Abstract

Technology is widely used by students in finding learning materials. Students can find materials through E-learning media. Online learning (e-learning) is a type of learning and teaching that allows educational materials to be provided to students using the internet or other computer networks. One of the sources of E-learning that is widely used by students is e-books. This study discusses the analysis of the use of e-books to improve the effectiveness of learning for students of the Indonesian language and literature study program. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of e-books in the student learning process and also to find out the responses of students of the Indonesian language and literature study program, as well as to find out the advantages and disadvantages of using e-books. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method combined with a descriptive method, as well as conducting interviews. The results of this study indicate that the use of e-books by students of the Indonesian language and literature study program is quite effective, because it helps students in the learning process, such as finding literature and references in making papers or scientific works and research. The use of e-books is said to be effective because it can be accessed anytime and anywhere so that it can facilitate the learning process, and the costs incurred are less than buying physical books.

Abstract

This study aims to describe efforts to enhance students’ learning motivation through the use of visual learning media in Social Studies (IPS) subjects for fourth-grade elementary school students. The background of this research is based on the low learning motivation observed from students’ lack of active participation and enthusiasm during the learning process. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and fourth-grade students at an elementary school. The results show that the use of visual media such as images, videos, and interactive maps can attract students’ attention, facilitate understanding of the material, and increase their engagement in learning activities. Thus, visual learning media are proven to be effective in improving students’ motivation in Social Studies learning. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for teachers in selecting appropriate learning strategies to create a more enjoyable and meaningful learning process. Abstract

The changes in time and advancements in technology have had a negative effect on the morals of teenagers, as shown by the increase in cases of violence, bad behavior, and weak self-control. The lack of character education is a major reason for the moral crisis among young people. This study aims to look into the importance of character development according to the writings of Ellen G. White and how it can be applied in daily life. The method used is a review of literature, especially the works of Ellen White, with a qualitative approach to understand the importance of Christian character. The results show that true character is built through a close relationship with God through prayer, studying the Bible, self-discipline, good habits, and following the example of Christ. Ellen White points out that character is not formed quickly, but through personal effort and God's grace. Character development also prepares us for eternal life and helps protect us in facing the challenges of the end times. In conclusion, character development according to Ellen White is very important in addressing the moral crisis among teenagers today. Education based on God's principles in His Word needs to be applied consistently so that young people can live with integrity, reflect God's character, and have a positive impact on society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of simple teaching aids as an effort to improve students’ understanding in mathematics learning. The background of the research is the low student comprehension of fraction material, which affects mathematics learning outcomes in fifth grade at SD Negeri 02 Bengkayang. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the use of simple teaching aids such as paper cutouts, pictures, and other concrete objects helps students better understand fraction concepts. It also enables teachers to transform abstract material into more concrete explanations. In conclusion, the implementation of simple teaching aids has proven effective in enhancing students’ understanding of mathematics material, particularly on fractions in grade V. Abstract

In the era of globalization, technological advances provide great opportunities to utilize audiovisual media as effective teaching materials. The YouTube channel "Riri Sekolah Anak Interactive," produced by Educa Studio, offers interactive animated content that combines entertainment with character education values. This research aims to identify the character education values contained in the channel's content and describe its role in supporting student character formation. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach using content analysis data collection techniques, in the form of observation and documentation. Checking the validity of this research data uses source triangulation. Data were analyzed through the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the religious character aspect has 6 points, honesty has 8 points, tolerance has 3 points, discipline has 5 points, working hard has 7 points, creativity has 2 points, independence has 4 points, democratic sense has 1 point, curiosity has 2 points, national spirit has 2 points. , love of the country 2 values, respect for achievements 3 values, communicative 5 values, love of peace 3 values, care for the environment 2 values, care for the social environment 6 values, responsibility 8 values. The obstacles in this research are limited teaching materials, not all classes are facilitated with projectors to increase the use of audio-visual media.

