Abstract

Human resources (HR) is the most important asset or capital for an organization or company. This study aims to determine the influence of Leadership Style and Talent Management Against Employee Development At PT. Marsyavin Jaya Merauke Regency. This research is a quantitative research where this research use survey method with path analysis technique to know influence between independent variable and dependent variable at PT. Marsyavin Jaya Merauke Regency. The results of this study found that leadership style has a positive effect on employee development, leadership style positively affects talent management, talent management has a positive effect on employee development. The talent management can mediate the influence of leadership style on the development of employees at PT. Marsyavin Jaya Merauke Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work motivation, competence and compensation on agent performance through job satisfaction at Prudential Life Assurance, and to see whether job satisfaction acts as an intervening variable. The population of this study is a Prudential Life Assurance agent consisting of 8 branch offices in Makassar with a total sample of 90 agents. Data collection is done through questionnaires using simple random techniques. The collected data is then analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with PLS 2.0 as a data processing software. From the results of this study found: (1) work motivation has a non-significant effect on job satisfaction but has a significant effect on agent performance, (2) competence has a significant influence on job satisfaction and agent performance, (3) compensation has a significant effect on job satisfaction and agent performance, (4) job satisfaction has no significant effect on agent performance, (5) work motivation, competence and compensation have no significant effect on agent performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of organizational climate on creativity and innovative behavior at PT. Telkom (Persero) Tbk. Witel Makassar either directly or mediation. This study uses a quantitative approach. Finally, the results of this study explain the causal relationship between the variables through hypothesis testing. In this research, analysis method used is path analysis using Smart Partial Least Square (PLS) 2.0 program. The results of this study indicate that partially organizational climate has positive and significant effect on creativity, organizational climate has positive and significant effect on innovative behavior, and creativity has positive and significant effect on innovative behavior. The indirect influence shows that creativity can mediate the organizational climate influence on innovative behavior positively and significantly.

Abstract

The value of the company is affected by a number of internal factors of the company where these factors are often used by potential investors in assessing the company's ability in an attempt to increase the value of the company. This study aims to provide empirical evidence on the influence of dividend policy, debt policy and investment policy on the value of manufacturing companies of various industry sub-sector listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2012-2016. To test and provide empirical evidence on whether profitability can moderate the effect of dividend policy, debt policy and investment policy on the value of manufacturing companies of various industry sub-sectors listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2012-2016. The result of empirical analysis that dividend policy have positive and significant effect to company value. Debt policy (DER) has a positive and significant impact on company value. Investment policy has a positive and significant effect on company value. Interaction test found that profitability can not moderate the influence of dividend policy to firm value. Interaction test results obtained findings that profitability can moderate the influence between debt policy to profitability and profitability can not moderate the influence of investment policy on the value of manufacturing companies’ sub-sector miscellaneous industries listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange 2012-2016.

Abstract

The tourism sector plays an important role in the development of a nation, especially the state economy because tourism is one of the most potential sources of income. This study aims to analyze the strategy of developing modern people's shipping Paotere unit to support the tourism of Makassar City based on the mapping of internal and external conditions. This research is designed with a quantitative form. Data analysis used in this research is SWOT analysis to formulate strategy of development of modern people voyage in PT.Pelindo IV (Persero) Makassar Makassar Paotere Unit in order to support tourism in Makassar City. This analysis is based on logic that can maximize strength and opportunity, but simultaneously and can minimize weakness and threats. The results of this study indicate the development strategy of modern people's shipping PT. Pelindo IV (Persero) Makassar Branch Paotere Unit in supporting the tourism city of Makassar based on the mapping of internal factors and external factors is an aggressive strategy that seeks to improve the internal conditions of weakness and external threats by utilizing a number of internal strengths owned and external opportunities available.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of instrumental ownership, capital adequacy ratio (CAR), loan deposit ratio (LDR) to profitability at several banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research uses descriptive analysis with quantitative approach and using multiple linear regression analysis technique assisted with SPSS program version 24. Quantitative approach is used to find accurate information and data and identify problems or to get justification of circumstances and activities that are being walk. The results showed that institutional ownership had a positive and significant impact on profitability, capital adequacy ratio (CAR) has a positive and significant impact on profitability, and loan deposit ratio (LDR) has a positive and significant impact on profitability.

