Abstract

This study objective to determine the effect of using Wordwall learning media on student achievement and reading skills of students of Bahasa Indonesia subjects UPTD SD Negeri 77 Parepare. This research uses quantitative methods with experimental research in the form of one group pretest-posttest. The population of this study were all students at UPTD SD Negeri 77 Parepare. with a sample 20 class v students using random sampling technique. Data collection was carries out by giving initial tests and final tests to measure student achievement before and after the use of Wordwall student achievement and reading skills of students in Bahasa Indonesia subject. The data analysis technique used was paired sample t-test to test average difference in learning outcomes before and after treatment. This finding indicates a significant difference between student learning media on improving the student achievement before and after using Wordwall learning media. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant effect of using Wordwall learning media on improving the outcomes of reading skills in Bahasa Indonesia subjects of grade V students of UPTD SD Negeri 77 Parepare.

Abstract

Writing is one of the essential skills in Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level. However, many students still struggle to write descriptive texts in a complete and structured manner. This issue arises from the suboptimal use of learning media and the lack of explicit guidance from teachers during the writing process. This study aims to examine the effect of using the Deskripedia application, which is based on guided writing, on the descriptive writing skills of sixth-grade elementary school students. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects consisted of 30 sixth-grade students from SDN Pasirjati. The main instrument used was a descriptive text writing test, assessed based on text structure and linguistic features. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and N-Gain score. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ writing skills after using Deskripedia, with the average score increasing from 36.63 (pretest) to 85.30 (posttest). The Wilcoxon test revealed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), and the mean N-Gain score of 76.74 indicated a high category of improvement. These findings suggest that Deskripedia is an effective digital learning medium for enhancing students’ writing skills in a structured and independent manner.

Abstract

This study aims to discover the challenges faced by teachers in implementing the teaching model in the fourth grade of SDN Junganyar 2 Bangkalan, Indonesia. The research was conducted at SDN Junganyar 2 Socah, located in Bangkalan. This research is of a qualitative nature, utilizing data collection methods such as questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings of this study reveal facts related to issues arising from the use of inappropriate models and methods, which can lead to boredom, low concentration, and difficulty in speaking Indonesian. The data from the questionnaire indicates that 75% of students enjoy the Indonesian subject, while 90% struggle with maintaining concentration during their studies.

