Abstract

Aggressiveness among adolescents has become an increasingly complex psychosocial issue in line with the rising prevalence of online gaming addiction in the digital era. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Aggression Replacement Training (ART) in reducing aggressiveness among senior high school students with tendencies toward online gaming addiction. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed, using a mixed repeated-measures ANCOVA with online gaming addiction as a covariate. The participants consisted of 12 eleventh-grade students who exhibited high levels of aggressiveness and online gaming addiction at baseline. The results indicated that both interventions significantly reduced students’ aggressiveness from the pre-intervention phase to the post-intervention and follow-up stages. However, Motivational Interviewing demonstrated greater effectiveness than Aggression Replacement Training, as evidenced by larger, more consistent, and more sustained reductions in aggressiveness across all measurement points. In addition, a significant relationship was found between aggressiveness and online gaming addiction, underscoring the importance of controlling digital behavioral addiction when implementing psychological interventions targeting aggressive behavior. Based on these findings, the study concludes that Motivational Interviewing represents a more effective and contextually appropriate counseling approach for reducing aggressiveness associated with online gaming addiction among adolescents. This study contributes to the development of evidence-based guidance and counseling practices in school settings, particularly in addressing contemporary psychosocial challenges faced by adolescents in the digital era

Abstract

This study explores the meaningfulness of group counseling based on Transactional Analysis (TA) integrated with Padungku cultural values in enhancing students' social interaction skills. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design using the Hopkins model over two cycles. Participants were 10 tenth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through a social interaction skills instrument, process observations, and student evaluations of counseling services. Results indicated significant improvement, with students progressively shifting from "Low" to "Very High" categories of social interaction. Observations supported the quantitative data, showing increased participation, communication, and self-control, while student evaluations revealed positive perceptions of the intervention's meaningfulness. The discussion links these changes to the ego state mechanism in TA and reinforcement of local cultural values. The study concludes that this integrative approach is meaningful in developing culturally responsive school counseling practices.

Abstract

University students face increasing academic demands that may affect both their psychological well-being and academic success. One essential capacity that enables students to cope with such demands is academic resilience. This study aims to examine the relationship between growth mindset and academic resilience among university students and to investigate the mediating role of academic self-efficacy. A quantitative correlational design was employed, involving undergraduate students as research participants. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires measuring growth mindset, academic self-efficacy, and academic resilience, and were analyzed using regression and path analysis. The findings indicate that growth mindset is positively associated with academic self-efficacy, and academic self-efficacy is positively related to academic resilience. Furthermore, academic self-efficacy was found to significantly mediate the relationship between growth mindset and academic resilience. These results suggest that students’ academic resilience is shaped not only by their beliefs about the malleability of abilities but also by their confidence in managing academic challenges. This study highlights the importance of fostering growth mindset and academic self-efficacy to strengthen students’ academic resilience in higher education contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meninjau penelitian empiris mengenai inhibitory control pada anak dengan perkembangan tipikal usia 3-7 tahun. Penelitian menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pedoman PRISMA terhadap artikel yang dipublikasikan pada tahun 2021-2026. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa inhibitory control berkembang pesat pada masa kanak-kanak awal dan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, seperti aktivitas fisik terstruktur, permainan berbasis aturan, praktik pengasuhan, status sosial ekonomi, serta nutrisi. Beberapa intervensi seperti aktivitas motorik, gymnastics, music play, dan language play terbukti meningkatkan inhibitory control. Selain itu, kemampuan ini juga berkaitan dengan kesiapan sekolah, prestasi akademik, dan perkembangan sosial-emosional anak. Kesimpulannya, inhibitory control dapat ditingkatkan melalui pengalaman belajar yang terstruktur sejak usia dini.

Abstract

Abstract The adolescent mental health crisis (anxiety, depression, academic stress) is escalating. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), focusing on restructuring thought patterns and emotion regulation, is a primary solution. This study used a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to analyze eight Scopus articles. Results show CBT effectively reduces anxiety and depression symptoms and improves emotion regulation. CBT's flexibility is evident in various contexts, including digital interventions (C-CBT/ICBT). Abstract

Mahasiswa baru sering mengalami tantangan adaptasi pada awal perkuliahan yang dapat mengancam kesejahteraan psikologis dan kelangsungan studi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peranan self-efficacy dan beban akademik terhadap resiliensi mahasiswa baru pada semester awal. Desain penelitian korelasional dengan sampel purposive sebanyak 298 mahasiswa semester 1. Instrumen meliputi skala self-efficacy (25 item, α = .911), skala beban akademik (20 item, α = .901), dan skala resiliensi (24 item, α = .934). Analisis meliputi statistik deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, dan regresi linear berganda (OLS) dengan koreksi robust (Huber-White) untuk heteroskedastisitas. Hasil menunjukkan self-efficacy berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap resiliensi (B = 0.603, p < .001), sedangkan beban akademik berpengaruh negatif signifikan (B = -0.120, p = .045). Model menjelaskan 43.7% variasi resiliensi (Adjusted R² = .437). Implikasi praktis: penguatan self-efficacy dan strategi pengelolaan beban akademik perlu menjadi fokus program pendampingan mahasiswa baru.

