Abstract

Students as academicians must be able to develop science and technology through learning / research. Intlegencia Question (IQ) is one of the potentials that are different from one another. If this potential is managed properly, it will bring good learning outcomes. However, the reality in the guidance and counseling study program of FKIP PGRI University Palembang, the IQ test results show that there are students who have superior intelligence categories, their learning outcomes are lower than students with normal average categories. To examine in depth the relationship between IQ and learning outcomes, the research conducted research on the 2023-2024 batch of students. With the number of respondons 72 people. Using the Culture Fair Intlegency Test (CFIT) with GPA document data achieved by students in the first and second semesters of 2023 2024. The results showed the effect of IQ on learning outcomes (GPA) 1.7% while 98.3% was influenced by other factors. With a simple correlation showing a significant value of the independent variable 0.271 on the dependent variable 3.319. This it is illustrated that IQ has a significant correlation even though it is still low.

Abstract

Drug abuse is a significant health and social challenge. Relapse prevention is a key aspect of the recovery process. This quantitative study aims to examine the role of coping strategies (problem-focused and emotion-focused) and self-perception of relapse risk among 215 clients undergoing rehabilitation at the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces. Using an explanatory approach, data were collected through a Likert scale and analyzed using moderation regression with the bootstrapping method to address the issue of data non-normality. The results of the study produced surprising findings: contrary to the theoretical framework, both types of coping strategies (problem-focused and emotion-focused) were found to have a positive and significant effect on increasing the risk of relapse. This indicates that the intensity of coping strategy use is correlated with higher relapse vulnerability. Similarly, self-perception was found to have a positive and significant effect on relapse risk, indicating that unrealistic or overly optimistic self-perceptions may be a risk factor in this population. Furthermore, self-perception was not found to significantly moderate the relationship between coping strategies and relapse risk. Overall, these findings highlight that the coping strategies and self-perception present in BNN clients are likely to be maladaptive or unsupported by practical skills, so that factors that theoretically function as protectors actually act as predictors of relapse risk.

Abstract

Javanese culture, which emphasizes social harmony and politeness, often makes it difficult for individuals to express their opinions, which can ultimately affect their psychological well-being. This study aims to determine the relationship between assertiveness and six dimensions of psychological well-being in early adult Javanese individuals. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational design to examine the relationship between assertiveness and psychological well-being. There were 202 early adult Javanese individuals participating in this study, selected using incidental sampling technique. The measurement tools used were the Alberti and Emmons assertiveness scale (α = 0.812) and Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scale (α = 0.786). The results showed a significant positive relationship between assertiveness and all dimensions of psychological well-being, including (r = 0.571; p < 0.05), environmental mastery (r = 0.634; p < 0.05), personal growth (r = 0.675; p < 0.05), positive relationships with others (r = 0.684; p < 0.05), life purpose (r = 0.647; p < 0.05), and self-acceptance (r = 0.722; p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the higher an individual's level of assertiveness, the higher their psychological well-being. The results of this study emphasize the importance of developing assertiveness as an effort to improve psychological well-being in the Javanese cultural context

Abstract

Creativity is a crucial competence in vocational education as the workplace increasingly requires adaptive and innovative graduates from Vocational High Schools (SMK). Project-Based Learning (PjBL) has been widely recognized as a relevant instructional approach for fostering creativity through contextual and authentic projects, although research findings on its role in SMK remain fragmented. This article aims to systematically map existing studies on the role of PjBL in developing students’ creativity in vocational high schools using a scoping review approach. The review followed the Arksey and O’Malley framework and PRISMA-ScR guidelines, with literature searches conducted in Google Scholar, DOAJ, ResearchGate, and SINTA databases covering publications from 2015 to 2025. The results indicate that PjBL consistently contributes positively to students’ creativity, including creative thinking, problem-solving skills, collaboration, and the production of innovative products aligned with vocational fields. The effectiveness of PjBL implementation is influenced by contextual project design, teachers’ facilitative roles, availability of learning resources, and systemic school support. These findings highlight PjBL as a pedagogical approach that is highly relevant for fostering creativity in vocational education.
