Abstract

Today’s technological advancements can be used to suit the demands of many areas of life, including education. Technology in education enables more flexible medium for learning. Limited laboratory facilities in vocational high schools hamper practicum activities that are very important to achieve the standard competence. Virtual laboratory-based learning media is needed to simulate theory and practicum activities without time and place restrictions. This research aims to develop and calculate the feasibility of virtual laboratory-based learning media in the form of guidebooks and job sheets for sensor and actuator subjects using the Wokwi platform, arduino simulation projects, and sensors. This research uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) with data collection through observation, interviews, validation by media experts and material experts, and trials to students. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. This study involving 77 students from class XI of Industrial Automation Engineering (Teknik Otomasi Industri/TOI) SMK PGRI Singosari showed results that the teaching materials achieved a combined validity value of 92.41% for the guidebook, 93.88% for the job sheet, and 93.20% for the Wokwi platform. The combined validity value ranges from 85.01% to 100% which indicates that the teaching materials are very valid and suitable for use. In conclusion, this virtual laboratory-based learning media supports the understanding of sensor and actuator subjects in vocational education. This learning media effectively overcomes the limitations of laboratory facilities while increasing student learning motivation.

Abstract

Utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) technology is very important in helping English. This research aims to explore the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in helping English Literature Study Program students complete their final projects at university level. The research design used is a qualitative approach. The population in this study were students from the English Literature Study Program who were completing their final projects, with a sample of 10 students selected purposively. Data was collected through interviews using Google Form which contained five questions related to the utilization of AI in the final project. Data analysis was carried out by referring to the points contained in the interviews to answer the research objectives. The research results show that AI really helps students in completing their final projects, especially in terms of finding ideas, understanding concepts, and improving English language skills. However, some students also realize the limitations of AI in terms of source validity and accuracy of information provided. The conclusion of this research is that the utilization of AI must be balanced with critical evaluation of the information and sources provided to ensure the quality and acceptability of students’ final projects. This research provides a deeper understanding of the role of AI in supporting students’ final assignment completion, as well as the importance of vigilance in verifying information obtained from this technology.

Abstract

Science is a combination of systematically arranged knowledge that discusses all matters of natural phenomena based on experiments, thoughts and observations carried out by a group of people. This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model on the results of learning science in terms of scientific attitudes in grade V elementary school students in Cluster I, Gianyar District. The type of research conducted in this study is a quasi-experimental study with a posttest only control group design. The population of this study were all grade V in Cluster I, Gianyar District, students consisting of 281 students. A total of 83 students were selected as samples determined by random sampling techniques. The experimental class consisted of 43 people and the control class consisted of 40 people. Data collection used the multiple-choice objective test method to measure students’ science learning outcomes and non-test methods in the form of instrument questionnaires to measure the level of scientific attitudes possessed by each student. Data were analyzed using ANOVA AB analysis. The results of the study showed the F coefficient between models (FA) is 107,964 with a significance level of 0.000 and the F coefficient of interaction between models and scientific attitudes (FAB) is 5,318 with a significance level of 0.026. So it can be concluded that the project based learning model has an influence on the outcomes of science learning as seen in from the scientific attitude of grade v elementary school students in Cluster I, Gianyar District.

Abstract

The low results of science learning are one of the things that underlie this research. This study aims to determine the effect of the inquiry model on science learning outcomes in terms of students’ self-regulated learning. The type of research used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with a posttest-only control group design. The population of the study is all fifth-grade students of SDN Gugus II Gianyar, totaling 180 students. Sampling used a random sampling technique and obtained two classes, with total 65 students. Data collection used test and non-test methods. Data were analyzed using ANOVA AB analysis. The results of the study showed: 1) The science learning outcomes of students who were taught with the inquiry model were better than those of students who were taught with the conventional model; 2) There was an interactive effect between the inquiry model and self-regulated learning on science learning outcomes; 3) In students with high self-regulated learning, there was a difference in science learning outcomes between students who were taught with the inquiry model and students who were taught with the conventional model; 4) In students with low self-regulated learning, there was a difference in science learning outcomes between students who were taught using the inquiry model and students who were taught using the conventional model. Based on the findings obtained, it can be concluded that the inquiry model has an effect on the results of science learning in terms of students’ self-regulated learning.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model supported by Augmented Reality (AR) media in enhancing critical thinking skills among Grade IV students at SDN 02 Kuto on the topic of plants as a source of life. It also explores how this method compares to the Problem-Based Learning model using PowerPoint media. The research aimed to determine whether Discovery Learning with AR can improve students’ critical thinking skills and engagement. The study also seeks to identify differences in critical thinking outcomes between the experimental and control groups. A quantitative approach was applied with a quasi-experimental design. The study involved 40 students, divided into an experimental group (20 students) using Discovery Learning with AR and a control group (20 students) using Problem-Based Learning with PowerPoint. Data collection utilized validated and reliable multiple-choice and essay tests, analyzed through N-Gain and independent t-tests. The findings showed a significant improvement in critical thinking skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. The N-Gain analysis indicated 66% effectiveness in the experimental group, categorized as moderately effective. The independent t-test revealed a significant difference in critical thinking aspects between the two groups. This study concludes that the Discovery Learning model supported by AR media effectively fosters critical thinking skills and engagement in learning. By integrating innovative teaching strategies with digital technologies, this approach addresses the challenges of 21st-century education and creates an interactive and enjoyable learning environment.

Abstract

Scouting extracurricular activities serve as a platform for character development, particularly in integrating Islamic values into students’ daily lives. This study aims to analyze how Islamic values are embedded in scouting activities at MTsN Serdang Bedagai and their role in shaping the Pancasila Student Profile. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method, data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. Key informants included the head of the madrasah, scout trainer teachers, and students actively participating in scouting. The data analysis process involved reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that scouting activities significantly contribute to the internalization of Islamic values, such as faith, discipline, leadership, responsibility, and cooperation. Additionally, scouting programs emphasize knowledge acquisition based on scouting principles, technical proficiency in drills like Kolone Tongkat, and mindset formation guided by the Dasa Darma Pramuka (Scout Code). Students are encouraged to apply Islamic teachings through discipline, respect, self-confidence, and fairness, aligning with the principles of the Pancasila Student Profile. To enhance the integration of Islamic values, this study suggests strengthening Islamic based scouting curricula, improving mentoring for instructors, and incorporating structured religious guidance in scouting sessions. Furthermore, integrating community engagement and utilizing digital platforms can enhance character development. These findings contribute to discussions on Islamic character education and provide insights for madrasahs seeking to implement extracurricular activities as a means of fostering holistic student development.
