Abstract

Flooding is one of the most frequent disasters occurring in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, causing not only physical damage but also psychological impacts on elementary school children. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of a psychosocial trauma healing learning model in improving learning interest among elementary school children after flooding in Perdamaian Village, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. A quasi-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The sample consisted of 50 flood-affected elementary school students selected through purposive sampling. The intervention was conducted for four weeks through play therapy, storytelling, art therapy, educational games, group reflection, and experiential learning activities. Data were collected using a learning interest questionnaire and observation sheets. Data were analyzed using a Paired Sample t-Test. The results showed that the mean learning interest score increased from 60.42±8.15 before intervention to 81.76±7.28 after intervention with p=0.01 (p<0.05). These findings indicate that the psychosocial trauma healing learning model effectively improves students' learning interest by restoring emotional well-being, enhancing feelings of safety, and creating an enjoyable learning environment. This model is recommended as an educational recovery strategy for elementary school children after disasters.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of a local wisdom-based English language learning model in enhancing junior high school students' literacy skills and cultural awareness. The study was motivated by the need to improve students' reading literacy while strengthening their understanding of local culture in English learning. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 60 grade VIII students who were selected through purposive sampling and divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received English learning activities integrating folklore, traditional poetry, local traditions, and community culture, while the control group received conventional learning. Data were collected using literacy tests, cultural awareness questionnaires, observation sheets, and documentation. The data were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the local wisdom-based English language learning model increased students' literacy skills with an N-Gain score of 0.71 in the high category and cultural awareness with an N-Gain score of 0.68 in the moderate-high category. These findings indicate that contextual learning materials rooted in students' local culture can create meaningful learning experiences, improve engagement, and strengthen students' cultural identity. Therefore, the model is effective and relevant for English language learning that integrates literacy development and cultural preservation.

Abstract

Sexual violence against girls is a serious violation of human rights that creates long-term physical, psychological, social, and legal consequences. In criminal justice practice, child victims may experience revictimization when investigation, prosecution, and trial procedures do not adequately consider their traumatic conditions. This study aims to analyze legal protection for girl victims of sexual violence based on Trauma-Informed Justice and to identify implementation gaps within the Indonesian criminal justice system. This research uses normative legal research with statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. Legal materials were collected through library research on legislation, official policy documents, international guidelines, and relevant scholarly literature. The findings show that Indonesia has strengthened victim protection through Law Number 12 of 2022 on Sexual Violence Crimes, Law Number 35 of 2014 on Child Protection, Law Number 11 of 2012 on the Juvenile Criminal Justice System, Law Number 3 of 2026 on Witness and Victim Protection, Government Regulation Number 30 of 2025, and related regulations. Nevertheless, implementation remains constrained by repeated questioning, limited trauma-informed facilities, uneven availability of psychologists and trained companions, and weak coordination among institutions. Therefore, trauma-informed legal protection requires child-friendly examination rooms, multidisciplinary assistance, confidentiality, prevention of direct confrontation with perpetrators, and comprehensive recovery services. Trauma-Informed Justice is essential to ensure that legal proceedings punish offenders while also protecting the dignity, safety, participation, and recovery of girl victims.

Abstract

Fikih learning plays a crucial role in developing students' understanding of Islamic jurisprudence and its application in everyday life. However, learning practices that remain predominantly theoretical and text oriented often hinder students from comprehending Fikih concepts within authentic real life contexts. This study aims to examine students' understanding of contextual Fikih through the utilization of ZEP Quiz, identify the factors contributing to the mismatch between conventional Fikih assessment models and the demands of digital era learning, and analyze the influence of ZEP Quiz based gamification on students' engagement. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design conducted at MAN 1 Situbondo, involving Fikih teachers and students as the research participants. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi structured interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed descriptively based on the instructional context. The findings indicate that ZEP Quiz facilitates students' understanding of contextual Fikih by providing an interactive and enjoyable learning experience. The incompatibility of existing assessment models is primarily attributed to the dominance of conventional teacher centered approaches that emphasize rote memorization, thereby limiting the development of students' critical thinking and practical application skills. Furthermore, ZEP Quiz based gamification was found to enhance students' participation, motivation, and classroom interaction throughout the learning process. These findings highlight that the integration of gamification offers an innovative alternative for fostering more relevant and contextual Fikih learning while supporting the development of students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor competencies in the digital era.

Abstract

Parental Attention is an Important Factor in Cultivating Student Interest in Learning in Grade III of SDN 105285 Tandem Hilir I, Academic Year 2025/2026. This study aims to determine how parental attention is an important factor in fostering student interest in learning in Grade III of SDN 105285 Tandem Hilir I in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The background of this study is based on the low interest in learning among some students, which is suspected to be related to a lack of parental attention in the child's education process at home. The instruments used were interviews and documentation of parental attention and student interest in learning. This is demonstrated by students' desire to learn. Therefore, it can be concluded that the greater the parental attention, the greater the students' interest in learning. The implications of this study are expected to serve as a consideration for parents and schools to enhance collaboration in providing optimal attention to support increased student interest in learning.

Abstract

Corruption is a crime that has serious impacts on governance and public trust, requiring an approach that integrates both legal and psychological perspectives. This study aims to analyze the effects of perceived criminal sanctions and moral disengagement on the intention to commit corruption. The research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design using a cross-sectional survey. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires measuring perceived criminal sanctions, moral disengagement, and the intention to commit corruption. The research instruments met the validity and reliability criteria, with Cronbach's Alpha values exceeding 0.70. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics through multiple linear regression or Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), depending on the characteristics of the data. The findings indicate that perceived criminal sanctions reduce the intention to commit corruption, whereas moral disengagement increases such intentions, and both variables simultaneously have a significant effect on corruptive intentions. This study concludes that corruption prevention should be strengthened through the enhancement of integrity, moral self-regulation, and anti-corruption education supported by a legal psychology approach. The findings are expected to serve as a basis for developing evidence-based corruption prevention policies in Indonesia.
