Abstract

Kajian ini bermaksud memaparkan peningkatan dari diterapkannya pendekatan STEAM terhadap pemahaman konsep pecahan siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Kajian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang diadaptasi dari model Kemmis dan Taggart dan dilakukan di SD Negeri 054906 Tebasan Lama dengan siswa kelas IV sebagai subyek kajian dengan jumlah 30 siswa. Dengan data yang didapat berasal dari observasi, wawancara dan angket pemahaman konsep matematika, lembar aktivitas guru dan siswa yang selanjutnya data tersebut dianalisis dengan kuantitatif deskriptif. Kajian ini dilakukan sebanyak II siklus dan tiap siklusnya terdapat tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil kajian memaparkan hasil pratindakan memiliki persentase sebesar 25% capaian rendah, tahap I mendapat persentase 65% capaian baik dan siklus II mendapat persentase sebesar 89% capaian sangat baik. Sehingga dikonklusikan dengan diterapkannya pendekatan STEAM dalam pembelajaran matematika mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep pecahan siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar.Kata Kunci: Pendekatan STEAM, Peningkatan, Pemahaman Konsep Pecahan

Abstract

Geometri Analitik sebagai salah satu mata kuliah wajib program studi Pendidikan Matematika. Penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan selama dua siklus ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki proses dan hasil belajar Geometri Analitik mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Negeri Medan. Penelitian melibatkan 36 mahasiswa yang dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil tahun akademik 2023/2024. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes hasil belajar Geometri Analitik dan pengamatan langsung berupa catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang dilakukan dengan menerapkan Problem Based Learning berbantuan GeoGebra dapat memperbaiki proses dan hasil belajar Geometri Analitik mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Negeri Medan. Analytical Geometry is one of the mandatory subjects in the Mathematics Education study program. Classroom action research carried out over two cycles aims to improve the Analytical Geometry learning process and outcomes of students in the Mathematics Education study program at Medan State University. The research involved 36 students which was carried out in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. Research data was obtained through Analytical Geometry learning results tests and direct observations in the form of field notes. The results of the research show that learning carried out by applying Problem-Based Learning with the help of GeoGebra can improve the Analytical Geometry learning process and outcomes of students in the Mathematics Education study program at Medan State University.

Abstract

The general aim of implementing the educational unit level curriculum is to make educational units independent and empowered by granting authority to educational institutions and encouraging schools to make participatory decisions in developing the curriculum. Most elementary school teachers often fail to complete the material satisfactorily. After carrying out initial learning at the author's place of teaching at SD Negeri I Padangsidimpuan City class V, they experienced failure in completing with the following results: There were 14 students who got a score of less than 75 or 66.7% with a KKM of 75. Those who got a score of 75 or more there were 7 students or 33.3% with a KKM of 75. In this lesson the researcher carried out activities in accordance with the lesson implementation plan. At first the students looked active and enthusiastic, but when asked to do practice questions they were still confused about how to do it. After researchers analyzed the results of student work (formative tests) in initial learning, it was found that students did not understand the material. Of the 21 students who got a score above the KKM (75), only 7 students or 33.33%. With an average score of 60.0

Abstract

This research aims: (1) to describe the improvement in mathematical problem solving abilities of class VIII students at SMP N 35 Medan through the application of the Numbered Head Together learning model and (2) to improve the mathematical problem solving abilities of class VIII students at SMP N 35 through the application of the Numbered Head learning model Together achieves classic completion. The subjects in this research were 28 students in class VIII-3 of SMP N 35 Medan after implementing the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model. This research is classroom action research (PTK), consisting of 2 cycles and per cycle carried out in 1 meeting. The data collection instruments used were observation sheets and mathematical problem solving ability tests. The results of this research show that there was an increase in the mathematical problem solving abilities of class VIII-3 students by 32.59 from the initial test carried out to cycle II after implementing the NHT model in the classroom. In cycle I, the average class score was 73.43 with classical completeness of 50%, and in cycle II the class average increased to 81.92 with classical completeness of 85.71%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Numbered Head Together learning model can improve the mathematical problem solving abilities of class VIII-3 students at SMP N 35 Medan. Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the way humans interact with mathematical information, making Techno-Mathematical Literacies (TML) increasingly crucial in the digital era. The research aims to identify and analyze the TML abilities of students as an initial step in understanding the TML ability profile at the higher education level. The research uses a mixed-method approach with an explanatory sequential design. 31 students from the Civil Engineering program at the University of Riau Islands, selected as research subjects, were chosen using the purposive sampling technique. Data collection used the TML ability test with four dimensions. The content validity score was 0.85 using Aiken's V formula, followed by semi-structured interviews with 6 students. The research results show that the average TML ability of the students is in the low category (35.53%). The analysis of TML components reveals that students perform best in digital mathematical representation (42.78%), digital mathematical literacy (37.08%), digital mathematical validation (34.79%), and have the lowest ability in using mathematical software (24.58%). Thematic analysis identified four main factors influencing the development of TML: the process of technology integration, technical and adaptation barriers, the development of problem-solving skills, and perceptions and attitudes towards TML. These findings imply the need for more intensive and structured learning interventions to enhance students' TML skills, particularly in the aspect of mastering mathematical software. The recommended strategies include a project-based approach and the use of various innovative digital media. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the transformation of learning in primary schools (SD) using game-based media to enhance student activities interactively. Game-based media is applied to a variety of subjects with stages designed to facilitate 21st century skills. This research uses qualitative methods to identify the impact, benefits in reducing student anxiety and boredom, and constraints in implementation. Results show that game-based media can increase student engagement interactively. Game-based media can be used in various subjects, providing a more enjoyable learning experience, facilitating better interaction, offering more interesting and dynamic learning for students, reducing anxiety and boredom, and facilitating 21st century skills, named by Critical thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication. Despite the challenges of limited infrastructure and teacher training, the potential of gaming media is huge in creating a more effective learning experience. Further development is expected to overcome these obstacles by strengthening technological support and pedagogical training for teachers.

