Abstract

The learning media for listening to the text of the observation report that has been used so far is still audio-visual in nature, sourced from Youtube. This makes it difficult for students if they want to learn the previous material so that interesting media is needed and can be studied repeatedly by using articulate storylines. For this reason, the purpose of this study was to describe the results of developing learning media for listening skills to the text of the observation report with an articulate storyline at SMAN 3 Bantul, Academic Year 2021/2022. The research method used was a research and development method with the ADDIE development model. The research was conducted at SMAN 3 Bantul. The subjects used by class X IPS 2 students were 15 students. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires, and tests. The results of the study show: 1) this research produces an interactive learning media product, html5 version of articulate storyline and an android application called Indonesian Language Learning Media; 2) the quality of interactive learning media articulate storyline, based on the results of the assessment of media experts by 95% and material experts 92.5%, so it is categorized as very feasible/valid; 3) student interest in articulate storyline learning media by 94% is categorized as very good; and 4) the effectiveness of the articulate storyline media after the trial was carried out, which was 81.64 N gain and categorized as effective.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe a precise, in-depth, and detailed understanding of, 1) the use of language in the SMS text of the "Lapor Cik" column of the Harian Rakyat Bengkulu, in terms of formality, the use of slang (slang), word abbreviations, (2 ) the style of language used in the SMS text of the "Lapor Cik" column of the Harian Rakyat Bengkulu. This type of research is descriptive research. The analytical tool used is qualitative, namely by interpreting the meaning contained in the SMS text. The results showed that: 1) the use of the SMS language "Lapor Cik" there are several language uses, namely formal language with a percentage of 0.03%, the use of a foreign language that includes Indonesian, or often referred to as language mixing with a percentage of 0.02%, the use of slang with a percentage of 0.14%, and abbreviation of words with a percentage of 0.34%, meaning that from the overall use of the SMS language "Lapor Cik" is dominated by abbreviations. Then, 2) shortening the language of the SMS "Lapor Cik" using clipping as a part of the process of forming new words, while in the context of SMS Lapor Cik, clipping is used not to form new words, but to save characters and of course credit, and (3) on the styles that can be found in the "Lapor Cik" SMS of the Harian Rakyat Bengkulu, namely: (a) oppositional figure of speech, (b) comparative language style, (c) and linked language style.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the ability to analyze the Indonesian language test (question) made by Indonesian language teachers according to the cognitive domain of the Anderson and Krathwohl model online for students of the Indonesian Language Education S-1 Program FKIP Bengkulu University, regarding the construction of (a) the characteristics of the cognitive domain according to the verb operational, (b) interesting and contextual-based question stimulus, and (c) Indonesian language question construction applying KKO. This study uses a descriptive method and a simple quantitative approach as well as through an online learning system. Data collection uses documentation and test techniques. The research instrument was in the form of document recording guidelines (tests) to analyze all teacher-made Indonesian questions to obtain a description of the quality of each question. The research data is in the form of 40 documents resulting from descriptions of Indonesian language questions (essays and multiple choice) which cover six cognitive aspects. The main data analysis technique uses the average formula and qualitative conclusion analysis through the description of the construction of Indonesian language questions. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the ability of students to analyze teacher-made Indonesian tests (questions) in online lesson plans based on the cognitive domain of the Anderson and Krathwohl model online for undergraduate students of Indonesian Language Education FKIP Bengkulu University was categorized as good with an average score of 89.25 (at score range 73-96). These results are corroborated by the average score of the six cognitive aspects of 7.44 in the good category (in the score range 7-8). Students have been able to analyze the use of operational verbs in the six cognitive aspects in the construction of essay and multiplechoice Indonesian test kits (questions). A description of the use of operational verbs in Indonesian language questions explicitly or implicitly, such as the use of the word explaining in the aspect of knowing (C1), the word mentioning the characteristics in the aspect of understanding (C2), the word determining in the aspect of applying (3), the word finding meaning in the aspect of analyzing (C4), the word concludes the content of the text on the evaluating aspect (c5), and the word develops or writes a short story on the creative aspect (C6).

