Abstract

Inclusive education plays an important role in ensuring that all children, including children with special needs, have equal rights in education. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of learning management for children with disabilities, focusing on the planning, implementation and evaluation stages of learning. The approach used was qualitative with descriptive methods, involving principals, teachers and educators as participants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations and documentation studies, which were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that learning planning for children with disabilities was systematically organized through initial assessment, flexible curriculum development and selection of appropriate learning methods. In the implementation stage, teachers apply strategies such as the multisensory approach, experiential learning and special assistance. Evaluation is conducted regularly through formative and summative assessments to measure the effectiveness of learning in students' academic, social and emotional aspects. Supporting factors in inclusive education include supportive policies, teacher competence, and parental and community involvement. However, there are barriers such as limited resources, lack of specialist educators and lack of supporting facilities. This study recommends increasing training for educators, providing more adequate facilities and strengthening cooperation between schools, government and communities to support optimal inclusive education. With the right strategies, learning for children with disabilities can be more effective and sustainable.

Abstract

Cultural literacy is an essential competence for students in the 21st century to navigate globalization while preserving regional cultural identity. The lack of students’ knowledge and concern for local culture can weaken national character values. This study aims to analyze the cultural literacy skills of primary school students in science, environment, technology, and society (IPAS) learning, focusing on conceptual understanding, knowledge of one’s own culture, and the implementation of cultural awareness. This research employed a quantitative descriptive method involving 30 fifth-grade primary school students as research subjects. Data were collected through tests and questionnaires, then analyzed using SPSS version 26 to determine the mean, maximum-minimum values, validity, reliability, and normality tests. The results showed that all instruments were valid and reliable, and the data were normally distributed. Based on the average results, 60% of students were categorized as moderate and 40% as low in their cultural literacy skills through the test, while the questionnaire results showed 66.7% moderate and 33.3% low. These findings suggest the importance of developing adaptive, culture-based learning models to enhance cultural literacy skills among primary school students.

Abstract

Many students face challenges in engaging with social studies due to the traditional teaching methods that emphasize memorization rather than active learning. This study aims to explore the application of project-based learning and problem-based learning models in improving social studies learning outcomes in elementary schools, as well as to analyze the impact of student activity levels on their learning outcomes. The study focuses on addressing the issue of low student engagement and its effect on learning performance. The research uses a quantitative approach with a 2x2 factorial experimental design, involving two experimental groups: students learning with the project-based learning model and students learning with the problem-based learning model. Data were collected through essay-type learning outcome tests and questionnaires to measure student activity levels. The results show that the project-based learning model has a positive impact on students' learning outcomes, with an average score higher than that of the problem-based learning model. Additionally, student activity level also affects learning outcomes, with more active students showing better results. Two-way ANOVA testing revealed significant effects of the learning model, student activity, and their interaction on students' social studies learning outcomes. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the project-based learning model is effective in improving student activity and learning outcomes.
