Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

Learning at SMP Negeri 6 Kuaro still applies a conventional learning model, namely lectures, question-and-answer sessions, and student worksheets (LKS), particularly in Social Studies subjects. This results in students becoming bored and disengaged during lessons. The prolonged use of this conventional model by subject teachers, without any modification, has led to a decline in student learning outcomes. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Jigsaw-type cooperative learning model and collaborative strategies in Social Studies learning in relation to the learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Kuaro. This research uses a qualitative approach with respondents consisting of teachers, students, and the school principal. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling based on the research objectives. Snowball sampling was used through the involvement of participants related to the main respondents. The research procedure began with the preparation of instruments and learning tools based on the Jigsaw cooperative model and collaborative learning strategies. The research was conducted through interviews and observations. Data analysis involved drawing preliminary and final conclusions throughout the interview process. The results of the study, obtained from teacher, student, and principal respondents, show that all parties have carried out preparation, implementation, and evaluation of the learning process.

Qualitative research to provide a broad picture of the factors that hinder students' ability to implement reading literacy. Literacy is the ability to read and write as well as speak, listen, understand and think critically. Reading is the window to the world we can gain a lot of knowledge and insight by reading. To improve the quality of education, reading skills are very important to build from an early age. However, interest in reading, especially among elementary school students, is still low in Indonesia. This is a concern and a challenge that will impact on students' learning outcomes and academic achievement. There are a number of reasons for this, such as lack of support from family and friends, more focus on playing online games or electronic devices, lack of facilities and infrastructure, strong personal interest and motivation, and support from schools themselves. The Indonesian government has made various efforts to increase students' interest in reading. One of them is the implementation of a literacy culture, or the School Literacy Movement.

The background of this study is based on the low learning motivation of students, as indicated by the lack of active participation in learning, particularly in Mathematics. This study aims to describe the implementation of a constructivist approach in improving students’ learning motivation through differentiated instruction in Mathematics for second-grade students at SDN 023 Kuaro. This research uses a qualitative approach with respondents consisting of teachers, students, and the school principal. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling based on the research objectives. Snowball sampling occurred through the involvement of participants relevant to the main respondents. The research procedure began with the preparation of instruments and instructional tools based on the constructivist approach. The research was carried out through interviews and observations. Data analysis involved drawing preliminary and final conclusions during the interview process. The results of the study, obtained from teacher respondents, indicate that they have prepared, implemented, and evaluated student engagement and understanding using cooperative and collaborative strategies. Student respondents have prepared, carried out, and completed group tasks, while the principal has facilitated the preparation, implementation, and evaluation processes.

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Teacher Driving Program (Guru Penggerak) in improving the quality of learning at SD Inpres Pangkabinanga, Pallangga District, Gowa Regency. The Teacher Driving Program is a strategic initiative to enhance teachers competence and professionalism as learning leaders, agents of change, and drivers of the educational ecosystem in elementary schools. This research employs a qualitative approach using the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis involving teacher drivers, fellow teachers, students, and school stakeholders. The research results are expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the effectiveness of the Teacher Driving Program in improving learning quality and offer recommendations for future program development. The findings are anticipated to serve as a reference for policymakers and education practitioners in efforts to improve the quality of education at the elementary school level.

This study aims to determine the effect of using crossword puzzle media on improving the competence of fourth grade students in elementary schools. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research sample includes two classes, namely the experimental class that uses crossword puzzle media and the control class that applies conventional learning methods. Data collection was carried out through competency tests given before and after treatment. The results of the analysis showed a significant difference in the achievement of learning outcomes between the two classes, where the experimental class showed better improvement. These findings indicate that crossword puzzle media has a positive effect on improving student competence, so it is recommended to be used as an alternative innovative learning media at the elementary school level.

