Abstract

This study aimed to determine the interest of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in using accounting information systems. The interests of SMEs were measured by using the effectiveness of implementing accounting information systems. In addition, behavioral variables were used to bridge the relationship between the perceptions of SMEs on the ease of use, benefits, risks, and trust in the effectiveness of the information system used. The survey method involving a questionnaire was used in this study. The results showed that behavior determines the effectiveness of applying accounting information systems to SMEs. This study also found that it is essential to pay attention to the benefits of the financial accounting system created by the SME company in bringing out a positive attitude from users of accounting information systems.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of business tenure, operating hours, and the number of competitors on the number of customers for street vendors in Medan, along with the financial implications of customer traffic. Using a quantitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through structured questionnaires, involving direct numerical input provided by street vendors. The research was conducted in selected districts of Medan using purposive sampling, with a total sample of 30 respondents. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that, collectively, business tenure, operating hours, and the number of competitors significantly affect customer volume. However, on an individual basis, only operating hours had a statistically significant impact, suggesting that longer operating hours are positively associated with attracting more customers. In contrast, business tenure and competition did not show a meaningful influence. The regression model met the assumptions of normality and showed no signs of heteroscedasticity. From a financial perspective, the results imply that optimizing daily operating hours may enhance customer reach and, subsequently, improve income potential, whereas simply having longer business experience or facing more competitors does not necessarily guarantee higher earnings.

Abstract

Traditional retail in the Barlingmascakeb region of Central Java faces significant challenges in adopting digital technology, primarily due to limited understanding, skills, and infrastructure. This study aims to explore the role of conviviality in traditional retail communities in the Barlingmascakeb region to strengthen social interaction and collaboration among community members to accelerate digital transformation. The study uses a qualitative approach with purposive sampling, with informants consisting of active community members, community mentors, community promoters, and community retail consumers. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and analysed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The results of the study show that the digital transformation process involves five stages: initiation, adoption, adaptation, integration, and transformation. Community support is crucial, including building strong interpersonal relationships, holding digitalisation business training sessions, and sharing resources. Conviviality is demonstrated through close relationships between members, active participation, openness to sharing ideas, taking the initiative to organise activities, forming social networks, and flexible norms to encourage creativity. Ultimately, conviviality plays a role in the success of traditional retail communities in the Barlingmascakeb region of Central Java.

Abstract

PT Nestlé Indonesia is one of the leading and well-known food and beverage producers in Indonesia. This study aims to evaluate the distribution route used by one of PT Nestlé Indonesia's authorized distributors, UD Andatu Mulia, which operates in Jember Regency. The data analysis methods employed are the Saving Matrix and Nearest Neighbor methods. The data includes demand quantities, distances between stores, and the amount and capacity of available transportation. The results indicate that the use of the Saving Matrix and Nearest Neighbor methods can generate four optimized distribution routes, resulting in a distance savings of 173.84 km, or 24%. Additionally, the total savings in shipping costs calculated using these methods amounts to Rp1,380,593 per day or Rp33,134,235 per month, representing a 22% reduction in costs. This research offers practical implications and can serve as a reference for UD Andatu Mulia in determining optimal distribution routes to minimize shipping costs and optimize delivery times to customers.

Abstract

In this modern age of rapid technological growth and abundant information, e-commerce has become a powerful tool for businesses looking to reach a global audience. Engaging in electronic commerce opens up a world of opportunity to tap into local and international markets ripe for expansion. This study aims to dig deeper into the beauty product preferences of the American populace, which uses Amazon to craft a strategic expansion plan that resonates with people's desires. This research delved into the realm of qualitative analysis by utilizing the innovative TOWS matrix analysis and STP analysis to uncover the desires and inclinations of individuals toward beauty products. To capture the attention of the Amazon e-commerce market, the company should target female consumers between the ages of 12 and 44 who are interested in vegan, eco-friendly products that are chemical-free, prioritize animal welfare, and are looking for high-quality decorative cosmetics. Furthermore, the company should promote eco-friendly products and professional makeup to cater to the growing demand for sustainable options among environmentally-conscious Americans. With a well-thought-out plan, the company has the potential to thrive and expand its business footprint by tapping into the endless possibilities of e-commerce platforms.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of work placement and work experience on employee productivity, both partially and simultaneously. The research employs a quantitative analysis approach. A total of 38 samples were included in this study, and non-probability sampling was utilized for data collection. The primary data were gathered through a questionnaire, while secondary data were obtained from relevant journals and books. The method employed for data analysis is multiple linear regression, conducted using SPSS statistical software. The analysis results indicate that both work placement and work experience have a partial effect on employee productivity. Additionally, the ANOVA test results show that work placement and work experience simultaneously influence employee productivity at the BPJS Health Office in Manokwari. Based on the findings, it is recommended that the company prioritize selecting prospective employees who possess a solid understanding of relevant knowledge during the recruitment process.

