Abstract

This paper examines the revitalization of Islamic education as a strategic initiative for the resurgence of the Muslim ummah, with a particular emphasis on the educational practices during the period of Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi. Adopting the framework proposed by Dr. Majid Irsan Al-Kilani, the study investigates the educational models applied in Islamic institutions of that era, which were instrumental in producing a generation marked by strong spirituality, intellectual excellence, and capable leadership. By incorporating insights from contemporary academic literature, this research demonstrates how historical educational strategies can be reinterpreted and adapted within modern educational systems to nurture individuals who are intellectually proficient, ethically sound, and actively involved in the ummah’s revival. The paper concludes by offering actionable recommendations for applying these educational models in current Islamic educational Keywords: Islamic education, revival of the ummah, Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi, historical education model, contemporary adaptation settings.

Abstract

This study aims to examine language shift and cultural transformation as an impact of globalization on the local identity of the Banjar community in Pandeglang. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis to understand how globalization affects language use and cultural practices in the community. The results show a significant language shift from Banjar to Indonesian and English, especially among the younger generation. This shift is influenced by educational factors, mass media, digital technology, and socio-economic needs that demand broader and more modern language skills. In addition, the cultural transformation that occurs reflects the community's adaptation to global influences through the incorporation of traditional and modern elements, thus forming a dynamic hybrid cultural identity. Nevertheless, the Banjar community continues to preserve the local language and culture through local language education, the implementation of modified customary traditions, and the use of digital technology for cultural documentation and promotion. This research confirms that globalization has a complex impact on local language and culture, threatening the sustainability of local identity but also opening opportunities for cultural innovation and adaptation. The implications of this research are important for the development of adaptive language and culture preservation strategies, as well as the strengthening of local identity in the global era. Future research prospects can focus on the development of a preservation model based on community participation and the utilization of digital technology as an effective medium for preserving local culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of various learning models in improving the ability to write short stories in students. Through a meta-analysis approach, this study collects and examines the results of relevant experimental and quasi-experimental research. The data collection technique was carried out by tracing scientific publications that met the inclusion criteria, namely focusing on the learning model, involving the ability to write short stories as a dependent variable, and presenting statistical data that allows the calculation of effect size. A total of 15 articles that met the criteria were studied using Cohen's formula d to determine the magnitude of the influence of each learning model. The results showed that the Self-Directed Learning learning model as a treatment had the largest effect size, which was 4.28 and was categorized as very large. Meanwhile, the study that had the smallest effect size was the one that used the Two Stay Two Stray model as a treatment to obtain an effect size of 0.26 with a medium category. Thus, it can be concluded that an interactive and student-centered learning model is more effective in developing short story writing skills.

Abstract

This article aims to provide a descriptive explanation of the efforts made by researchers to shape the religious character of students through integrated guidance and counseling services in elementary schools over the past five years. The method used is a literature study following a five-step process. These findings describe that in the past five years or from 2019 to 2024, the implementation of integrated guidance and counseling services for the formation of the religious character of elementary school students in Indonesia is still very minimal. This is evident in the small number of articles published in scientific journals. Efforts to shape the religious character of elementary school students can be carried out through three strategies for integrative guidance and counseling services, namely: specific strategies, teacher collaboration strategies, and family empowerment strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the motivation and perceptions of pre-service teacher education students in the English Language Education Program at Universitas Slamet Riyadi regarding the implementation of the Leadership Project in the form of developing interactive teaching media for English language learning. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach with 32 participants from the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through an online questionnaire using Google Forms, consisting of Likert scale items and open-ended questions, as well as weekly student reflections during the implementation at partner schools. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis, which involved data reduction, theme categorization, meaning interpretation, and descriptive narrative presentation. The findings revealed that 80% of respondents had high initial motivation, maintained positive perceptions before and after implementation, and rated the developed media as “useful” or “very useful” for learning. The types of media produced included educational board games, digital quizzes, e-magazines, ReadVenture, and AR Books, all of which effectively enhanced students’ cognitive and psychomotor engagement. The study recommends expanding the research subjects to other study programs, employing experimental designs to measure learning outcomes, and incorporating cost-benefit analysis to ensure the sustainability of interactive teaching media.

Abstract

Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS) is the sole official organization within schools. This organization plays a role in encouraging students to actively contribute to school activities. It serves as a platform for student development, aiming to nurture students' interests, talents, and potential. OSIS has an organizational structure consisting of the OSIS advisor, OSIS board members, and OSIS members. As an intra-school organization, the OSIS board carries significant responsibility in managing student activities, fostering a positive atmosphere, and setting an example for other students. To carry out these responsibilities effectively, OSIS board members need to possess a high level of emotional maturity, which is reflected in their ability to manage emotions, show empathy, and solve problems wisely. At SMAN 1 Colomadu, the OSIS board plays a crucial role in creating a conducive and productive school environment. As OSIS board members, students are required to have a sense of responsibility, leadership, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of emotional maturity and problem-solving skills possessed by the OSIS board members at SMAN 1 Colomadu. This research uses a qualitative approach through a systematic literature review, contextual analysis, and interviews. Interview data is analyzed using thematic analysis, where the researcher identifies patterns and relevant themes from the interview transcripts. The research results show that emotional maturity and problem-solving skills are two crucial aspects of OSIS leadership. The OSIS board members at SMAN 1 Colomadu Karanganyar have shown positive development, but there is still a need for improvement through continuous guidance and direct practice in real-life situations. By strengthening these two aspects, the performance of OSIS can become more effective and innovative.
