Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

Educational planning is a systematic effort to achieve the desired educational goals, and can be divided into several types based on scale, time and specific goals. Types of educational planning include strategic, operational, curriculum and financing planning. Strategic planning focuses on achieving the long-term vision of the education system, taking into account external and internal factors that can influence the direction of national education. Meanwhile, operational planning is more practical and oriented towards the implementation of daily educational activities at the institutional level. Curriculum planning focuses on developing and structuring teaching materials to meet learning needs in line with current developments and job market demands. Financing planning involves managing resources to support the sustainability of planned educational programs. Each type of planning is interrelated and has an important role in creating an education system that is effective, efficient and responsive to change. This article will review in more depth the characteristics of each type of educational planning, the challenges faced in its implementation, as well as recommendations for strengthening integration between types of planning in order to achieve better educational goals.

Innovation in teaching is one of the key elements that support the development of education worldwide. In the era of globalisation and rapid technological advancement, there is a need for effective and efficient teaching methods. According to a report from UNESCO (2020), around 90% of students in the world experience learning disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which emphasises the importance of innovation in facing educational challenges. Innovation in teaching includes not only the use of technology, but also new and creative pedagogical approaches that can increase student engagement. Visionary education leaders can create an enabling environment for innovation, inspire teachers to adopt new methods, and encourage collaboration among stakeholders. Specifically, this journal aims to: Identify the characteristics and types of effective leadership in the educational context, analyse the strategies that educational leaders can use to create an environment that supports innovation, explore the challenges faced by educational leaders in implementing innovation and how to overcome them, provide recommendations for educational leaders to improve innovation in teaching in schools. This research used a literature study method with a qualitative approach. Analysis was conducted by categorising information based on relevant themes. The integration of technology in educational leadership is an important step; by utilising technology effectively, educational leaders can create a more interactive and engaging learning environment for students. Through training and developing educational leaders, building collaboration networks and integrating technology, educational leaders can create an environment that supports innovation. The implications of the findings suggest the need for investment in educational leader training and the development of collaboration networks. Schools need to be encouraged to adopt technology in the teaching process and provide equitable access for all students.

Speaking is one of the most important language skills and is often used in a variety of everyday situations. However, students' speaking skills are still relatively low due to a lack of confidence and limited access to support resources in the learning process. To overcome this problem, the role-playing method can be applied as an effective active learning approach to improve speaking skills. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the role-playing method in improving students' speaking skills at the elementary school level. This research was conducted by a literature review method to analyze relevant publications on Google Scholar. Based on the results of the review, the role-playing method proved to be an interesting, innovative, and highly effective learning strategy in developing speaking skills in elementary school students.

The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of the application of the Teams Games Tournament and Group Investigation learning model on the profile of Pancasila students with the element of mutual cooperation in IPAS grade IV elementary school. This study is an experimental study with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The data collection technique is through tests and observations, while the data analysis technique uses SPSS 27.0. The data analysis technique in this study uses the Independent T-Test with prerequisite tests in the form of data normality test and data homogeneity test. The normality test of the data of the experimental and control groups used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and the data homogeneity test using the Bartlet test. The conclusion of the study based on the results of the T test is that the value of Sig. (One-Sided p) 0.003, (Two-Sided p) 0.005 < 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament model and the Group Investigation model have differences in effectiveness in increasing mutual cooperation. The average post test results obtained from the results of the T test of the Teams Games Tournament model were 84.10 and the Group Investigation model was 76.34. Thus, it is said that the Teams Games Tournament model has a higher level of effectiveness than the Group Investigation model on the Pancasila Student Profile of the gotong royong element in learning science science in grade IV elementary school. ABSTRACT: The context of this study is the management of improving teacher professionalism at SDN Padasugih 01. The purpose of this study was to analyze the planning, organizing, mobilizing, and monitoring and evaluation in improving teacher professionalism at SDN Padasugih 01. This study used a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the management of improving teacher professionalism carried out has a significant role in improving professionalism. The principal at SDN Padasugih 01 has implemented various strategies for improving professionalism which include activities 1) planning to improve teacher professionalism, the findings in the RKS did not find a plan to improve teacher professionalism because the principal compiled it separately from the RKS; 2) organizing teacher professionalism improvement, the findings were that teachers did not use assignment letters and SPPD from the school because training invitations came directly from the center so that they had to shift the budget to BOSP; 3) driving teacher professionalism improvement, the findings were that the principal had not given physical awards to teachers' efforts to improve their professionalism; and 4) supervision of teacher professionalism improvement, the findings are that the principal has not routinely held good practice activities as a result of teacher professionalism improvement activities. This study suggests that schools be more proactive in encouraging their teachers to improve their professionalism. Policy support from the government and local education offices is also considered essential to ensure that these programs can run optimally and sustainably. In conclusion, effective management in improving teacher professionalism will have a positive impact on the quality of learning and student learning outcomes. The success of learning cannot be separated from the role of a teacher. Learning motivation needs to be provided as a positive encouragement that helps students achieve learning goals. The low learning motivation of VB class students in Arts and Culture lessons can affect students' personal and social development. This research aims to describe and analyze the role of teachers in increasing students' learning motivation in Arts and Culture lessons in class VB at SD Negeri Pondok Jagung 01. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The techniques used by researchers are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data triangulation, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research are that the role of teachers in increasing students' learning motivation in the Arts and Culture subject class VB at Pondok Jagung 01 State Elementary School has been implemented well, including 1) Teachers as motivators, 2) Teachers as facilitators and 3) Teachers as learning managers. The motivation given is in the form of praise, providing learning facilities according to student needs and classroom management that supports student creativity physically in the classroom and in the learning process. The class teacher's strategy is to give rewards, create cooperation and design fun learning.

