Abstract

Technological development is constantly advancing and keeps taking a bigger role in society, including in education. This development has taken interactive whiteboards to be used in the elementary classroom setting at present. The use of interactive whiteboards correctly can support the teaching-learning process in classrooms. This study was conducted to explore how teachers use the interactive whiteboard in the classrooms, what are the challenges encountered by teachers in teaching English using the interactive whiteboards, and what strategies teachers apply in overcoming those challenges. The study also investigated the teachers’ perception of interactive whiteboards. The research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive research involving four English teachers, students of grades one until six, also the principal of an elementary school. The data were obtained through observations, teachers’ questionnaires, a principal interview, and students’ survey. The technique for analyzing data was data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The study's results showed that teachers used interactive whiteboards to access educational software, such as the ones from the book publisher, Class Dojo, Edunav, and YouTube. Teachers also used interactive whiteboards as projectors to open the slides or presentations made by teachers, such as in PowerPoint, Ms.Word, and flipcharts. The main impacts of the lessons were increased use of the Internet, software, and visual resources as part of the lessons. There are some challenges during the implementation of interactive whiteboards in the classrooms, but teachers could apply some strategies to overcome them. The teachers and students perceived positively the use of interactive whiteboards in the classrooms. Teachers also had positive perceptions in terms of developing lessons using IWB, resources from the internet, and technical support. The negative responses were related to time, collaboration, and professional development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of Islamic cultural history learning using discovery learning strategies. The form and type of this research is field research using descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data sources are in the form of primary data and secondary data. The primary data are religious teachers who have used discovery learning strategies in learning the history of Islamic culture, while the secondary data are the Principals and Administration of MAM Lakitan. The data analysis technique that the writer uses is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Learning the history of Islamic culture using the Discovery Learning Strategy Religion teachers are required to design an implementation plan before teaching by the Principal, the implementation of learning can bring maximum results, but Religion teachers experience problems in implementing learning so Religion teachers must try to overcome the obstacles encountered in learning cultural history Islam by using the Discovery Learning Strategy in class X IPS at MAM Lakitan.

Abstract

Al-Qur'anul Karim, the Muslim holy book, for example, is described as a "hudan" which is loaded with various guidelines to be a good caliph on earth. In order to truly utilize the content of the Qur'an in relation to complex situations that have arisen, occurred, or have not yet occurred, Muslims must study the Qur'an themselves to follow these recommendations. Abstract

The character value of caring for the environment in the world of education aims to make students have the knowledge and awareness that each individual has a role with the surrounding environment and can create change. This study aims to find out how to instill the character values of caring for the environment and responsibility in SD Inpres Tamalanrea 3 Makassar students. This research method uses descriptive research with a qualitative observational approach. The results of the study showed that by making direct observations about teachers instilling environmental care character education in class, in addition to direct observations, researchers also conducted interviews with teachers about teachers implementing environmental care character education values in class III SD Inpres Tamalanrea 3 Makassar.

Abstract

Indonesian Migrant Workers as foreign exchange earners for the country, often face problems both when leaving and working in destination countries, and after returning home. The problems faced are often related to resilience in terms of family life, or family resilience. One of the steps taken by BP2MI to help build family resilience is through program empowerment. Departing from this situation, research is directed at identifying empowerment programs using the concept of human capital and community empowerment, and analyzing the concept of family resilience. The approach used is qualitative and the data collection technique is interviews conducted with migrant workers and BP2MI representatives after carrying out a document study. The results of the study show that from the people centered, participatory, sustainable aspect, there are weaknesses that arise, namely not fully involving all existing elements, which can affect sustainability in the aspect of family and community resilience. From the aspect of human capital, there are still weaknesses in individual motivation, so BP2MI needs to pay attention. And from the aspect of family resilience, in terms of independence it has not been built as seen in the very high dependency of the training participants on the institution, both in terms of capital and operational activities.

Abstract

The research method used in this article is a qualitative research method, which means the author only uses journal theory as a reference in writing this article. The purpose of this study was to find out how the influence of the digital era on the formation of children's character in elementary schools. Based on the research results, the authors found that in this digital era it greatly influences the formation of children's character which has a negative impact, especially on elementary school children because it makes the child addicted to playing gadgets and accessing the internet so that he spends his time just playing gadgets. This causes the insufficiency in carrying out other activities such as learning and playing with peers and also has an impact on children's growth and development and visual impairment.

Abstract

The decline of the Islamic religion is a new phase in the change of Human Resources. During the Jahiliyya period, the condition of society was not yet developed and was very bad, both in interactions with the Creator and in interactions with other people. Humans are not only determined by aspects of skills, abilities or physical strength, but must have standards as well as education or levels of knowledge, experience and attitudes or values. The complexity of problems in education, causing educational problems and the need to improve the quality of human resources must ensure that educational problems remain attractive to them in the hope that alternative solutions will emerge through Islamic education in improving the quality of human resources.

Abstract

Identifying the teacher's initiatives to foster students' interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence during the learning process was the aim of this study. This study was done in a high school and used a qualitative approach to gather descriptive information from people's written or spoken words and observable behavior. Data gathered via observation, interviewing subjects, and documenting events. The results of the study show that teachers make learning plans in the form of syllabi and lesson plans, and that they use the right methods, approaches, and media when teaching to foster students' development of their interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligences. The techniques, approaches, and media employed are extremely effective and can aid in students' growth of their interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence in learning.

Abstract

The Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia is a government institution that has an important role in the criminal justice process which has the main task of carrying out prosecutions and other authorities that it has as one of the law enforcers. In this research, the focus that will be the main topic is the role of prosecutors in the criminal justice system in Indonesia. Prosecutors are civil servants with functional positions who have specificity and carry out their duties, functions and authorities based on the law. When he enters the trial, the Prosecutor switches status to become a Public Prosecutor (as long as he has been given a task order as a Public Prosecutor in a case). The Public Prosecutor is a Prosecutor who has been given the authority to prosecute and carry out decisions up to the Judge's decision and other matters that have been regulated in the law. This study uses a juridical normative research type by linking the subject matter to the main topic in this research, namely the role of the prosecutor in law enforcement in the criminal justice system in Indonesia.
