Abstract

Bahasa Inggris memiliki peran esensial pada era globalisasi sebagai salah satu kompetensi untuk mengembangkan kepercayaan diri sehingga mampu bersaing di dunia internasional. Mengenalkan kosa kata bahasa Inggris memberikan dampak positif bagi anak usia dini, karena itu diperlukan strategi yang tepat agar kemampuan bahasa Inggris anak usia dini berkembang lebih optimal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah sistematik review. Database elektronik yang digunakan adalah Google Scholar. Pencarian awal didapatkan 15 artikel jurnal kemudian dipilih berdasarkan kriteria eksklusif sehingga didapatkan tujuh artikel jurnal yang diidentifikasi menggunakan teknik. Hasil sistematik review yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa dalam pengenalan kosa kata bahasa Inggris kepada anak usia dini, komunikasi haruslah berjalan baik antara orang tua dengan anak sehingga perkembangan bahasa anak dapat tercapai sesuai pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya. Peranan orang tua juga penting dalam proses pengenalan kosa kata bahasa Inggris di rumah meskipun dalam waktu yang singkat agar kemampuan bahasa Inggris anak semakin berkembang.

Abstract

Fishermen are a profession that cannot be relied upon as the sole source of livelihood due to its heavy dependence on natural conditions. Therefore, people working as fishermen are encouraged to seek side professions, such as processing seafood catch into ready-to-eat products. This has led to the formation of IKM (Small and Medium Industries) groups to optimize the potential available. This study aims to examine the effect of training on the productivity of IKM in Koto XI Tarusan District, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The training provided is expected to enhance the skills and knowledge of the community regarding seafood processing, enabling them to innovate creatively and produce high-quality processed products. The sample for this study consisted of 45 fishery IKM actors who have participated in training in Koto XI Tarusan District, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The research method used is a quantitative approach, with data collection through a questionnaire. The results of the study indicate that the training has a significant and positive effect on the productivity of IKM actors in Koto XI Tarusan District, Pesisir Selatan Regency.

Abstract

Reflective Thinking Skills are important for students to have. However, in reality, learning of Social Sciences on Digestive Organs Material has not implemented Reflective Thinking skills because it is still constrained in reading and reasoning is still lacking, especially if students are faced with problems related to thinking skills. In this learning, the lecture and question and answer methods are still used so that the learning process is still centered on the teacher and students are less active. This study aims to determine how the influence of the PBL Model Using Pop Up Book media on students' Reflective Thinking skills on the material of human digestive organs of grade V students and How the Response of Students' Reflective Thinking skills after the implementation of learning. This study uses a Quantitative Descriptive research method implemented at SDN SEDATI GEDE II Sidoarjo. The data collection instruments used in this study were Pretest-Postest and Student Reflective Thinking Response Questionnaire, The results showed an average N-Gain in experimental class 1 (V-A) of 0.82 with a high category. And in experimental class 2 (V-B) an N-Gain value of 0.72 was obtained with a high category. The difference is caused by the level of student understanding, as well as student readiness in capturing learning. While the results of the Reflective Thinking Response of experimental class 1 (V-A) were 76% and class (V-B) were 67%. The conclusion of this study shows that there is an influence of Reflective Thinking using the PBL learning model. It is hoped that students will get used to solving the problems they face. This is supported by the results of the Pre-post test and the results of the Reflective Thinking Response. Thus, learning becomes more active and interesting for students.