Abstract

The problem of this research was the low critical thinking ability in the learning of science in grade V elementary school students because educators have not maximized the use of teaching materials. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of worksheet based on guided inquiry on the critical thinking ability of science in grade V elementary school students. The research method was a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 21 class students. Data collection techniques used test techniques. The results showed that there was a significant effect on the use of worksheetvbased on guided inquiry on the critical thinking ability of science in grade V students of SD Negeri 4 Metro Utara.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the use of teaching materials available only in the form of government books and LKS, so it does not allow students to describe the results of their understanding in the learning process. In addition, the existing worksheets do not have colors so that they do not attract students' attention to be used in the learning process. Therefore, it is important for us to prepare learning materials that can help develop students' abilities. One form of learning material that can support this is the Learner Worksheet (LKPD). This study aims to develop contextual-based science LKPD using the Canva application for grade VI students in elementary schools. This type of research is development research or Research and Development (R & D). The 4-D development model, namely the define stage, design stage, develop stage and disseminate stage. To conduct data analysis, observation sheets on the teacher's ability to utilize LKPD and classroom management, scores of valid LKPD, easy-to-read questionnaires for individual and small group tests, and student and teacher response questionnaires.This research and development produces products in the form of Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) Based Learner Worksheets on Theme 2 subtheme 1 material on how living things adapt to the learning environment 1. Before the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) Based Learner Worksheets have been tested for feasibility from material experts, linguists, and media experts. Based on the feasibility analysis, this Learner Worksheet is declared suitable for use in the learning process. Based on the analysis of the results of the practicality trial of the Learner Worksheet from the teacher's response at SDN 11 Kampung Jawa, Solok City obtained a score of 87.50%. While the analysis of the results of the practicality trial of the Learner Worksheets from the responses of students at SDN 11 Kampung Jawa Solok City obtained a value of 87.29% which was categorized as very practical. Abstract

This research aimed to describe the use of snake and ladder board game media in science learning in elementary schools. The sixth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Metro Timur served as the research subjects. Data collection was conducted through observation, questionnaires, and documentation during the implementation of the learning media. The board game media used had been validated by media experts and material experts with a very valid category. The research results indicated that 86% of students were very active and 14% were active during learning using the snake and ladder board game media. Students' assessment of the use of the board game showed a positive response with an average score of 3.7 out of 4. The findings of this research indicated that the Snake and Ladders board game media created science learning that was interesting, interactive, and enjoyable for elementary school students.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of picture series media on the beginning reading ability of second grade students at Sanggar Belajar Kampung Bharu Malaysia. Using an experimental research design with a quantitative approach, this study involved 15 second grade students as both the population and the sample. Data collection techniques included observation sheets and tests to measure students' beginning reading ability. This study used a non-equivalent group design to investigate differences in results before and after treatment. The findings of the study showed a significant difference between the pretest (mean value: 64.06) and posttest (mean value: 82.13), showing an increase of 18.07 points after the application of picture series media. The paired t-test analysis showed a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05), confirming that picture series media had a significant effect on beginning reading ability. Before treatment, only 3 students achieved scores above the minimum completion criteria (KKM> 70), while after treatment, 14 students scored above the KKM limit. This study proves that picture series media effectively improves students' early reading skills by providing visual representations that increase motivation, stimulate imagination, and help students connect letters with meaningful concepts. This study provides valuable insights for elementary school teachers in choosing the right media to improve early reading instruction

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efisiensi internal pendidikan dasar di Kabupaten Kendal, khususnya terkait dengan angka mengulang kelas dan drop out. Meskipun secara administratif angka tersebut sangat rendah berkat kebijakan "semua siswa naik kelas" dan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka, kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan masih terdapat kasus-kasus siswa yang tidak naik kelas atau keluar dari sekolah akibat faktor non-akademik, seperti perilaku menyimpang, pelanggaran tata tertib, serta masalah sosial dan emosional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan kepala sekolah di beberapa SD di Kabupaten Kendal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi internal tidak cukup diukur dari jumlah siswa yang naik kelas, tetapi juga harus memperhatikan kualitas pembelajaran dan dukungan terhadap kebutuhan individual siswa. Diperlukan upaya manajerial yang lebih responsif serta evaluasi kebijakan yang komprehensif agar efisiensi internal benar-benar mencerminkan kualitas pendidikan yang sesungguhnya.