Abstract

This research investigates how parental roles contribute to shaping discipline and achievement of santri (Islamic boarding school students) within a pesantren environment. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with homeroom teachers, musyrif (supervisors), 30 parents, and 30 santri at Muharrikunnajaah Islamic Education Center; direct observation; and documentation. Participants were selected via purposive sampling from diverse regional, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Data analysis employed an interactive model consisting of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with source triangulation ensuring validity. The findings reveal that parental roles significantly impact santri discipline and achievement. The pesantren facilitates this through regular monthly telephone calls, weekly letters containing progress reports and advice, and and food delivery twice a month. Of 30 santri studied, 15 who received authentic advice from parents, characterized by encouragement for worship discipline, learning motivation, and positive role modelling, demonstrated high discipline levels and superior achievement, with 15 ranking in top five of their classes and 5 winning academic and non-academic competitions. Conversely, 15 santri receiving inconsistent advice showed different outcomes: 6 received disciplinary warnings for violations, while others maintained discipline but achieved lower academic grades (70-80 versus 85-95). This research concludes that parental roles, facilitated by pesantren, are crucial in forming disciplined and achieving santri. The study contributes theoretically to understanding Islamic value transmission through families as harmonious ta'dib (Islamic education) and practically by encouraging family-pesantren collaboration to prevent moral degradation and support contemporary Islamic civilization advancement.

Abstract

Di tengah tuntutan kerja yang semakin kompleks, perilaku kerja guru madrasah tidak hanya didasarkan pada tugas formal semata, tetapi juga pada kesadaran untuk memberikan kontribusi lebih kepada institusi. Ketergantungan guru pada motivasi eksternal, seperti insentif tambahan, menimbulkan permasalahan di mana inisiatif dan perilaku sukarela tidak sepenuhnya optimal jika tidak didukung oleh imbalan materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Islamic Work Ethic (IWE) terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) dengan religiositas sebagai variabel media pada guru madrasah. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan 108 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik non-probability dengan jenis purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian dimodifikasi dari peneliti sebelumnya dengan nilai koefisien validitas 0,92-1,00 dan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,975 (IWE), 0,970 (OCB), serta 0,970 (religiositas). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan PROCESS Macro for SPSS versi 4.2 untuk menguji efek mediasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa IWE berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap OCB, serta religiositas berperan sebagai variabel mediasi dalam hubungan tersebut. Guru dengan tingkat religiositas tinggi cenderung menginternalisasi nilai-nilai IWE secara mendalam, sehingga mendorong perilaku tanggung jawab, tolong-menolong, dan komitmen di lingkungan Madrasah. Implikasi dari penelitian ini relevan bagi lembaga pendidikan Islam, khususnya Madrasah dalam penguatan IWE dan religiositas pada guru melalui pembinaan spiritual, serta penerapan nilai-nilai keislaman dalam budaya kerja Madrasah.

Abstract

Family moral values play a fundamental role in shaping altruistic behavior, particularly among Generation Z who grow up amid rapid social change and digital transformation. This study aims to examine the influence of family moral values on the formation of altruistic behavior among Generation Z. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation involving individuals born between 1997 and 2012. The findings indicate that moral values such as empathy, responsibility, and solidarity are primarily internalized through parental role modeling and everyday family interactions. However, the consistency of moral practice tends to decline due to external influences, especially peer groups and social media exposure. The study highlights that while the family remains the primary foundation of moral development, explicit and open moral communication is increasingly necessary to reinforce altruistic behavior. Overall, this research affirms the enduring importance of family-based moral education in fostering socially responsible and empathetic young generations in the digital era.

Abstract

Akhir masa kuliah merupakan masa transisi menuju dewasa yang seringkali menimbulkan stres dan kecemasan akan masa depan. Mahasiswa pada tahap ini seringkali merasa bingung dalam menentukan arah hidup dan menghadapi tuntutan baru setelah lulus. Dalam situasi ini, dukungan sosial keluarga berperan penting dalam memberikan kenyamanan, motivasi, dan kepercayaan diri untuk menghadapi perubahan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial keluarga dengan quarter-life crisis pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah 203 mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang diperoleh melalui accidental sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi Developmental Crisis Questionnaire (DCQ-12) (α = 0,650) untuk mengukur quarter-life crisis dan Social Support Scale (SSS) (α = 0,959) untuk mengukur dukungan sosial keluarga. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Product Moment Pearson setelah memenuhi asumsi normalitas dan linearitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan korelasi negatif yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial keluarga dan krisis seperempat hidup (r = -0,246; p < 0,05). Artinya, semakin tinggi tingkat dukungan sosial keluarga yang diterima mahasiswa tingkat akhir, semakin rendah tingkat krisis seperempat hidup yang dialami. Temuan ini menekankan peran penting keluarga dalam membantu mahasiswa menghadapi transisi menuju dewasa dengan kesiapan dan keseimbangan emosional yang lebih baik.
