Abstract

This research is Classroom Action Research with the aim of finding out the use of tangram learning media to improve students mathematics learning outcomes in class I UPT SD Negeri 060912 Medan Denai through the Problem Based Learning model. The focus of this research is the use of tangram media and students mathematics learning outcomes. The subjects of this research were teachers and all class I students at UPT SD Negeri 060912 Medan Denai, totaling 21 students in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, tests and documentation. As for the results of the research in cycle I, student learning outcomes were in the sufficient category and in cycle II, student learning outcomes were in the high category. In line with this, student learning outcomes have also increased. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the use of tangram learning media can improve the learning outcomes of class I students at UPT SD Negeri 060912 Medan Denai.

Abstract

The problem in this study is where during science learning students tend to be passive and do not want to ask questions.and when the teacher asks questions to students, they only answer the questions with answers that are already listed in the book. The question with the answers already listed in the book. To follow up on these problems, the researchers tried to provide a solution to the problem, namely by using a combination of learning model which consists of Problem Based Learning, Team Assisted Individualization and audio visual media. Individualization and audio visual media. The approach used in this research is qualitative research qualitative research and this type of research applies class action research. Type of data presented in this study are qualitative data and quantitative data. Quantitative data. Qualitative data in the form of data on teacher activities and student activities activities in the teaching and learning process, through observation with an observation sheet. observation sheet. Quantitative data in the form of student learning outcomes obtained through written tests at the end of each meeting. This research was conducted at SDN Telawang 4 in the even semester of class V in the 2023/2024 academic year. After conducting 4 meetings with 2 cycles, the results showed that activities of teachers, students, Science process skills, WASAKA character and learning outcomes improved in each cycle with learning outcomes increased in each cycle with the categories of "Very Active", "Highly Skilled" and "Completed". This proves that learning using model of Problem Based Learning, Team Assisted Individualization and audio-visual media is declared successful.audio-visual media was declared successful.

Abstract

This research discusses the comparison of Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Project Based Learning (PJBL) learning models on motivation and descriptive writing skills in class V students of Gugus II, Mamajang District, Makassar City. This research aims to analyze the differences in motivation and writing skills taught using the PBL and PJBL models. The type of research used is quantitative experimental research Posttest-Only Control Design. The population in this study were all class V students of Gugus II, Mamajang District, totaling 6 schools with a total number of students of 272. The research sample was class V students of UPT SPF SD Negeri Labuang Baji II, totaling 45 people who were selected using random sampling techniques, which comes from 2 classes, namely VA using PBL and VB using PJBL. Data collection techniques are questionnaire techniques to determine learning motivation and tests to determine students' writing skills. The research results based on descriptive analysis showed that the average value of the PBL learning motivation questionnaire was 87.79 while PJBL was 81.42. on PBL description writing skills is 94.26 while PJBL is 81.23. This means that the average value of PBL motivation and writing skills is higher than PJBL. The results of the inferential analysis show that the PBL learning model has a more significant effect compared to the PJBL learning model on the motivation and descriptive writing skills of class V UPT SPF students at SD Negeri Labuang Baji II. This is based on the MANOVA test results obtained, namely the sig value. 0.01 < 0.05.

Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of improving student learning outcomes by implementing the media (MONAS) "Monopoly on Norms in Society in the Pancasila education subject for class V elementary school. This research uses the type of classroom action research (PTK). This research was carried out in two cycles consisting of 2 meetings through 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects in this research were students in class V of Elementary School at SDN Dupak 1 Surabaya, totaling 32 students. The data analysis technique used in this research is a qualitative descriptive data analysis technique. The results of student observations in cycle I reached 86%, then increased to 96% in cycle II. This percentage gain shows an increase of 10%. The percentage of classical learning completion for class V students at SDN Dupak 1 Surabaya in cycle I was 3.33%, and increased again in cycle II to 93%. This percentage shows an increase of 90% compared to the previous cycle. From these results it can be concluded that by implementing the media "MONAS" (Monopoly Norms in Society) can improve student learning outcomes in class V Norm material at SDN Dupak 1 Surabaya.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of difficulty in reading class II and to determine the improvement in the results of implementing Reading Corner on class II reading skills at SDN Lakarsantri III/474 Surabaya. The background to this research is that there are students who have difficulty reading so that in learning these children are left behind because they cannot read. This is a concern for teachers to pay attention to these students. Reading is one of the language skills that students must have.  Therefore, special attention needs to be paid to students who are lagging behind in reading skills. The type of research used is Collaborative Class Action Research (PTKK). This research uses qualitative research with case studies. The stages in a classroom action study consist of: planning stage, implementation stage, observation stage and reflection stage. The results of this research are 1) In class II, 6 students were found who had reading difficulties. Of the 6 students, 2 students did not recognize the letters of the alphabet A-Z. Meanwhile, 4 students have delays in reading. 2) After implementing the Reading Corner, students' reading skills improved with the acquisition of data that had a value above the KKM, namely 15 students with a total of 17 students. Meanwhile, before implementing the Reading Corner, there were 9 students who had scores above the KKM.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Beskalan No. 14 Surakarta Elementary School. Therefore, a learning model and media are needed to improve learning outcomes and understanding of angle measurement material. The purpose of this study is to improve mathematics learning outcomes of angle measurement material for fifth grade students of Beskalan No. 14 Surakarta Elementary School using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and angle clock media. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of 2 cycles, each cycle is a series of activities each consisting of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were 14 fifth grade students of Beskalan No. 14 Surakarta Elementary School consisting of 8 male students and 6 female students. To determine the implementation of Mathematics learning of angle measurement material using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with angle clock media. From the 2 cycles, the first cycle obtained 6 students who completed and 8 students had not reached the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). The second cycle obtained an increase to 100% of students who completed their studies. From the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model with the angle clock media can improve student learning outcomes in Mathematics learning on angle measurement material for grade V students of Beskalan Elementary School No. 14 Surakarta. In addition, student learning is more meaningful, making students learn to better understand the angle measurement material based on the results of their learning experiences, fun, active and enthusiastic.