Abstract

Writing features was still difficult for high school students, especially in expressing ideas by telling short, clear, and interesting facts. For that, we need the right technique in teaching features. One technique that is expected to help students be able to write features is the field trip technique. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to describe the application of the field trip technique in improving the ability to write features with local wisdom in high school students. The method used in this research is a classroom action research method. The action research process consists of a four-stage procedure, namely planning, action, development, and reflection. Based on pre-test data and two cycles, the use of field trip techniques can improve students' ability to write features. This increase can be seen in the achievement of the KKM, which reaches a value of 75 from the pre-cycle of 7 students or 41%, in the first cycle there are 13 students who have completed or 76%, then in the second cycle there are 17 students who have completed or 100%. Meanwhile, those who have not reached the KKM have decreased from pre-cycle by 59%, cycle I by 24%, and cycle II to 0%. For this reason, it is recommended that the field trip technique be applied in learning to write at the high school level and equivalent by providing texts that have elements of local wisdom.

Abstract

Video as a learning medium is a form of innovation in the field of technology to improve the quality of education. The Rumah Belajar website provides learning video media as a form of government support for the quality of education in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of video-based learning media through the home study website on explanatory text material. This research is quantitative descriptive. The research sample was 14 students of class XI at SMA Negeri 3 Bengkulu City. The data collection technique was simple random sampling using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique in this study is descriptive statistics by testing the validity and reliability of the instrument. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed on a percentage basis to reveal indicators of student responses to video-based learning media. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of video as a learning media from (1) the material aspect 85.71% (very effective), (2) the suitability aspect of the video 94.28% (very effective), (3) the video experimental aspect 90% (very effective), and (4) usability aspect 89.64% (very effective). The results show an average of 89% including the very effective category.

Abstract

In the era of 4.0, podcasts have become a new and interesting medium of information. For this reason, this study aims to describe (1) the types of illocutionary discourse acts, (2) the types of illocutionary discourse acts in Podcasts on the Youtube channel, and (3) their advantages as material for pragmatic shows in universities. The research method uses descriptive qualitative methods with the help of pragmatic analysis. The source of information in this study is the discourse expressed by speakers and presenters on podcasts on the Jk-W and Nd-M Podcast Youtube channels. Information sorting method in this research is for nothing listening procedure (SBLC) and note-taking strategy. The examination instrument used in this research is the scientist himself (human instrument). Given the information check, three ends can be drawn. First, the types of illocutionary discourse acts found are assertive, mandated, commissive, and expressive and announcements. Second, the elements of illocutionary discourse acts found are serious, beautiful, fun, and problematic. Third, the thing that arises because of this exam is through teaching materials that can be used as pragmatic learning in higher education.

Abstract

One type of self-potential creation and changes in students' mentality and behavior must be made possible through an instructive cycle. Character education is a course of doing students' requests to become people of truly good character regarding heart, mind, body, feelings, and goals. The reason for this study is to work on the nature of execution and learning outcomes that lead to the achievement of student character development through learning to write Indonesian. This kind of examination differs subjectively, by describing, recording, endlessly interpreting how the positive side of character education is depicted in the basic characters in Shion Miura's shrewd Merakit Kapal and Andrea Hirata's original Padang Bulan novel. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive method by examining the educational value documents of the main characters in the novel Merakit Kapal by Shion Miura and the novel Padang Bulan by Andrea Hirata and examines their relevance to literary learning in high school. The value of character education depicted in the main character of the novel Merakit Kapal combines the strengths of the original characters in the form of being trained, brave, intelligent, caring, independent, shy, gentle, beautiful, focused, and socially caring. Meanwhile, the value of character education depicted in the main character Padang Bulan by Andrea Hirata includes personal strengths that are firm, honest, brave, fair, shrewd, obligation, autonomy, covering disgrace, majesty, love for the homeland, hard worker, and social considerations.