Abstract

This study analyzes the novel Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam by Dian Purnomo using a Lacanian psychoanalytic approach to understand the formation of the main character, Magi Diela's, subjectivity within a patriarchal social structure. Using Lacanian concepts such as lack, desire, objet petit a, and the realms of The Real, The Symbolic, and The Imaginary, this research reveals the process of patriarchy's internalization in women and how desire and resistance to symbolic structures create change in the main character. The method employed is a deep textual analysis of symbolism, language, and narrative within the novel. The findings show that the novel is more than just a story of suffering; it is also a medium for resistance against gender injustice, with Magi Diela serving as an example of a woman challenging the patriarchal order. In conclusion, through a Lacanian approach, the novel illustrates how desire serves as the main driving force in a woman's struggle to form a subjectivity free from patriarchal oppression.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students and the ineffectiveness of learning models in science subjects make students less active in learning, which is the background for the preparation of this study. This study aims to determine the effect of the two stay two stray cooperative learning model on learning outcomes and student activity in grade IV of UPTD SDN 1 Kedokanbunder. This study uses an experimental method with a pretest posttest control group design. The population of the study was all students of UPTD SDN 1 Kedokanbunder with a sampling technique using random sampling. The research sample consisted of 60 students who were students in grades IV A and IV B. Research data were collected through multiple choice tests and observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out using the independent sample t test with the help of SPSS. Based on the results of the study using independent sam ple t, the calculated ˃ (9.542 ˃ 2.001) and sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 ˂ 0.05 were obtained, so was rejected and was accepted. Meanwhile, the results of the independent sample t test on student activity showed that the lower and upper values ​​were each negative, namely lower = -0.875 and upper = -0.205, while sig. (2-tailed) was 0.003 ˂ 0.05, so it is said that the data in the table above shows that is rejected and is accepted. Thus, it can be stated that the cooperative model type two stay two stray can affect the learning outcomes and student activity in class IV UPTD SDN 1 Kedokanbunder.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in the science and science subject class V at SD Negeri 066650 Medan Kota for the 2024/2025 academic year. This research uses quantitative research methods. The research population is class V at SD Negeri 067245 Bunga Asoka which consists of 1 class with a total of 30 students. Sampling used a total sample of 30 students. To determine students' initial abilities, researchers conducted a pretest with an average score of 50.5 in the not good category. After researchers used the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning model, it showed that student learning outcomes had improved with an average score of 75 in the good category. This research can be proven from the results of the correlation coefficient of 0.841. If rcount ≥ rtable 0.841 ≥ 0.361 then Ha is accepted. This means that there is a strong correlation influence between the project based learning model on the learning outcomes of class V students at UPT SD N 066650 Medan Kota. It can be seen from the results of the t-test, namely 8.215 ≥ 2.048, thus stating that Ha is accepted. This proves that there is a significant influence from the use of the project based learning model on student learning outcomes in the science and sciences subject V SD Negeri 066650 Medan Kota for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and practical digital comic medium of fairy tales for the Indonesian Language subject in third-grade elementary school. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The study was conducted at two elementary schools: SDN Gayamsari 01 and SDN Karangtempel. The results of the validation tests by media experts and material experts obtained a percentage of 95.3%, which falls within the interval of 81%–100% and is categorized as "highly feasible." Meanwhile, the practicality test results by teachers obtained a percentage of 93.3%, and the practicality test results by students reached 98.6%, both of which fall within the interval of 81%–100% with the category of "highly feasible." Therefore, the developed digital comic of fairy tales is declared highly feasible for use as a learning medium in the Indonesian Language subject for third-grade elementary school.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of tolerance of class VIII students in Junior High School Negeri 1 Sentajo Raya. To minimize this problem, there is a learning of Pancasila Education. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of Pancasila Education on the tolerance character of class VIII students. This research uses quantitative research method with a statistical approach. The population and sample of this study were 39 students. The data analysis technique was carried out using a simple linear regression test with the help of SPSS version 27. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence of Pancasila Education on the tolerance character of class VIII students as evidenced by the value of Fcount (10.496) ≥ Ftable (4.105). The results of the calculation of the coefficient of determination (R square) test were obtained at 22.1%, which means that there is an influence of Pancasila education on the tolerance character of class VIII students while 77.9% (100%-22.1%) is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution of hotspots, identify the factors causing fires, assess mitigation efforts, and assess the impact of hotspot phenomena on the environment and society in Koto Baru District, Dharmasraya Regency in 2024. The method used is descriptive qualitative with field observation approaches, interviews, questionnaires, and spatial data analysis using satellite imagery and ArcGIS software. The results showed that the distribution of the most hotspots was in Nagari Koto Padang (52%), followed by Nagari Koto Baru (30%), Nagari Ampang Kuranji (17%), while Nagari Sialang Gaung had no hotspots (0%). The factors causing fires include physical factors, such as forest residues (twigs and dry leaves), and social factors, such as agricultural residues (straw and husks). Mitigation efforts were carried out through the use of firefighting equipment by the community (75%), technical training for volunteers, improvement of firefighting facilities, and education in vulnerable areas, although still hampered by difficult terrain, limited personnel, and low early reporting. The hotspot phenomenon has resulted in ecosystem damage, biodiversity loss, increased cases of acute respiratory infections (ARI), and disruption to socio-economic activities. These findings underscore the need for strengthened early warning systems, cross-sector coordination, and active community participation to mitigate forest and land fires sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Sarolangun Regency Government's policy regarding the housing of the Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) through the Madani Housing program in Lubuk Jering Village, Air Hitam District. The research focuses on the social impact of this policy on the lives of the SAD and the extent of their participation in the decision-making process. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, and data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the policy of relocating the SAD to Madani Housing has had a positive impact in terms of providing physical facilities, but it is not fully aligned with the SAD's nomadic culture and lifestyle. Furthermore, SAD community participation in the decision-making process remains low due to limited communication and a lack of cultural understanding on the part of the government. This lack of participation has led to internal conflict within the SAD community and hindered their adaptation to their new environment. This study recommends the need for a more participatory approach based on local wisdom in formulating policies related to indigenous communities such as the SAD.
