Abstract

This research is based on the completion of student learning outcomes in science subjects that are not optimal, namely 83% of 25 students out of 30 students who have not completed. Because the teaching and learning process is more dominated by teachers, still using conventional learning models. One of the things that is done is to update the learning model that places students as the center of learning, namely by using the Learning Cycle 5E model. This study aims to determine the application of the Learning Cycle 5E learning model, to determine the improvement of science process skills and learning outcomes of class V students of UPTD SDN 1 Lajer. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 3 cycles and using the Kemmis & MC Taggart design model consisting of four steps and repetitions, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This research was conducted in class V of SD Negeri 1 Lajer totaling 30 students. The results of the application of science process skills in cycle I, cycle II, and singkus III increased gradually. The percentage of cycle I is 59% in the sufficient category, cycle II is 80% in the good category, and cycle III is 85% in the very good category. Student learning outcomes have increased. In cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III students met the learning completeness and increased in each cycle from 15 students with a percentage of 50% there was an increase to 22 students with a percentage of 73% then increased to 26 students with a percentage of 87%. This study shows that learning outcomes have reached the classical success indicator of 85%. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the Learning Cycle 5E model can improve science process skills and learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

  This research is motivated by the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN Sirapan 01 in the subject of science and natural sciences which are still low. This is due to the use of inappropriate learning models and media. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the TPS (Think Pair Share) cooperative model assisted by interactive video media on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN Sirapan 01. This research is a classroom action research using several specific stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and action (reflection). The stages carried out in this cycle take place in similar steps and are carried out 2 times in cycles. The classroom action research carried out with 2 cycles provides a confirmation of the results, that in cycle 1 consisting of 11 students who can be declared complete and 7 have not had learning completeness with a percentage of completeness of 61.11%. While in cycle 2, the learning outcomes of students showed that 18 students were declared complete with a percentage of completeness of 100%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of interactive video media in science learning in class V SDN Sirapan 01 is stated to have increased through the media, where this increase is identified through the development of learning outcomes between cycles 1 to 2 of 38.89%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a TIMSS-based numeracy test instrument for fourth grade elementary school students through the stages of development research. This study also aims to prove the validity and test the reliability of the instrument, analyze the characteristics of the test instrument based on item responses, analyze the practicality and determine the numeracy profile of test takers. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D with reference to the Four-D (4D) model, which consists of four stages. In the process of developing test instruments, student involvement was carried out in stages, namely, 19 students in the small-scale test trial and 90 students in the large-scale test trial stage. Data collection was carried out through several methods, such as interviews, distributing questionnaires, and giving tests. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative and quantitative approaches, where qualitative data was obtained from the results of the needs analysis, while quantitative data was obtained through expert assessments, the results of small-scale trials, and large-scale trials. The results showed that the TIMSS-based numeracy test instrument had content validity >0.80 on each item and instrument reliability level of 0.72. The value of agreement between experts based on the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) test also showed a figure of 0.72. Based on item analysis using the Rasch model, test items are distributed in four levels of difficulty, namely very difficult questions of 13.3%, difficult 40%, easy 30% and very easy 16.7%. Overall, this instrument meets the item eligibility criteria and is considered suitable for use in measuring the numeracy skills of fourth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low reading comprehension ability of third grade students at SDN 1 Jamblang in understanding reading materials and the lack of variety in the use of media in the learning process of reading skills. This study aims to determine the effect of using flipbook media on reading comprehension skills of third grade students of SDN 1 Jamblang. This type of research is quantitative research with Pre-Experimental Design, the form of design used is One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research was conducted at SDN 1 Jamblang with a sample of 30 students. Sampling using saturated sampling technique. Data collection used, namely test techniques to measure the reading comprehension skills of third grade students. Data analysis technique to test the hypothesis using Paired Sample T-Test obtained Sig. (2-tiled) level of 0.000, where 0.000 < 0.05, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The result of this study is that there is a significant effect of using flipbook media on the reading comprehension ability of third grade students of SDN 1 Jamblang. In addition, based on the average pretest results of 70.00 and the average posttest results of 85.80.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh bahwa gaya belajarr siswa belum teridentifikasi secara efektif dan belum menemukan pola dalam mengindetifikasi gaya belajar tersebut, ini berdampak terhadap proses belajar siswa dikelas yang kurang optimal dan proses belajar yang tidak sesuai dengan preferensi gaya belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan Identifikasi gaya belajar siswa menggunakan Felder Silvermen Lerarning Styles Model (FSLSM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gaya belajar siswa berdasarkan Felder Silverman Learning Styles Model (FSLSM) menggunakan Index Of Learning Styles (ILS) pada kelas tinggi SDN 05 Sitiung. Penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif jenis penelitian survey, dengan bentuk desain survey cross secctional. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN 05 Sitiung, kecamatan Sitiung, Kabupaten Dharmasraya. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 39 siswa yang merupakan siswa kelas tinggi. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner Index Of Learning Styles (ILS) yang telah diterjemakan kedalam Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan persentase siswa lebih banyak memilih gaya belajar Aktif pada dimensi pemprosesan sebanyak 28 siswa (69,23%), gaya belajar sensing pada dimensi persepsi sebanyak 22 siswa (56,41%), gaya belajar verbal pada dimensi input sebanyak 21 siswa (53,84%) dan gaya belajar Sekuensial pada dimensi pemahaman sebanyak 22 siswa (56,41%). Maka siswa kekas tinggi memiliki kecenderungan gaya belajar ASVeSe dalam empat dimensi Felder-Silverman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana media gambar memengaruhi kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas IV B SDN 060873. Karena kemampuan berbicara merupakan bagian penting dari bahasa, siswa kelas IV B masih kesulitan dalam menyusun kalimat yang rumit dan kurang percaya diri saat bercerita di depan kelas, yang menjadi pendorong dilakukannya penelitian ini. Dengan demikian, sebanyak 24 siswa dijadikan sampel dalam penelitian kuantitatif ini, yang memiliki desain one-group pretest-posttest. Lembar tes digunakan untuk melaksanakan ujian lisan dalam rangka mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berbicara siswa telah meningkat secara signifikan. Dengan simpangan baku 96,522 dan 107,565, nilai rata-rata (mean) media gambar dari temuan Prettes adalah 80,50000 dan 87,50000, sedangkan nilai tertinggi adalah 93,00 dan 100,00. Nilai Minimum Keterampilan Berbicara (Y) pada Pretest dan Posttest Keterampilan Berbicara skor pretest 62,00 dan 75,00, skor posttest 87,00 dan 100,00, dan nilai rata-rata (mean) 78,0833 dan 89,0000, dengan simpangan baku 9,14576 dan 8,89064. Karena nilai rata-rata lebih besar dari simpangan baku, maka nilai rata-rata dan simpangan baku menunjukkan bahwa sebaran data sangat baik. Kesimpulan bahwa data yang diperoleh terdistribusi dengan sangat baik dapat ditarik dari hasil uji hipotesis satu sampel. Jika nilai Ha lebih besar dari 70% skor ideal dan nilai Ho lebih kecil atau sama dengan 70% skor ideal, maka kesimpulan tersebut dapat ditarik. H01 = 70% dan Hai = 70% nilai sig. (2-tailed) menunjukkan nilai 0,00 < 0,05. Maka dapat diputuskan Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa media gambar memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa sekolah dasar khususnya siswa kelas tinggi

Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari permasalahan yang ditemukan dalam kemampuan membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas 1 SDN 060873 Medan. Kondisi ini berpotensi menghambat perkembangan keterampilan membaca dasar serta menyebabkan kesulitan membaca pada siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media flash card dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas 1 SDN 060873 Medan. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan di kelas 1 sekolah tersebut. Metode yang digunakan aadalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen, serta desain yang digunakan yaitu one group pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas 1 SDN 060873 Medan, dengan Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampel terdiri dari 28 siswa kelas 1-B. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa penggunaan media flash card secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa, yang terhihat dari peningkatan hasil antara pretest dan posttest.

Abstract

Permasalahan karakter peserta didik menjadi perhatian utama dalam dunia pendidikan saat ini, khususnya pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Dalam upaya menanamkan nilai-nilai moral dan etika, SDN 2 Maria mengembangkan kegiatan Kamis Budaya sebagai media pembentukan karakter yang berbasis kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang tercermin dalam kegiatan Kamis Budaya di SDN 2 Maria. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah kegiatan Kamis Budaya. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru, dan peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan Kamis Budaya di SDN 2 Maria mampu menanamkan berbagai nilai karakter, antara lain religius, nasionalisme, gotong royong, kemandirian, integritas, kedisiplinan, dan cinta budaya.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Grobogan 02 in the science subject, focusing on the material plant body parts, through the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model, assisted by question card teaching media. The background of the study is based on the low achievement of the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) and the dominance of the lecture method which makes students passive in learning. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method in two cycles. The results of the study indicate that the application of the TGT model, aided by question card media, can significantly improve student learning outcomes, encourage active participation and foster critical and collaborative thinking skills.

Abstract

Speaking skills are one of the essential aspects of learning Bahasa Indonesia in elementary school, as they play a significant role in supporting students' communication abilities. However, observations in Grade IV at SDN Mugarsari revealed that students’ speaking skills were still low, as indicated by difficulties in pronunciation, intonation, word choice, and low self-confidence. This was due to the lack of interactive learning methods. This study aims to improve the speaking skills of Grade IV students at SDN Mugarsari in Bahasa Indonesia lessons through the application of the peer feedback method. The research was conducted in two cycles using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, which involved planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. In each cycle, learning activities focused on group presentations, with speaking skills assessed through performance tests. The results showed that the peer feedback method improved student participation and their ability to express opinions verbally. The study involved 24 Grade IV students at SDN Mugarsari. In the first cycle, 14 students met the learning criteria, increasing to 21 students in the second cycle. The learning mastery in the second cycle reached 87.5%, exceeding the success criterion of 80%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the peer feedback method is effective in improving students’ speaking skills in Bahasa Indonesia lessons.
