Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

Listening skills are one of the fundamental aspects in learning Indonesian, especially in Phase C at the elementary school level which includes grades IV to VI. This skill plays an important role in building understanding, improving critical thinking, and supporting the development of other language skills such as speaking, reading, and writing. In reality, listening skills often receive less attention in classroom learning, which has an impact on students' understanding abilities. This study aims to analyze the importance of listening skills, factors that influence the effectiveness of listening learning, and strategies that can be applied to improve students' listening skills in elementary schools. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive approach based on data obtained to analyze problems with listening skills in the classroom. The results of the study show that listening skills can be influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors include students' interests and motivations, cognitive abilities, and concentration when listening. Meanwhile, external factors include teacher teaching methods, learning environments, use of learning media, and distractions around students during the listening process. Listening skills can be improved through the use of interesting learning media, interactive methods such as discussion and reflection, and the application of technology-based learning strategies. The role of teachers in providing appropriate stimuli and creating a conducive learning environment also greatly influences the development of students' listening skills.

This study aims to determine the effect of the direct interaction model assisted by puzzle media on student learning outcomes in Natural Science (IPA) learning on animal locomotory organs. The background of this study is based on the low learning outcomes of students in the subject of Natural Science, especially on the material of animal locomotory organs. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with an experimental research type. The research design used is One group pretest-post-test design. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. Student learning outcomes in science learning on animal locomotory organs for grade V at SDN 4 Batu Ampar District in the 2022- 2023 academic year applying direct interaction assisted by puzzle media have learning outcomes of 29 students on the pre-test questions 34.51 while the post-test 71.006 from the numbers can be described as an increase in learning outcomes after applying the direct interaction model assisted by puzzle mediaKeywords.

This research is motivated by the low academic achievement of fifth-grade students at MI Hifdzul Qur’an. The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model in improving the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at MI Hifdzul Qur’an. this study is a quantitative research using a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest model. Data collection wa carried out through pretest and posttest. The research sample consisted of 25 fifth-grade students. The data analysis techniques used in this study included validity tests, reliability test, normality tests, and paired sample t-tests. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model has a positive effect on improving students academic performance and learning skills. It can be effectively applied in classroom learning activities in accordance with the objective of enhancing student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the statistical tests, the data showed values greater than the significance level, indicating that the data were normally distributed. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0,000. Since 0,000 < 0,05, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted.

This research discusses the implementation of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at SDN Lamper Lor, especially on the properties of light. This research is motivated by the low activeness of students due to conventional learning methods that are teacher-centered and do not consider the cultural background of students. The purpose of this study is to examine how the CRT approach can be integrated in teaching IPAS to increase learner participation. This research used a qualitative case study design involving one teacher and 25 Grade 5 learners of SD Negeri Lamper Lor with diverse backgrounds. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Based on the results of the study, the use of the CRT approach can increase the activeness of learners by 84% actively answering and responding to questions from the teacher. 76% of learners were fully involved in group work when conducting simple experiments on light reflection and refraction. And 86% of learners dare to ask questions and tell their personal experiences. Based on the results of the study, it can be said that the CRT approach is able to provide an increase in the activeness of students in elementary schools in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS).

This study aims to determine empirical answers about the effect of using snakes and ladders media on the mathematics learning outcomes of 3rd grade students of SD Negeri Dawung 1. In this study, researchers used an experimental method with a pre-experimental type and a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population used in the study were all grade 3 students with a total of 20 students. The instrument used by researchers was in the form of multiple choice questions with a total of 20 questions, namely pre-test and post-test questions. Data collection techniques: 1) Test, 2) Documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used descriptive data analysis techniques and hypothesis analysis using the paired sample t-test formula. The results showed that: 1) Snakes and ladders media as learning media is designed in accordance with the development and characteristics of students so that it can motivate grade 3 students in understanding fraction material in mathematics subjects can be seen from the scores obtained by students who were previously in the low category after using learning media can be in the high category, 2). Snakes and ladders learning media is very influential on student learning outcomes, it can be seen from student learning outcomes in pre-test and post-test scores.

This study aims to: 1) The application of the role playing learning model to the speaking skills of grade V students of SDN 5 Singkawang, 2) Improve speaking skills with the role playing model in grade V students of SDN 5 Singkawang, 3) Determine the effectiveness of the application of the role playing learning model to improve speaking skills in grade V students of SDN 5 Singkawang. The type of research used in this study is quantitative. The population in this study is grade V students of SDN 5 Singkawang with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design.The data collection technique in data collection research is the measurement technique. The data analysis techniques are the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, the Levene's Test, the Independent Sample T-Test and the N-Gain Test. The results of the study show that 1) The application of the Role Playing method after obtaining Pretest and Postest data, the results of the sig (2-tailed) value were 0.000 < 0.05 in the sense that there is a significant difference between the Pretest and Post-test scores, and 2) The Role Playing learning model can improve students' speaking skills, especially drama material by 0.33 which is in the medium category.

One of the fundamental topics in mathematics taught in third grade of elementary school is whole numbers, which serve as an essential foundation for understanding counting concepts, arithmetic operations, and solving everyday problems. This study aims to describe the application of cognitive learning theory in the teaching process of whole numbers in the third grade of SD Negeri 004 Long Kali. The research uses a qualitative approach with respondents consisting of teachers, students, and the school principal. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling based on the research objectives. Snowball sampling occurred through the involvement of participants in line with the selected respondents. The research procedure began with the researcher designing instruments and learning tools based on the application of cognitive learning theory in the teaching of whole numbers, and the research was conducted using interviews and observations. Data analysis was carried out by drawing preliminary and final conclusions throughout the interview process. The research findings show that the teacher respondent had prepared, implemented, and evaluated student engagement and understanding by applying cognitive learning theory in the teaching process of whole numbers. Student respondents had prepared for, participated in, and completed group assignments, and the principal respondent had facilitated the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages.

This research aims to produce and determine the results of feasibility and effectiveness tests on Inquiry Project Task Based Student Worksheets (LKPD) to improve the science process skills of class IV elementary school students. This research was conducted in class IV at SDN Jayamukti 04, Kab. Bekasi. The type of research used is research and development with the ADDIE development model. The development process went through validation tests by 3 experts, responses from 33 class IVB students and 1 class teacher. Based on the research results, 85.45% of the media validation test results were obtained, 88.57% of the language validation test results, 100% of the material validation test results were in the very feasible category. Meanwhile, the results of data analysis from teacher and student response questionnaires obtained an average result of 91.27% with very practical criteria. From the results of these data it can be concluded that the Inquiry Project Task Based Student Worksheet (LKPD) is suitable for use as a learning medium to support the teaching and learning process on science material with the theme of animal life cycles for fourth grade elementary school students.

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students caused by the implementation of less innovative learning models. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the TGT learning model on improving student learning outcomes in the Natural Sciences (IPA) subject of ecosystem material in class V of SD Negeri 06 Pontianak Timur. The study used a quantitative approach with a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research sample was 28 class V A students consisting of 15 girls and 13 boys. Data collection was carried out through structured observation, tests (pretest and posttest), and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine the percentage of learning outcome completion. The results of the study showed a significant increase in learning outcomes, marked by completeness in the pretest cycle 1 of 0% to 3.57% in the pretest cycle 2. In the posttest cycle 1, student completeness reached 46.42% and increased to 75% in the posttest cycle 2. The average posttest score also increased from 70.35 in cycle 1 to 82.50 in cycle 2. These findings indicate that the TGT learning model is effective in improving science learning outcomes in Elementary Schools.