Abstract

The Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) as an assessment of the basic competencies needed by students will definitely experience changes in its application. This will certainly encourage alternatives for every educator in developing student self-capacity. For this situation, educators will certainly have their own perspective in relation to the information they have. The desired data actually wants to describe how the teachers understand in terms of AKM questions, especially understanding abilities. The focus of the deepening that will be completed is on the types of AKM questions which consist of various decisions, many complex decisions, matchmaking, short sections, and a description of the types of AKM reading ability questions that they have in their respective schools. The purpose of this study, among others, is to describe the teacher's perception of the AKM reading literacy question in junior high school. The research activity was directed at a junior high school in Tanah Sepenggal Lintas, Bungo Regency. Qualitative descriptive method with interview method will answer the purpose of this research. Information from this exploration is as a meeting directed at three educators from various subjects and skilled in their respective fields. This exploration uses a subjective methodology with a contextual investigative strategy. Information gathering strategy by utilizing meetings and documentation studies. Information investigation strategies used are decline, show, and end. As a result of this review, it can be assumed that the teacher's impression of the AKM reading skill in junior high school received a positive reaction. This has to be seen from the side effects of inside and outside interviews directed with educators.

Abstract

The low ability to write Japanese sentences for 4th semester students of Japanese Language Education FKIP UHAMKA and the shift in learning activities during the COVID-19 endemic period which was previously carried out online and now face-to-face learning has begun, educators must create creative learning. One of them is by trying to apply the station rotation type blended learning method. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to describe the improvement in the ability to write Japanese sentences using the application of the station rotation type blended learning model for 4th semester students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, FKIP UHAMKA. The study used a research design of One Group Pre-test Post-test Design, using the Quasi Experimental method. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of tests (pre test and post test) and questionnaires. Valid and reliable measurements on the pre-test and post-test were carried out by analysis of the validity test and reliability test by the validator. In the data analysis technique using the normality test stage, then testing the hypothesis in the form of a t test (Paired Simple t test) using SPSS 26. While data analysis on the questionnaire uses a Likert scale. Based on the results of calculations on research data, the results of the pre-test score obtained an average (mean) learning outcome of 51.13 while the post-test score obtained a mean value of 74.81. The results of the calculation of the Paired Simple t test with a significance level of 0.05, it is known that the value of Sig (2-tailed) is 0.001 <0.05, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results of the study stated that the station rotation type blended learning model can improve the ability to write Japanese sentences. While on the questionnaire data, the results of the questionnaire data analysis stated that all the questions were valid and the application of the station rotation type blended learning was interesting.

Abstract

This study aims to see the extent to which students' ability to write poetry using the acrostic method. This has a very important role in improving the ability to write poetry that has been traditionally taught. The procedure carried out in this research is classroom action research through descriptive analysis, by finding the average value of the classical activity score and the percentage of learning outcomes. While the quantitative analysis is used to analyze the value of the subject's learning outcomes. The instruments used in the research were observation sheets and tests. The learning process with this acrostic method emphasizes the context of understanding student analysis, but can also be used by emphasizing psychological aspects. The subjects in this study were 30 people with 14 male students and 16 female students. In this study, the lecturer made improvements to learning in Indonesian subjects about writing poetry through the acrostic method. Based on the results of the research conducted, there were several improvements in learning to write poetry with the acrostic method, namely 36.7% in the first cycle to 63.3% in the second cycle of the total number of students as many as 30 people and the level of equity of understanding also increased to 56.3%. That is, there has been a significant improvement in the acrostic method. Then, some of the improvement of students' abilities with the application of the acrostic method, as follows: 1) students are more critical in analyzing the images presented, 2) students are more aware of the application of the material in the form of examples of images presented, and 3) students are more daring to speak in expressing their opinions.