Abstract

In 2016, when nickel prices were in a low position throughout history, PT Vale not only managed to achieve strong performance but also succeeded in laying a solid foundation for sustainable growth in the future. This study aims to evaluate management strategies in controlling financial performance that occurred at PT. Vale Indonesia, Tbk and to provide enlightenment and suggestions as an evaluation material for companies in taking more measurable, more effective and efficient strategic measures to be more sustainable and remain competitive. This research is based on qualitative approach. The theoretical framework is obtained through articles, literature and case studies relevant to the research. Empirical information is gained through experience experienced by the researcher, interaction, formal and non-formal communication, and observation. The results of this study indicate that the evaluation and testing of PT Vale strategy using SWOT analysis and TOWS matrix has been done correctly with the proven that internal factors in PT Vale have a very strong influence on the decisions and strategic steps taken by the company. In this study, evaluation of strategic decisions determined by firms is evaluated through QSPM analysis. The evaluation conducted at PT Vale proves that QSPM can be a very precise strategic planning tool.

Abstract

Safety of life and work (safety) is the main value that must be owned by every company, not least PT Vale Indonesia (PTVI) as a nickel mining and processing company operating in Sorowako, South Sulawesi. This study aims to examine the implementation and effectiveness of CSMS, including the factors that affect the safety performance of contractors at PT Vale Indonesia in Sorowako. This study was conducted by analyzing the significance and correlation between CSMS implementation and its effectiveness as well as the influencing factors: culture and behavior, work conditions, resources, communication and training. The analytical tool used is Chi Square and Kendall's Tau with primary data obtained from the questionnaire survey to the parties related to CSMS that are contractors and stakeholders in PT Vale Indonesia and secondary data in the form of data safety record in EHS department of PT Vale Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that the CSMS program in PT Vale Indonesia has been implemented well and sufficiently, so the effects of the program have been in accordance with its objectives and lead to targets determined on the quantity side, but in terms of quality needs to be improved further by increasing fulfillment of CSMS implementation and significant influencing factors are: improvement of training, communication and culture and safety behavior.

Abstract

For PT Vale Indonesia Tbk, performance is one of the important indicators for the company. Performance is also mentioned and described in the proceeds of the 2014 Joint Task Force which is the result of management agreements with trade unions as representatives of employees. To analyze the influence of motivation and perceived organizational support towards commitment and performance in employee performance improvement strategy at PT Vale Indonesia Tbk, used data collection technique through questionnaires distribution to selected employee as sample. Data analysis technique used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique. This method is commonly used for the examination of relatively complex relations simultaneously with a sample of 202 people at PT Vale Indonesia Tbk. The results showed that commitment was positively and significantly influenced by Perceived Organizational Support and motivation, performance was positively and significantly influenced by motivation and Perceived Organizational Suppor, while commitment had positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT. Vale Indonesia Tbk, so the hypothesis in this research is accepted.

Abstract

Contractor selection is very important to ensure work can be done on time, on budget, and meet the quality. This study aims to analyze and understand in depth the factors of contractor selection criteria affecting project performance. The research was conducted at PT Vale Indonesia in Sorowako by taking samples of employees involved in the procurement of construction services. Data collection is done through documentation and questionnaire. Data analysis was done by factor analysis. The results show that there are three factors affecting project performance with a total cumulative variance of 61,708%. Factor I consist of conscientiousness, reputation, and cooperative relationship with eigenvalue of 3,693 and total variance of 39,930%. Factor II consists of job knowledge, job proficiency, initiative, and social skill with eigenvalue of 1,357 and total variance of 13,574%. Factor III consists of job experience, controllability, and commitment with eigenvalue of 1,120 and total variance of 11,204%. The findings of this study could be the reference of project owners in selecting contractors.