Abstract

The research was motivated by students who lacked the character of global diversity. Learning media in schools becomes an obstacle for teachers in implementing the character of global diversity. The research aims to improve the global diversity character of students with picture story books in pancasila education learning. The research used is development research using the ADDIE model. The feasibility test was carried out by three validation experts, material experts obtained a percentage of 95%, language experts obtained a percentage of 91%, media experts obtained a percentage of 96%. Media can be said to be feasible. The effectiveness of the media can also be seen from the increase in character before and after the media is given with an N-Gain score of 0,74 in the high category. It can be concluded that picture story books can improve the global diversity of students’ characters.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and profitability on tax avoidance within Indonesian banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Tax avoidance is a common strategy for reducing tax liabilities, yet it poses reputational risks and ethical concerns, particularly for companies with high CSR commitments. Companies engaged in CSR activities are generally perceived to uphold social responsibility, which is expected to discourage aggressive tax avoidance practices to maintain public trust. Conversely, companies with high profitability have greater resources and incentives to engage in tax planning strategies to maximize net profit. Using a quantitative approach with secondary data from financial reports and CSR disclosures, this study applies multiple regression analysis to determine the influence of CSR and profitability on tax avoidance. The results indicate that CSR negatively impacts tax avoidance, suggesting that companies with strong CSR commitments tend to avoid aggressive tax planning to align with their ethical responsibilities. On the other hand, profitability has a positive relationship with tax avoidance, as more profitable companies are more likely to engage in tax reduction strategies. These findings contribute to understanding the ethical dimensions of tax avoidance and provide insights into how CSR can be an effective mechanism for enhancing corporate tax compliance.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile strengthening project in developing students' intrapersonal intelligence in elementary schools. The development process of intrapersonal intelligence is an important and fundamental capability as a reinforcement of students' character education. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach at SD Negeri 167/I Bulian Baru during the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The research subjects were the principal, teachers, and students. Research data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews (as primary data), observation, and documentation study (as supporting data). The collected data was then analyzed and validated using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results showed that the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile strengthening project at SD Negeri 167/I Bulian Baru was able to develop students' intrapersonal intelligence comprehensively through four stages: introduction, contextualization, real action, and reflection and follow-up, impacting the development of students' intrapersonal intelligence including the ability to understand oneself, manage emotions, self-reflect, make decisions, and adapt during the P5 program. The development process of students' intrapersonal intelligence was evident through various achievement indicators including increased self-awareness in environmental care, ability to manage emotions when working in groups, ability to reflect on behavioral impacts on the environment, responsible decision-making in waste management, and ability to adapt to changing habits towards sustainable lifestyles. From the research results, it can be concluded that the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) contributes to the formation of environmental care character and significantly supports the development of intrapersonal intelligence aspects that are important for students' holistic development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on Mind Mapping on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 068007 Simalingkar in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study uses a quantitative method with an experimental design, involving pretests and posttests to measure the improvement in students' critical thinking skills after the implementation of the learning model. The pretest results showed an average score of 60, which falls into the poor category, with the lowest score being 48 and the highest being 76. After the implementation of the Mind Mapping-based PBL model, the posttest results showed a significant improvement, with an average score reaching 88.2 in the very good category and a highest score of 100. The correlation test showed a figure of 0.878, indicating a very strong relationship between the Mind Mapping-based PBL model and students' critical thinking skills. The t-test results in a t-value of 9.702, which is greater than the table value of 2.048, meaning the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning model based on Mind Mapping has a significant effect on the improvement of students' critical thinking skills. This research provides recommendations to teachers to develop skills in using various learning models, as well as to pay attention to students' learning difficulties in order to provide appropriate guidance. Future researchers are expected to develop this study to further enhance the quality of learning.

Abstract

The best example for mankind is the Prophet Muhammad, as a prophet of the last days as well as a role model for his people, all the words and actions taken are examples. The Prophet Muhammad has set an example in all aspects of his life, including in terms of treating early childhood. The research aims to describe the form of physical touch that the Prophet Muhammad PBUH does to young children and examine the benefits of physical touch on aspects of early childhood development. The type of research used is library research. Data collection uses documentation techniques from books and journals, then processed with the data reduction stage, namely searching for data relevant to the research theme, data presentation, namely presenting data that has been collected, and data verification, namely selecting data that is in accordance with the focus of the research. The results of the study stated that the forms of physical touch carried out by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH included kissing, carrying, hugging, stroking and playing together. Aspects of early childhood development that can be stimulated by physical touch include social-emotional, cognitive, physical, motor, social, emotional regulation and the formation of family bonds

Abstract

This research aims to 1) Describe the problemsolving difficulties of solving story problems in terms of Polya's theory on the operation material of small numbers of grade V students. 2) Knowing the factors that cause problem solving difficulties in solving story problems in terms of Polya's theory on the material for the operation of whole numbers of grade V students. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation, and data logging cards. The research instruments used data recording cards, observations and interviews. Data analysis uses data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The results of descriptive analysis showed that students with difficulties in addition and division arithmetic operations according to Polya's theory had difficulty understanding the problem, making plans, implementing plans and re-examining answers. Students with difficulties in multiplication and subtraction arithmetic operations according to Polya's theory, have difficulty implementing the plan, students have not fulfilled one of the conditions for understanding the problem, and re-examining the answer. The factors that cause students' problemsolving difficulties in solving story problems on the material for counting operations of numerical numbers are, internal factors, learning attitudes and motivation to learn Mathematics. External factors, the teacher's ability to use media, classroom atmosphere, parental or family assistance, and community environment.

Abstract

This study aims to improve social studies learning outcomes through the problem based learning model for class VIII students of SMPII Luqman Al-Hakim Batam in the academic year 2024-2025. The subjects of this classroom action research were 38 class VIII students of SMP SMPII Luqman Al-Hakim Batam as the subjects receiving the action, while the subjects doing the action were the class VIII B social studies teacher as the teacher, colleagues as the subjects who observed the learning process, and the Principal as the subject of the data source. The data collection method was carried out through test, observation and documentation techniques. This action research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of: planning, action, observation and reflection. The results of this study indicate that the use of the problem based learning model can improve social studies learning outcomes for class VIII students of SMP SMPII Luqman Al-Hakim Batam in the academic year 2024-2025. This can be seen from the average value of students' social studies learning outcomes also increased, namely before the action of 70.88 in cycle I of 74.80 and in cycle II of 85.37. In addition, the percentage of student learning completion, namely before the action of 34.28%, in cycle I of 74.80% and in cycle II of 94.28%.
