Abstract

This research is motivated by the urgency of discipline as a key element in character development for students in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). Despite various regulations being implemented, disciplinary violations still occur, necessitating the active involvement of student organizations as partners in the development and supervision process. In this regard, the Student Organization of Asshiddiqiyyah Islamic Boarding School (OSPA) plays a crucial role in improving student discipline through various ongoing programs and activities. This study aims to determine the role of OSPA in fostering student discipline, describe the forms of OSPA's involvement in improving student discipline, and analyze the results of OSPA's involvement at Asshiddiqiyyah 3 Putra Karawang Islamic Boarding School. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results indicate that OSPA functions as a driving force, supervisor, and role model in fostering student discipline. OSPA's involvement is realized through monitoring daily activities, implementing regulations, issuing warnings and educational sanctions, and fostering the habit of religious and learning activities. This involvement has a positive impact on increasing students' compliance with Islamic boarding school regulations, punctuality in participating in activities, and growing students' awareness and responsibility in carrying out daily obligations. Thus, OSPA plays a crucial role in creating an orderly, disciplined, and conducive Islamic boarding school environment for the development of students' characters.

Abstract

The issue addressed in this study is the low level of gross motor skills among sixth-grade students with physical disabilities at SLB YPAC Makassar, attributed to suboptimal adaptive physical education instruction. The study aims to: (1) assess the gross motor skills of students with physical disabilities at SLB YPAC Makassar prior to the implementation of futsal dribbling techniques; (2) assess their gross motor skills following the implementation of these techniques; and (3) determine the improvement in gross motor skills resulting from the implementation of futsal dribbling techniques.This study employs a quantitative approach, specifically descriptive quantitative research. Data collection involved performance-based tests administered before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the intervention. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques, involving the compilation of test results, score conversion based on assessment criteria, and a comparison of pre-test and post-test results to illustrate the improvement in the subjects' gross motor skills. The results indicate that, prior to the intervention, the subjects' gross motor skills fell into the "poor" category. Following instruction that incorporated futsal dribbling techniques, the subjects' gross motor skills improved to the "excellent" category. Based on these findings, it is concluded that the implementation of futsal dribbling techniques effectively improves gross motor skills among students with physical disabilities at SLB YPAC Makassar.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Group Investigation (GI) learning model based on the Local Based Curriculum approach in Geography learning at SMAN 1 Pariaman, and to examine its effect on students' critical thinking ability. A quantitative approach was used with a quasi-experimental method and a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of class XI F6 as the experimental group and class XI F7 as the control group, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, the Independent Sample t-Test, and N-Gain calculation. The results show that the GI model based on the Local Based Curriculum was implemented in accordance with its syntax, namely identifying topics and forming groups, planning the investigation, carrying out the investigation, preparing and presenting the report, and conducting evaluation and reflection. The model also had a significant effect on students' critical thinking ability, as shown by the average N-Gain score of the experimental class (0.7121, high category) which was higher than that of the control class (0.5121, moderate category). The Independent Sample t-Test result showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is one of the essential competencies that needs to be developed in elementary school students to support critical thinking skills, problem solving, and decision making based on scientific evidence. However, teacher-centered learning processes have caused students’ involvement in science learning to remain suboptimal, so their scientific literacy still needs to be improved. This study aimed to improve the scientific literacy of fifth-grade students at MI Nurul Ittihad, Jambi City, through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research was conducted in two cycles with 19 fifth-grade students of MI Nurul Ittihad, Jambi City, as the subjects. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation, while the data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the implementation of the Project Based Learning model was able to improve the quality of the learning process and students’ scientific literacy skills. Teacher activity increased from 69.12% in Cycle I to 96.32% in Cycle II. Students’ scientific literacy improved from 66.18% to 88.24%. The average learning outcome score also increased from 71.84 in the pre-cycle stage to 78.16 in Cycle I and 82.11 in Cycle II. The classical learning mastery percentage increased from 63.16% to 94.74%, indicating that the research success indicators had been achieved. Therefore, the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model was proven effective in improving students’ scientific literacy in science learning in grade V of MI Nurul Ittihad, Jambi City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model inquiry lesson pada materi kesetimbangan kimia dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI 1 hingga XI 5 SMA Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026. Pengambilan sampel penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas XI 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi-experimental dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent pre-test and post-test control group. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-gain keterampilan proses sains peserta didik di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi berbeda secara signifikan dengan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-gain di kelas eksperimen berkategori tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model inquiry lesson pada materi kesetimbangan kimia efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low achievement of students in science subjects, with 19 students (65.5%) not reaching the minimum passing criteria. This issue stemmed from monotonous learning activities and a teacher-centered approach using conventional lecture methods, resulting in low student motivation. To address this problem, a cooperative learning model—Index Card Match—was implemented, which places students at the center of the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement in students’ learning motivation and achievement in science for fourth-grade students at SDN 2 Kedokanagung, Kedokanbunder District, Indramayu Regency. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) carried out in two cycles using the Kemmis and McTaggart design, which includes four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 29 fourth-grade students. The results showed an increase in learning motivation from the first cycle to the second. In the first cycle, the percentage of learning motivation reached 65.10% (categorized as high), and increased to 82.83% (categorized as very high) in the second cycle. Student learning outcomes also improved, with 13 students (45%) achieving mastery in the first cycle, and 25 students (86%) achieving mastery in the second cycle. Thus, the Index Card Match cooperative learning model proved effective in enhancing both learning motivation and achievement in science among fourth-grade students at SDN 2 Kedokanagung.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a cooperative learning-based narrative writing module for fourth-grade elementary school students and to test the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of its use. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Research data were obtained through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and narrative writing ability tests. Data analysis was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods to determine the feasibility of the developed product. The results showed that the developed module achieved a validity level of 94.83%, falling into the “highly valid” category. Teacher feedback on the module’s use was 93.33%, while student feedback was 88.20%, both falling into the “highly practical” category. The use of the module also demonstrated an improvement in students’ narrative writing skills, with the average score increasing from 67.40 on the pretest to 84.63 on the posttest, and an N-Gain value of 0.53, classified as “moderate.” This study shows that a cooperative learning-based narrative text writing module can serve as an innovative teaching resource that integrates content, the writing process, and collaborative interaction to support writing literacy learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in the Society 5.0 era requires assessment instruments capable of accurately measuring students’ digital literacy within authentic physics learning contexts. Digital literacy has become an essential competency for accessing, evaluating, creating, and communicating information through digital technologies while solving scientific problems. However, instruments specifically designed to assess digital literacy in physics learning remain limited. This study aimed to develop and validate a digital literacy assessment instrument for senior high school students studying kinematics. A Research and Development (R&D) approach adapted from the Borg and Gall model was employed. Instrument development was guided by the DigComp 2.1 framework, encompassing five dimensions: information and data literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation, digital safety, and problem solving. Data were collected through needs analysis, expert validation, pilot testing, and large-scale field testing involving senior high school students. Instrument quality was evaluated using Aiken’s V for content validity, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) for construct validity, Cronbach’s alpha for internal consistency, and the Rasch model for item fit, person reliability, item reliability, and Differential Item Functioning (DIF). The findings demonstrated high content and construct validity, excellent reliability, satisfactory model fit, and no significant bias across gender or school origin. Teachers and students also perceived the instrument as practical, clear, and easy to administer. Overall, the developed instrument is a valid, reliable, and practical tool for assessing students’ digital literacy in physics learning and supports technology integrated assessment practices in senior high school science education.

