57.7% of the variation in the intention to use Paylater, whereas the remaining 42.3% is explained by other variables outside the model. These findings suggest that Generation Z's intention to use Paylater is primarily shaped by positive perceptions of the service and social influences rather than by self-control or Islamic consumption values. The study contributes to the development of consumer behavior literature by integrating the Theory of Planned Behavior with Islamic consumption behavior in the context of digital financial services.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of students' mathematics learning outcomes and self-confidence, indicating the need for an innovative instructional approach that enhances both cognitive and affective aspects of learning. One alternative is the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model, which emphasizes students' active engagement through authentic projects to solve real-world problems and produce tangible products. This study aimed to: (1) examine the effect of the Project-Based Learning model on students' mathematics learning outcomes; (2) analyze the effect of self-confidence on students' mathematics learning outcomes; and (3) investigate the interaction between the Project-Based Learning model and self-confidence on the mathematics learning outcomes of sixth-grade students at SDN 071020 Awa’ai in the topic of cubes and rectangular prisms. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a 2 × 2 factorial design. Data were analyzed using a Two-Way Analysis of Variance (Two-Way ANOVA) with unequal cell sizes after satisfying the assumptions of normality and homogeneity. The findings revealed that: (1) the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model had a significant positive effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes, with students taught using PjBL achieving better results than those taught using the conventional learning model; (2) self-confidence had a significant effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes; and (3) there was a significant interaction between the learning model and self-confidence in influencing students' mathematics learning outcomes. These findings indicate that the implementation of the Project-Based Learning model, supported by students' self-confidence, is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes.
