Abstract

The findings indicate that the implementation of practical worship guidance is integrated into AIK learning through classroom instruction, worship demonstrations, daily habituation, and practical assessments. Learning emphasizes not only cognitive achievement but also the development of students' attitudes and practical worship skills based on Muhammadiyah Tarjih decisions. Supporting factors include competent AIK teachers, principal leadership, adequate worship facilities, and an Islamic school culture. Inhibiting factors include students' diverse religious backgrounds, limited instructional time, and insufficient parental reinforcement at home. This study contributes to strengthening AIK learning as a medium for internalizing Muhammadiyah worship values and developing students' religious competence.

Abstract

Sexual violence in Indonesian higher education institutions has become a systemic and recurring crisis, with victims frequently silenced by power asymmetry, bystander effect, and the tonic immobility phenomenon that is often misread as consent. Existing prevention efforts remain largely passive (one-way legal socialization) and rarely train students' ethical decision-making under realistic dilemmas. This study developed and evaluated ELECTORAL, a phygital (physical-digital) board game based on social deduction mechanics, designed to train moral courage and ethical decision patterns among Generation Z university students regarding sexual violence prevention. A QUAL-dominant embedded mixed-methods design was employed, in which data from two focus group discussions (FGD) involving eight students across four universities (USU, Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, and Universitas Sebelas Maret) served as the core dataset, supplemented by quantitative one-group pretest-posttest data (N=37) and expert triangulation with a university Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force (Satgas PPKPT) officer and a family and consumer science lecturer. Thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke, 2006) identified five major themes, most prominently that ELECTORAL mirrors real institutional power dynamics and increases self-reflective institutional awareness among student leaders. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed no statistically significant pretest-posttest difference (Z=-1.387, p=0.166) and a low N-Gain (0.15), which qualitative findings help explain through a ceiling effect among participants with prior leadership or advocacy exposure. Expert triangulation confirmed the ecological validity of the game's scenarios while highlighting the necessity of trained facilitators to mitigate psychological risk. These findings suggest ELECTORAL produces meaningful qualitative shifts in institutional awareness that are not fully captured by short-term quantitative measures.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of TikTok social media use on the formation of noble character (akhlakul karimah) among students of Islamic Religious Education. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a library research method. Data were collected from books, scientific journals, previous research findings, and relevant Islamic sources discussing social media, TikTok, and moral education. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, thematic classification, interpretation, and synthesis to explain the relationship between TikTok usage intensity, content characteristics, and students' moral development. The findings indicate that the frequency, duration, and interaction patterns in using TikTok significantly influence students' attitudes and behavior. Excessive exposure to entertainment and lifestyle content may weaken social ethics, communication manners, and appearance-related values, whereas educational and religious content contributes positively to strengthening noble character when consumed critically and selectively. The study concludes that the impact of TikTok depends on users' digital literacy, self-awareness, application of the principle of tabayyun, and guidance from lecturers and families. Therefore, TikTok should be utilized not only as an entertainment platform but also as a medium for Islamic education and character development in the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has accelerated transformation in the education sector, particularly through the implementation of e-learning as an instructional innovation. This study aims to analyze the differences in the diffusion patterns of e-learning innovation between urban and rural schools. Using a quantitative comparative approach, the research involved 43 respondents selected through purposive sampling from schools that have implemented e-learning systems. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire developed based on Diffusion of Innovations theory, covering five indicators: relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, Independent Sample t-test, and effect size calculation (Cohen's d). The results indicate that both groups met the assumptions of normality and homogeneity. The Independent Sample t-test revealed a significant difference in diffusion patterns between urban and rural schools (t(41) = 18.353; p < 0.05). The mean difference of 18,561 shows that diffusion patterns in urban schools are significantly higher than in rural schools. The calculated effect size (d = 2.87) falls into the very large category, indicating a strong practical significance of the difference. These findings suggest that infrastructure availability, access to technology, social communication networks, and exposure to innovation significantly influence the diffusion process. The study contributes to the understanding of digital divide issues and enriches the theoretical application of innovation diffusion in educational technology contexts across different geographical settings.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of disruptive behavior in students and the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in handling it in fifth grade at Maccini Sombala Elementary School. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the principal, PAI teachers, homeroom teachers, curriculum staff, and students. Data analysis was conducted through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing according to Miles & Huberman, while data validity was tested using source and technique triangulation. The results revealed three forms of disruptive behavior: verbal (inappropriate language, talking while the teacher is explaining), non-verbal (taunting, physical conflict, walking around the classroom), and passive (silent but unfocused behavior, pretending to write, playing with stationery). The main contributing factors were low student enthusiasm and family influence. The PAI teacher’s strategies included role modelling, personal approaches, differentiated learning methods, and the use of mild punishment.

Abstract

This study examines the religious values embedded in the Kalindaqdaq oral literature of the Mandar ethnic group and their relevance to the Akidah Akhlak (Faith and Morals) subject matter at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Majene. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through field research, data were collected via observation, interviews with cultural practitioners and Akidah Akhlak teachers, and documentation of Kalindaqdaq texts, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that Kalindaqdaq is the cultural foundation of Mandar literary and artistic forms, characterized by a fixed four-line structure with an 8-7-5-7 syllabic pattern preserved across generations. The arrival of Islam enriched rather than replaced its identity, infusing it with strong religious content, including tawhid (rububiyah), noble character formation, and spiritual awareness conveyed through figurative language. These values are relevant to the Akidah Akhlak curriculum for Grades X, XI, and XII, particularly regarding self-control, simplicity, justice, filial piety, courteous social conduct, optimism, and the strengthening of tawhid, indicating that Kalindaqdaq has strong potential as a contextual learning resource that engages students' affective understanding of Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) needs to be designed actively so that students not only understand the material but are also interested, engaged, and able to connect Islamic values with their lives. This article aims to analyze Inquiry Learning-based PAI learning strategies in increasing students' learning interest. The study uses a library research method with a qualitative-descriptive approach. Data were obtained from journal articles and scientific documents discussing PAI learning, Inquiry Learning, and learning interest. The results show that Inquiry Learning has the potential to increase learning interest through the provision of contextual stimuli, formulation of questions, information searching, discussion, testing of understanding, drawing conclusions, and reflection. Its effectiveness is influenced by teacher readiness, quality of teaching materials, use of varied media, a communicative classroom atmosphere, and mentoring for students who are still passive. With systematic planning, Inquiry Learning can make PAI learning more meaningful, participatory, and oriented towards the formation of knowledge, attitudes, and the practice of Islamic values.

Abstract

Instilling character values in elementary school students is an important aspect in shaping their personality. Teachers have a strategic role in integrating character education through the learning process, role models, habituation, and behavioral development in the school environment. This study aims to analyze the influence of teachers' roles on instilling character values in elementary school students through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The study was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines using the PICOS framework in the article selection process. A literature search was conducted on Google Scholar, Scopus, ERIC, ScienceDirect, and Crossref databases for articles published in the 2020–2026 period. From the selection process, 40 articles that met the inclusion criteria were obtained and analyzed using descriptive quantitative synthesis techniques. The results of the study indicate that teachers play a significant role as role models, mentors, motivators, facilitators, and evaluators in instilling character values in students. The character values that are most often developed include discipline, responsibility, honesty, religiosity, cooperation, caring, and independence. The successful implementation of character education is influenced by teacher role models, school culture, parental support, and the integration of character values into learning. While limited teacher competency, low family involvement, and the influence of digital media are key inhibiting factors. This study confirms that synergy between teachers, schools, families, and the community is a crucial factor in optimizing character education in elementary schools.