This research aims to describe how decisions are made in solving mathematical problems in terms of field dependent and field independent cognitive styles. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method in the form of a case study. The research subjects were 2 students from class VII C of SMP Negeri 24 Pontianak, namely 1 field dependent subject and 1 field independent subject taken based on considerations and suggestions from the subject teacher. The data collection techniques used were the Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT) instrument test, essay test questions for decision making in solving mathematical problems, as well as non-tests in the form of interviews and documentation. To test the validity of the data, triangulation techniques were used. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Test and interview results are analyzed based on decision making indicators, namely: understanding the problem in the questions given, identifying the purpose of decision making, finding alternative answers, calculating or working on the questions given, evaluating alternative answers to be worked on, making decisions, evaluating decision results. These results indicate that students with a field dependent cognitive style can fulfill all decision making indicators in solving decision making test questions. Students with field independent cognitive style are only able to fulfill some of all decision making indicators.

This study aims to identify and analyze the various problems faced by teachers in fostering student morals at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta Ira Medan. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive approach. In this research, the subjects are the head of Madrasah, teachers, and students. Data collection techniques used in this research are interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques used in this research are the reduction stage, data presentation stage, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that some of the main challenges faced by teachers include external and internal factors, external factors, namely the lack of parental upbringing, the negative influence of the social environment, the influence of peer association while internal factors are innate factors, or habits in everyday life. So that teachers must have methods in fostering student morals such as, (1) exemplary method (uswatun hasanah), (2) habituation method, (3) advice method. And the solution to the teacher's problem in fostering student morals is (1) giving a good example as a teacher or a good example, (2) giving advice to students (3) good communication between teachers, parents, and students, and others.

The integration of technology and media in 21st-century learning has become an important necessity in primary education to meet the needs of students in the digital era. The purpose of this research is to determine how the application of media and technology in teaching practices impacts student learning outcomes and engagement. Using qualitative descriptive methods, this research collects data through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and document analysis. The results show that incorporating technology and media into an interactive and student-centered learning environment enhances their creativity, critical thinking skills, and collaboration abilities. In addition, teachers indicated that the use of digital platforms and media tools enhances the quality of learning. However, there are issues such as limited resources, lack of teacher instruction, and uneven access to technology. According to this research, the integration of technology and media in primary education can only be achieved with comprehensive infrastructure support and teacher training. This research provides educators and policymakers with important insights to determine future learning strategies.

Islamic cultural history is a difficult and difficult subject to master, especially for students. Students feel less interested when they encounter difficult Islamic cultural history questions and even tend to avoid them and teachers can use technology-based learning media, namely smart TV. The purpose of the study was to analyze technology-based learning media (smart TV) in the subject of Islamic cultural history at MTS Darul Ulim Purwogondo. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection through observation analysis, interviews and documentation. The results of the study showed that the success of students in learning was influenced by teachers on how they teach, in addition, adequate facilities and infrastructure will also support success in achieving learning objectives. The way to optimize the achievement of learning objectives is to use the right media. From the use of the right media can affect learning interest, the selection of smart TV media is chosen as an effective learning strategy so that students actively develop knowledge.
