Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the GeoGebra application in enhancing the critical thinking skills of junior high school students on the topic of three-dimensional shapes. The background of this research is based on the importance of critical thinking in mathematics learning and the need for interactive and contextual learning media. The method used is a pre-experimental design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest model. This study involved a sample of 35 students from class VIII G at SMP Negeri 1 Gurah, Kediri Regency. The research instrument consisted of tests that measured indicators of critical thinking skills, administered before and after learning using the GeoGebra application. The data analysis results showed that most students experienced an improvement in their critical thinking abilities. The pretest score was 60.71, which increased to 81.88 in the posttest. Based on the N-Gain classification, 85.75% of students were in the medium to high category. This improvement indicates that GeoGebra is effective in supporting the mathematics learning process, particularly in assisting visual understanding of concepts and increasing student engagement. Therefore, the use of the GeoGebra application can be an alternative learning media to improve students’ critical thinking skills. The researcher extends sincere gratitude to all parties involved, especially to SMP Negeri 1 Gurah, Kediri Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) melalui penggunaan media video animasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam bentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 36/1 Kilangan, yang berjumlah 14 orang. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan konsentrasi belajar peserta didik setelah penggunaan media video animasi. Pada siklus I, rata-rata skor konsentrasi peserta didik sebesar 60%, dan meningkat menjadi 77,67% pada siklus II. Media video animasi terbukti mampu menarik perhatian peserta didik, menyajikan materi secara menarik dan interaktif, serta memudahkan pemahaman konsep yang bersifat abstrak. Selain itu, penggunaan media ini juga meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih menyenangkan. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media video animasi dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan konsentrasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPAS di jenjang sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education learning model based on teaching aids on student learning outcomes in Mathematics subjects in class II UPT SPF SDN 101822 Pancur Batu Learning Year 2024/2025. The research method used was One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects were all class II students totaling 28 people. The results showed an increase in the average score from the pretest of 48.58 to 76.78 in the posttest. A total of 24 out of 28 students (86%) achieved learning completeness after the application of the Realistic Mathematics Education learning model based on teaching aids. Statistical analysis shows the rcount value of 0.932 which indicates a very strong correlation between the application of the learning model and learning outcomes. The t-test shows that the t-count of 13,112 is greater than the t-table of 2.056, from the results of the t-test there is a significant influence between the use of the Realistic Mathematics Education learning model on student learning outcomes. And also the Realistic Mathematics Education learning model based on props effectively improves student learning outcomes in the material of multiplication counting operations. This model makes it easier for students to understand concepts concretely and meaningfully, and increases interest, motivation, and active participation in the learning process.

Abstract

The issues that are the focus of this study in improving low learning outcomes are the inadequate results of fourth-grade students in the IPAS subject at SDN Cibolang, with average scores still below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), thus requiring a varied and innovative learning model that can ignite students' learning enthusiasm. The purpose of this improvement research is to describe the application of an approach to enhance learning outcomes in the IPAS subject regarding the Cultural Diversity in Indonesia. This research was conducted from May 16 to May 31, 2025, at SDN Cibolang, with a research subject of 22 students. The design of this learning improvement procedure uses classroom action research (CAR), which consists of two cycles, with each cycle comprising four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the research in the pre-cycle indicated that 4 (18%) students had not yet achieved completion. Subsequently, there was an increase.