Abstract

The company’s human resources must be able to evolve to become more productive, innovative, and adaptive in every generation. This is necessary to ensure that human resources are competitive in the current era of Industry 4.0. Business processes and the company’s human resources are now influenced by the new technologies they use. Currently, the standards and qualifications of human resources need to be improved. The management of Sun Plaza Medan Shopping Center also experiences this challenge. Therefore, the aim of this study is to understand and analyze how management will address the growth of Industry 4.0. Additionally, this research will examine the impact of Industry 4.0 on human resource development. The study will also explore how management can improve the qualifications required by the management of Sun Plaza Medan Shopping Center. This research employs two approaches: descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative descriptive results are derived from interviews and observations at Sun Plaza Medan. The quantitative results come from surveys conducted with employees of the management of Sun Plaza Medan Shopping Center. The research findings from interviews and questionnaires indicate that Sun Plaza Medan Shopping Center still requires human resources to operate, as it is a shopping center that prioritizes services to visitors. The staff currently working at Sun Plaza Medan Shopping Center meet the required qualifications. The survey results reveal that they are interested in the developments of Industry 4.0 and have the desire to learn and understand the advancements in Industry 4.0.

Abstract

The Company's value is to maximize business value and shareholder welfare, increasing the wealth of business owners by obtaining maximum profit or profit. This research aims to examine the influence of green accounting and dividend policy on company value with 50 mining companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) during the 2018-2022 period. This test uses 35 company data samples using the purposive sampling method. The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing. The results of this research indicate that Green accounting and Dividend Policy have no effect on company value.

Abstract

Peran koperasi memiliki tantangan berat akibat menurunnya respon masyarakat terhdap koperasi, yang diakibatkan banyaknya kasus yang menimpa koperasi. Kondisi ini merupakan permasalahan sosial, diperparah juga oleh rendahnya minat berwirausaha anggota koperasi. Padahal UMKM diketahui mampu menyerap tenaga kerja sekitar 97 persen dan kontribusinya terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) nasional sekitar 60%. Informasi awal diperoleh bahwa koperasi belum mampu bangkit, disebabkan kemampuan sumber daya manusianya (SDM) yang belum maksimal. Seseorang bergabung ke Koperasi hanya bertujuan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan dari segi finansial dan tidak serius dalam mengelola koperasi sementara koperasi berperan sebagai kewirausahaan sosial. Menurut kajian teoritis, dibutuhkan passion dalam bekerja dan kemampuan melihat peluang pasar. Urgensi penelitian ini, diperlukan sebagai kajian untuk memecahkan masalah rendahnya passion dan kegigihan berwirausaha (entrepreneurial presistence) pengelola koperasi agar dapat meningkatkan perkembangan koperasi di masyarakat berlandaskan kewirausahaan Islami (Islamic entrepreneurship). Temuan akan bermanfaat sebagai bahan referensi bagi pengurus koperasi dalam menyeleksi anggota yang ingin bergabung dan meningkatkan kemampuan berwirausaha secara Islami, disebabkan telah banyak dilakukan pelatihan pada pengelola untuk pengembangan koperasi, namun belum menampakkan hasil nyata. Data diolah dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda pada 100 orang sampel terpilih dari koperasi yang ada di Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa entrepreneurial passion dan entrepreneurial presistence berperan dalam menumbuhkan kemampuan pengurus koperasi dalam membentuk Islamic entrepreneurship.

Abstract

The research investigates the impact of fiscal acumen, collegial persuasion, and financial technology disbursement on monetary administration conduct among tertiary learners. It addresses the imbalance between the widespread use of financial technology and inadequate financial literacy, along with peer pressure influences. Using an elucidatory methodology with a quantitative paradigm, 73 respondents were selected from a pool of 268 scholars through judgmental sampling. Data were collected via Google Forms and analyzed using multivariate linear regression with SPSS 27, including validity, reliability, classical assumptions, T-tests, F-tests, and determination analyses. Findings indicate that fiscal acumen and financial technology disbursement significantly influenced financial behavior, while collegial persuasion did not. However, all three variables together had a substantial positive impact.