Abstract

This study is based on the results of students' math learning in grade V SDN 24 Selayo. This is due to the fact that learning is still primarily focused on the instructor, the use of concrete media is not being utilized to its full potential, and students' comprehension of the concept is lacking. The purpose of this study is to describe the increase in learning outcomes on data collection materials using Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) with concrete media support in class V SDN 24 Selayo. Classroom Action Research (CAR) with both qualitative and quantitative methods is the type of research that is used. This study is conducted in two stages using a methodology that includes the phases of perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, and reflection. Data collection techniques are carried out using tes and nontes. This study's subject is the teacher and students in class V SDN 24 Selayo, which has a total of 17 students. The study's findings indicate that: first, Deep Learning Lesson Plan (RPM) increased from 85,71% (B) in siklus I to 96,42% (A) in siklus II. Second, the percentage of guru-related learning activities increased from 78.57% (C) to 82.14% (C). Finally, the percentage of students who completed their education increased from 75% (C) to 78.57% (C). Rata-rata, students' learning outcomes increased from 86.37% (B) in siklus I to 88.76% (B) in siklus II. Accordingly, it can be inferred that the implementation of RME using concrete media can enhance learning outcomes in data analysis materials in grade V SDN 24 Selayo.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model and to analyze students’ 4C skills, namely Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication, and Collaboration, on the topic of the Human Reproductive System in Grade IX of SMP Negeri 1 Sengah Temila. This research employed a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The participants were 30 students of class IX E. Data were collected through observation, critical thinking tests, and interviews. The data were analyzed descriptively using percentages and supported by interview analysis using NVivo 15. The results showed that Critical Thinking and Creativity skills each obtained a percentage of 87.5%, while Communication and Collaboration skills each reached 93.75%, all categorized as very good. The critical thinking test yielded an average score of 65.17, with 13.33% of students in the very good category, 46.67% good, 30% fair, and 10% poor. Interview findings indicated that the CPS model supported the development of 4C skills, improved students’ understanding of the material, and increased their engagement in learning activities. Therefore, the Creative Problem Solving model can support the development of students’ 4C skills.