Abstract

The 1945 Constitution guarantees the basic right of all citizens to obtain basic education. The Indonesian government has made a number of initiatives, including the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP), the zoning system, and the elimination of the National Examination, to ensure equal access to education. However, in reality, these steps have not been fully successful in overcoming barriers to access to education, especially in underprivileged, isolated, and marginalized communities. This study aims to critically examine Indonesia's basic education regulations and identify issues that hinder equal access to education. The approach taken is a literature review, which involves reviewing various scientific publications, government policies, and previous study findings. The study findings indicate that geographical, economic, and infrastructure constraints, as well as a lack of trained teachers, continue to influence the gap in access to education. Furthermore, the gap in access is exacerbated by inconsistent implementation and lack of policy socialization. Obtaining government funding is also very difficult for small private and religious educational institutions. Therefore, to ensure equal access to basic education, a more inclusive and contextual strategy and a comprehensive policy evaluation are needed. Building superior and competitive human resources in the era of globalization requires equal and high-quality education.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence is an important aspect in the development of elementary school children that plays a major role in shaping character, social skills, and readiness to learn. However, the reality in the field shows that many students still have difficulty recognizing, managing, and expressing their emotions appropriately. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of classroom-based guidance and counseling services in enhancing emotional intelligence among elementary school students. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive study with a case study approach. The research subjects were fifth-grade students at a public elementary school in Lubuklinggau City who exhibited diverse emotional dynamics. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that integrating counseling services into classroom activities through a participatory, reflective, and communicative approach can enhance students' understanding of their own emotions and those of others, conflict management skills, and empathy toward peers. Classroom teachers, who act as facilitators and initial counselors, play a key role in creating a supportive learning environment for students' emotional development. These findings emphasize the importance of synergy between elementary education and counseling science in supporting children's holistic growth. The implications of this study point to the need to strengthen elementary school teachers' competencies in basic classroom-based counseling services to support the achievement of the Pancasila learner profile.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance the learning motivation of fourth-grade students in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) through the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model. The study was motivated by the issue of low student motivation, which negatively impacts learning outcomes. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) method was used, consisting of two cycles that included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The findings demonstrate that applying the NHT model effectively boosts students’ motivation, as reflected in increased participation, cooperation, and responsibility within groups. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the NHT cooperative learning model is effective in enhancing learning motivation in IPAS subjects for fourth-grade students.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the implementation of Edpuzzle as a learning media to improve students learning outcomes in Sciences and Social Studies (IPAS) through the use of a personalized learning model. This reserch employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects of the study were elementary school students whose data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The finding revealed that the use of Edpuzzle effectively enhanced student engagement, facilitated better understanding of the material, and provided a learning experiences tailored to each student’s need and pace. The personalized learning model applied in this study supported students-centered learning and had a positive impact on improving learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the benefits of interactive digital learning media in the form of Canva to improve the poetry writing skills of Grade IV elementary school students. Learning media is an important part of the teaching and learning process. Canva is one of the interactive learning media tools that can enhance poetry reading skills in Grade IV students. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study technique. The data collection technique used is literature review, conducted by searching for relevant and appropriate scientific articles related to the research topic. A total of 7 articles were cited, sourced from accredited journals such as SINTA and Garuda, within the last 5 years (2020–2025).

Abstract

This study was motivated by problems in the learning process at SMP Negeri 1 Bathin Solapan, especially in grade VII, namely low student motivation. This is caused by several factors, including the fact that the learning model is not yet fully implemented. As a result, student involvement in the learning process is still very minimal, and students still tend to have difficulty understanding the learning material. When the material is presented, some students do not take notes, lack enthusiasm in participating in learning activities, quickly give up when encountering difficult questions, and do not focus on the teacher and consider the material explained to be unimportant, because the material is often delivered using conventional methods This can reduce students' motivation to learn. Therefore, the researcher is interested in conducting research to determine the effect of the word square learning model assisted by word search puzzles on improving student motivation in learning Pancasila Education in grade VII at SMP Negeri 1 Bathin Solapan. One of the research questions in this study is whether there is an effect of the word square learning model. The population in this study consisted of 159 students, with a sample size of 63 students divided into two classes, namely class VII.1 and VII.2. The data collection method used in this study was observation (questionnaire). Data management was conducted using statistical analysis with the t-test formula, namely the Independent Sample T-test, yielding a sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 at a significance level of 5% or 0.000 < 0.05, then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.
