Abstract

Mathematics learning outcomes for Grade 3 students at SD Negeri 1 Sri Mulya Jaya remain low due to several factors, primarily the fact that teachers have not yet implemented learning models that actively engage students. The learning process remains teacher-centered, with the teacher dominating activities through the delivery of material and practice exercises. Consequently, teachers are required to implement more innovative, student-centered learning approaches. One such approach is the implementation of the "Make a Match" cooperative learning model. This study aims to improve Grade III student learning outcomes in mathematics at SD Negeri 1 Sri Mulya Jaya. The study employs the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted over two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 20 Grade 3 students at SD Negeri 1 Sri Mulya Jaya. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and learning outcome tests. Data analysis utilized a mixed-methods approach. The research results indicate that implementing the "Make a Match" cooperative learning model can improve Grade 3 students' mathematics learning outcomes at SD Negeri 1 Sri Mulya Jaya. Initial data from daily tests showed a mastery rate of 45% (9 students); this increased to 60% (12 students) in Cycle 1. In Cycle 2, there was a significant increase to 85% (17 students). The increase in mastery from Cycle 1 to Cycle 2 was 25%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the "Make a Match" cooperative learning model is capable of improving student learning outcomes in mathematics at SD Negeri 1 Sri Mulya Jaya. Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of learning motivation, parental support, and school facilities and infrastructure on Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning among students of SD Negeri 01 Linggoasri in 2026. This research employed a quantitative approach using an ex post facto survey design. The population consisted of 96 students in grades IV, V, and VI, and all participants were selected using the total sampling technique. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics. Before hypothesis testing, the data satisfied the assumptions of normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. The findings revealed that learning motivation, parental support, and school facilities simultaneously had a significant effect on PJOK learning (F = 3.878; p = 0.012). However, partially, learning motivation (p = 0.530) and parental support (p = 0.225) did not significantly affect PJOK learning, whereas school facilities and infrastructure had a positive and significant effect (t = 2.594; p = 0.011). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.112) indicated that the independent variables explained 11.2% of the variance in PJOK learning, while 88.8% was influenced by other factors outside the model. These findings highlight the importance of improving school facilities to enhance effective PJOK learning outcomes in elementary schools

Abstract

Analysis of the Effectiveness and Accuracy of Spike Attacks by Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi Players in the 2026 Proliga Grand Final. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness and accuracy of spike attacks performed by Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi players during the 2026 Proliga Grand Final. The study employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive research method. Data were collected through observation and video analysis of the 2026 Proliga Grand Final using a notational analysis technique. The variables analyzed included Attack Point (Kill), Attack Dig/Opponent Defense, Attack Blocked, and Attack Error. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of frequencies and percentages to describe the effectiveness and accuracy of spike attacks. The findings revealed that out of a total of 1,384 attack attempts, there were 603 Attack Points (Kills) (43.57%), 640 Attack Dig/Opponent Defense (46.24%), 80 Attack Blocked (5.78%), and 61 Attack Errors (4.41%). In Game 1, the team performed 668 attack attempts, while in Game 2 the number increased to 716 attempts. Although the number of Attack Points (Kills) increased from 294 to 309, the Attack Dig/Opponent Defense category remained dominant, indicating that most attacks were successfully anticipated by the opponent's defense. Meanwhile, the relatively low percentages of Attack Error and Attack Blocked indicate that the players demonstrated good attack accuracy. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the effectiveness and accuracy of spike attacks performed by Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi players during the 2026 Proliga Grand Final were classified as good. Nevertheless, improvements in attack direction variation, ball placement accuracy, and the ability to read the opponent's defensive system are still required to increase the number of Attack Points (Kills) and reduce the opponent's opportunities to successfully defend attacks (Attack Dig/Opponent Defense).

Abstract

This study aims to increase students’ learning motivation in Biology for Grade X of senior high school. The problem identified by the researcher is that students often feel bored and lack enthusiasm during the learning process, which leads to a decrease in their learning motivation. One way to improve this learning motivation is by developing an interactive flipbook based on PBL on ecosystem material that is valid, effective, and practical. The interactive flipbook is able to create a more engaging learning experience, so that students become more enthusiastic, motivated, and active during learning. This research uses the 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate) and was tested on a limited scale involving 33 Grade X students at SMAN 17 Surabaya. Validity was measured based on validation results from two Biology expert lecturers, with an overall average percentage score of 97.58% (very valid). Effectiveness was measured based on the results of implementation observations and students’ learning motivation assessed by two observers during learning, obtaining an overall average percentage score of 98% (very strong). The students’ learning motivation questionnaire administered at the end of learning obtained an overall average percentage score of 99.36% (very strong). This was further supported by an analysis of the improvement in classical learning mastery results between the pretest, which obtained an average percentage score of 12.12% (not effective), and the posttest, which obtained an average percentage score of 100% (very effective). Practicality was measured based on the results of the student response questionnaire administered at the end of learning, obtaining an overall average percentage score of 99.40% (very practical). In conclusion, the developed interactive flipbook is considered highly valid, effective, and practical for increasing the learning motivation of Grade X senior high school students.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is the lack of speed in the crescent kicks of athletes from the Empat Banding Budi Tunggul Hitam school, which results in low athletic performance and slow kicking speeds. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of reaction speed training on crescent kick speed among these athletes. The study employed a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population consisted of 68 athletes (35 male and 33 female). Purposive sampling was used to select a sample of 20 male and female athletes. The research instrument used was a crescent kick speed test. Data analysis techniques included prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity tests) and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that reaction speed training influenced crescent kick speed among the athletes. The sample achieved an average score of 20.05 on the pre-test and 26.85 on the post-test; this increase in the mean score by 6.8 demonstrates the effectiveness of the intervention. This finding is statistically significant, as the t-test yielded a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000. According to t-test decision criteria, if the significance value is less than 0.05, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Since 0.000 < 0.05, it is concluded that there is a statistically highly significant difference between the average pre-test and post-test scores. Therefore, the study concludes that the implemented reaction speed training can improve the crescent kick speed of athletes at the Empat Banding Budi Tunggul Hitam school in Padang City.

Abstract

Statistics word problems require students to understand the context of the problem, translate the information into a mathematical model, and solve it using statistical concepts. However, students are still found to make errors in the problem-solving process. This study aims to describe the types of errors students make when solving statistical word problems based on Newman’s analysis, the types of scaffolding provided, and the types of errors that still occur after scaffolding is provided. This study employs a qualitative approach and a descriptive research design, with three 10th-grade high school students selected as subjects based on the results of a pre-test, using the criterion of having the greatest variety of error types. Data were collected through statistical word problem tests and interviews using test instruments and interview guidelines. Data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, while error identification referred to Newman’s analysis indicators. The results showed that students made five types of Newman errors: reading errors, comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skill errors, and errors in writing the final answer. The scaffolding provided included reviewing, explaining, and restructuring, tailored to the types of errors made by the students. After scaffolding was provided, some recurring errors were still found, although improvements were observed in the problem-solving process. Thus, scaffolding helps improve the process of solving statistical word problems but has not completely eliminated errors; therefore, continuous practice and reinforcement are necessary. Future research is recommended to develop test instruments with a consistent data presentation format, consider the timing of data collection so as not to disrupt students’ concentration, and provide students with the opportunity to restate their solutions and conclusions in their own words after receiving scaffolding to assess the level of understanding they have achieved
