Abstract

Background: Existing educational institutions should be run for the educational objectives mandated by Law No. 20 of 2003. There are several aspects that will be influenced by the objectives, namely curriculum design, teaching methodology and graduate output. Purpose: The urgency of this research is to meet the needs of the JSIT Association (Integrated Islamic School Network) of Riau Province and regulators in this case the Pekanbaru City Education Office. A model is needed. On the other hand, technology is also an important part in building a sustainable model. The purpose of this research is to provide empirical evidence in the form of recommendations for acceptable models (stakeholders), which can be applied according to the character of SD IT. Method: The method used in this research is the mix method with an economic and Malay cultural approach, then interactive and integrative are carried out in an effort to maintain sustainability. Result: The results show that the model is acceptable, implementable, profitable and sustainable. This is built on the principles of Integrative, Social, Character, Productive and Sustainable so it can be called the IS-KPB Model (Integrated, Social, Character-Based, Profitable, Sustainable). Conclusion: This model is then used as a guideline for curriculum design, school management systems, and strengthening networks between schools and the wider community.

Abstract

Background: The goal of the Tahfidzul Qur'an curriculum at Institut Perguruan Tinggi Ilmu Al-Qur'an (PTIQ) Jakarta is to achieve mutqin (flawless Qur'anic memorization). Purpose: Implementing this high-standard method in a challenging academic environment raises issues related to quality assurance and the correction of tajwid errors in adult students. Method: This study employed a Descriptive Qualitative Research Design with a Case Study approach at PTIQ. Data were collected through triangulation, involving semi-structured interviews with LTTQ management (n=2), Musyrif (n=5), and students (n=8), along with non-participant observation and document analysis. Result: The findings highlight the effectiveness of the Talqin method as a high-fidelity diagnostic and corrective tool for ensuring accurate makharijul huruf and tajwid, directly supporting the mutqin standard. However, its effectiveness is hindered by time constraints and reduced student focus due to academic workload. Conclusion: To optimize results, institutions should ensure dedicated time for Talqin sessions and invest in professional development for Musyrif. Future research should use quantitative and longitudinal designs to assess the method’s impact on mutqin outcomes and long-term retention.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of dhikr education on altruistic behavior, with emotional intelligence as a mediating variable. Method: The method used is mixed methods, with a population consisting of mursyid, tarekat administrators, leaders of congregation groups, and students at the Darul Falah Pagutan Islamic Boarding School and the Qamarul Huda Bagu Islamic Boarding School, totaling 998 people, with a sample of 200 people. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using SEM-PLS. Results: The results showed that dhikr education had a positive effect on altruistic behavior and emotional intelligence, with a coefficient of dhikr education on altruistic behavior of 0.219 and a t-statistic of 3.258, and an effect on emotional intelligence of 0.347 with a t-statistic of 6.170, both significant. In addition, emotional intelligence was also proven to influence altruistic behavior with a coefficient of 0.198 and a t-statistic of 2.694. Conclusion: Overall, dhikr education significantly contributes to increasing altruistic behavior through strengthening emotional intelligence, indicating a positive causal associative relationship between the three variables studied. Implications: The implication is that dhikr education can be used as a strategic approach to improve the moral and social quality of Islamic boarding school students, as well as the importance of integrating emotional intelligence in the religious education process. This can be applied in teaching programs at Islamic boarding schools and other educational institutions to encourage better character development, as well as increasing individual contributions to society through higher altruistic behavior.

Abstract

Background: The rapid development of information technology presents significant challenges for libraries in maintaining relevant and accurate collections. Information literacy has become an essential competency for librarians to effectively evaluate, manage, and provide information resources. Purpose: This study examines the relationship between librarians’ information literacy and the quality of library collections in five state universities in South Kalimantan using a quantitative regression approach. Method: All 51 librarians were included through saturated sampling, with data collected via observations, questionnaires, and documentation, and validated for reliability. The findings show that librarians’ information literacy is in the good category (mean 3.20), as is the quality of library collections (mean 3.54). The correlation test produced r = 0.236 (sig. 0.061), indicating a positive yet moderate relationship. Result: These results highlight that stronger information literacy skills contribute to better-managed collections. Conclusion: More broadly, the study suggests that strengthening information literacy competencies can enhance collection development practices not only in South Kalimantan but also in other higher education institutions with similar contexts.

Result: Thematic analysis revealed that lead teachers focused on core learning activities, while assistant teachers provided individual support, maintained classroom order, and supervised children. Collaboration occurred during the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, facilitated by open communication and clearly defined roles. Challenges such as role ambiguity and time constraints were addressed through professional training and administrative support. Conclusion: The findings affirm that co-teaching enhances classroom climate, child engagement, and instructional effectiveness. Implication: This study offers empirical insights for developing collaborative teaching models in ECE and suggests directions for future research on co-teaching implementation across diverse educational contexts in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research departs from the need for a leadership model that is able to answer moral, spiritual, and managerial challenges in Islamic educational institutions. In this context, prophetic leadership is seen as an ideal paradigm because it is rooted in the prophetic values ṣidq (honesty), amānah (responsibility), tablīgh (communicative), and faṭānah (intelligence) that lead leaders to act as moral guides as well as organizational drivers. The purpose of this research is to analyze the role and implementation of prophetic leadership as a leadership model in Islamic educational institutions, as well as how its values can be applied in modern education management. The research method used is library research with a descriptive qualitative approach, referring to the theories put forward by Kuntowijoyo, Al-Attas, Qomar, Bass, and Greenleaf. The results of the study show that prophetic leadership is able to integrate spiritual values with work professionalism through the application of the principles of transcendence, humanization, and liberation in institutional vision, human resource management, organizational culture, and the development of Islamic education curriculum. In conclusion, the prophetic leadership model is not only relevant to strengthen the character of Islamic educational institutions, but also effective in creating a management system that is just, value-oriented, and adaptive to the changing times, thereby contributing to the formation of a generation with noble character and global competitiveness.