Abstract

Teaching materials play a crucial role in facilitating and enhancing the creativity and independence of elementary school students. P5 teaching materials refer to learning materials designed to support the Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach. This approach prioritizes project-based learning where students are directly involved in projects that require them to complete complex tasks and connect to real-world problems. This research is a systematic review research with the aim of determining the effectiveness of P5 teaching materials in increasing the independence and creativity of elementary school students. Searches for journal articles were carried out through the Publish or Perish application found in the Google Scholar electronic database with the keyword project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students. The initial search found 322 journal articles, after being reviewed by inclusion, 7 journal articles were found to be reviewed systematically. The results of the systematic review found that from several articles reviewed it was found that the development of P5 teaching materials, especially in increasing student creativity and independence, had not yet been worked on much by researchers. It becomes something important if this is used as a study to provide more insight and new views in developing comprehensive teaching materials in overseeing every student learning activity

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to examine: (1) Influence critic thingking abilities of students who obtained a model of problem-based learning better than students who received direct instruction model, (2) Influence the creative thinking ability of students who get problem based learning is better than students who received direct instruction, (3) Levels of student activity during problem-based learning process in progress, (4) The pattern of responses of the students in solving problems in each lesson. That analysis was performed with analysis of covariance (ANAKOVA). The main result of this study is the overall student learning with problem-based learning is significantly better in improving critic thingking skills and creative thinking skilsl than students with hands-on teaching. Descriptively also reviewed the answers from the formulation of the problem are: (1) Activities of students in problem-based learning is effective. (2) The pattern of responses of the students are learning using problem-based learning model is better than the students who are learning to use the direct instruction model. Based on the results of the study, the researchers recommend that: (1) problem-based learning in english learning that emphasizes critic thingking skills and creative thinking skills students can be used as an alternative for implementing innovative english learning. Abstract

kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa berdasarkan pendekatan matematika realistik dengan pembelajaran biasa. Jenis penelitian adalah quasi-ekperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMP di Kota Medan, dengan sampel siswa kelas VIII yang diambil secara acak kelas dari sekolah peringkat tinggi, sedang dan rendah berdasarkan perolehan nilai Ujian Nasional Tahun 2008 yang dikeluarkan Diknas. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari tes berpikir kritis matematika bentuk uraian. Analisis data dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif, Mann-Whitney U, uji-T, ANOVA dan uji Post Hoc. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa antara yang diberi pendekatan matematika realistik dengan pembelajaran biasa, 2) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa berdasarkan peringkat sekolah, 3) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa berdasarkan gender, 4) tidak terdapat interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran dengan peringkat sekolah terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, 5) tidak terdapat interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran dengan gender terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, dan 6) siswa memiliki respon yang positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika realistik. Secara umum, melalui pembelajaran matematika realistik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Dengan demikian, yang menjadi saran atas hasil penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan matematika realistik dapat diimplementasikan dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan tidak harus membedakan peringkat sekolah dan gender. Abstract

Abstract: Academic achievement refers to the performance of students' learning outcomes after a period of learning knowledge and skills. Under the current education system, schools often express students' academic performance in the form of exams. An important factor in the control of the learning process is the student's ability factor in the learning process with the support of control is the role of parents, teachers and peers. The data of this study used Multivariate analysis. Because in this study it is more suitable for processing multi-layer structure data, decomposing the original single random error into the appropriate level, which can greatly improve the effect of fitting the model. In this study, the results obtained are by looking at the results of the Multivariate test, the results obtained are the role of process control of the three elements is with the support of family, the role of teachers and peers, the results are that the three variables greatly support the role of control of the learning process. Keyword: process control, multivariat, student ability Abstrak: Prestasi akademik mengacu pada kinerja hasil belajar siswa setelah periode pembelajaran pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Di bawah sistem pendidikan saat ini, sekolah sering kali mengungkapkan kinerja akademik siswa dalam bentuk ujian. Faktor penting dalam kontorl proses pembelajaran adalah faktor kemampuan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dengan pendukung control adalah peran orang tua, guru dan teman sebaya. Data penelitian ini menggunakan analisas Multivariat. Karena pada penelitian ini lebih cocok untuk memproses data struktur multi-lapis, menguraikan kesalahan acak tunggal asli ke level yang sesuai, yang dapat sangat meningkatkan efek pemasangan model Dalam penelitian ini hasi lyang di dapat adalah dengan melihat hasil uji Multivariat makan hasil yang di dapat adalah peran control proses dari ketiga elemen adalah dengan dukungan keluarga, peran guru dan teman sebaya maka hasilnya adalah ketiga variable tersebut sangat mendukung peran control proses pembelajaran.