Abstract

Sinah Kasih is the name of a village in the Sei Rampah sub-district, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province. The village government system of Sinah Kasih is directly led by a village head, who is democratically elected by the local community. The presence of village officials is crucial in supporting the village head in making policy decisions and implementing work-based programs that benefit Sinah Kasih. Currently, the selection of village officials in Sinah Kasih is directly carried out by the village head, but several issues have arisen, causing suspicion among the community. This suspicion stems from a lack of trust in the selection process, which is perceived to involve nepotism, leading to decreased community support for the village government's programs. As a result, the village head is seeking a solution to ensure the selection of village officials is more transparent and free from nepotism. A decision support system is a suitable solution to address the problems faced by the village head of Sinah Kasih. An application was developed to assist in decision-making processes by the village head. The outcome of the research is the design and development of a decision support system application, compatible with Windows, which functions as a tool for determining village officials in Sinah Kasih using the Measurement of Alternatives and Ranking According (MARA) method.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Discovery Learning model based on Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) to enhance students' analytical skills regarding Indonesia's natural diversity in Social Studies at SMP Negeri 1 Surabaya. The combination of CRT and Discovery Learning is expected to link the material with students' cultural backgrounds, improving their engagement and understanding. This Classroom Action Research was conducted in two cycles, with two learning sessions in each cycle. Data were collected through observation and tests, showing an increase in learning mastery from 48.57% in the first cycle to 85.71% in the second cycle. These results confirm the effectiveness of this method in enhancing students' understanding.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the discussion skills of students before applying the Conferencing approach in science lessons for sixth-grade students at State Elementary School 060857 Medan Tembung, to assess the discussion skills of students after applying the Conferencing approach in science lessons for sixth-grade students at State Elementary School 060857 Medan Tembung, and to evaluate the improvement in students' discussion skills on science material after implementing the Conferencing approach in sixth grade at State Elementary School 060857 Medan Tembung. This research uses a quantitative approach. The results of the research based on the observations conducted show that during the pre-test, 13 students were not yet proficient, accounting for 48.1%, while 14 students were deemed proficient, making up 51.9%. The students' discussion skills using the conferencing approach in Cycle I did not meet the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM), with only 3 students meeting the KKM, while 24 students did not. In Cycle II, the students' discussion skills using the conferencing approach met the KKM standards, with 26 students meeting the KKM and 1 student not meeting the KKM. The gain calculation yielded an average of 64.96 for Cycle I and an average of 84 for Cycle II, resulting in a gain of 54.4%. This indicates that VI State Elementary School 060857 Medan Tembung experienced a moderate improvement in discussion skills, as it falls within the 31-70% category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) movement on increasing student awareness in Environmental Education learning in grade 3 of SDN 4 Jalaksana. The main problem faced by SDN 4 Jalaksana is that good waste management has not been implemented, due to the lack of programs and learning that focus on waste management. This study used the Pre-Experimental method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research sample consisted of 21 grade 3 students of SDN 4 Jalaksana. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, and data analysis included validity, reliability, and analysis prerequisite tests. The results showed a significant increase in student awareness of waste management after the implementation of the 3R movement. This proves that the 3R movement can be an effective approach in increasing student awareness of sustainable waste management.