Education plays a key role in shaping quality human resources. In Indonesian language learning, media and learning resources have a significant role in increasing students' learning independence. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature research approach. The results show that the use of interactive media such as audio-visual is able to motivate students to learn independently. Various learning resources, such as books, e-books (online materials), and multimedia materials can also contribute to increasing students' learning independence. Education has a strategic role in improving the quality of human resources. This research aims to provide a description and analyze the learning preparation of the 2013 curriculum and the independent curriculum in Civics subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Jonggat. The focus of this research includes teacher preparation, challenges, and quality of learning preparation. The method in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study show that teachers have made various preparations such as analyzing learning outcomes, preparing teaching tools, mapping student characters, and selecting learning approaches that are in accordance with the needs of class characteristics and curriculum. There are several challenges faced by teachers in preparing for learning such as the difference in the 2013 curriculum assessment system with the independent curriculum. The difficulty in determining the appropriate assessment format between the two curricula is a workload that must be prepared simultaneously. However, this learning preparation is relatively good, as seen from the teacher's involvement in creating an active classroom atmosphere, the preparation of relevant and contextual teaching tools, and the ability to adapt to classroom dynamics. Teachers show their creativity and initiative in developing learning strategies that suit the needs of students.

This study focuses on teachers' emotional management strategies in addressing aggressive student behavior in the classroom, particularly at the elementary school level. The central issue examined is how teachers implement the five components of emotional management as proposed by Daniel Goleman, self-awareness, self- regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills, in responding to the frequent occurrence of aggressive behavior in learning environments. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using observation and in-depth interviews with three teachers from a private elementary school in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. To ensure data validity, source triangulation techniques were applied. The findings reveal that teachers are capable of recognizing and managing their own emotions through strategies such as deep breathing, remaining silent, or adopting a personalized approach to students. Intrinsic motivation rooted in spiritual, professional, and moral values serves as the primary driving force in maintaining emotional control. Teachers also demonstrate empathy by understanding students' backgrounds and establishing supportive and personal communication. Social skills are reflected in flexible and adaptive approaches to building positive relationships with aggressive students. In conclusion, the five components of emotional management play a crucial role in enabling teachers to create a conducive learning environment and maintain emotional resilience in the classroom. It is recommended that emotional management training and institutional support be continuously enhanced to strengthen teacher professionalism.

The Implementation of Cooperative and Collaborative Strategies in IPAS Learning for Grade III at SD Negeri 029 Long Kali. This study aims to describe the implementation of cooperative and collaborative learning strategies in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for Grade III at SD Negeri 029 Long Kali. The research employs a qualitative approach with teachers, students, and the principal as respondents. The selection of respondents used purposive sampling based on the research objectives, while snowball sampling occurred through the involvement of participants according to the initial respondents.The research procedure began with the researcher developing instruments and learning tools incorporating cooperative and collaborative strategies. Data collection was carried out through interviews and observations. Data analysis involved drawing interim and final conclusions throughout the interview process.The research findings show that teacher respondents had prepared, implemented, and evaluated student engagement and understanding by applying cooperative and collaborative strategies. Student respondents had prepared for, carried out, and completed group assignments. Meanwhile, the principal respondent had facilitated the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of the learning process.

Teacher performance is still low. Many factors affect teacher performance, both internal and external. Many theories explain the relationship between these factors and teacher performance. The objectives of this study are (1) to analyze the influence of leadership style on teacher performance, (2) to analyze the influence of job satisfaction on teacher performance, (3) to analyze the influence of leadership style and job satisfaction together on teacher performance. Quantitative research approach with survey method. Type of correlational research. The research population is 3646 teachers and the research sample is 360 teachers. Data collection with questionnaires. Data analysis techniques with descriptive data analysis, prerequisite tests including normality tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, linearity tests and hypothesis tests including simple and multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that: 1) leadership style affects teacher performance by 74.5%, with the regression equation Ŷ = 12,179 + 0.766X1 with a correlation coefficient value of 0.820. 2) job satisfaction influences teacher performance by 78.6%, with the regression equation Ŷ = 0.769 + 0.698X2 with a correlation coefficient value of 0.830. 3) leadership style and job satisfaction influence teacher performance by 78.5%, with the equation Ŷ = 2.351 + 0.539 X1 + 0.478 X2. Then the correlation coefficient value r is 0.888. The conclusion of this study is that leadership style and job satisfaction influence teacher performance by 78.5%.
