Abstract

This research deals with English teacher’s types of questions and students’ responses in online classroom interaction of senior high school. The research was conducted to identify types of questions used by English teacher in teaching English and to know the types of responses used by students in answering teachers’ questions. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Babalan, Pangkalan Brandan. This research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method. The data of this research were questions from the teacher to be analyzed based on Thompson and Thornburry theory and students’ responses to be analyzed based on Moskowitz theory. This research was carried out by observing and taking video recording of teaching and learning process. The observations were conducted in eleventh grade students of MIPA 2 in two weeks of lessons. The research findings showed that English teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Babalan used five types of questions, display questions, referential questions, comprehension check, clarification request, confirmation check. The percentage dealing with, display questions 50 times (33.33%), referential questions 31 times (20.66%), comprehension check 34 times (22.66%), clarification request 3 times (2%), and confirmation check 32 times (21.33%). It means that the most dominant type of questions used by the teacher was display question 50 times (33.33%). For students’ types of responses, the research findings showed that the students used five types of responses, students response-specific, open-ended or initiated, confusion, laughter, and silence. The percentage dealing with response-specific 34 times (39.08%), open-ended or initiated 20 times (22.98%), confusion 5 times (5.74%), once laughter (1.15%), and silence 27 times (31.03%). It means the most dominant type of response used students was response-specific 34 times (39.08%).

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the PBL model studied from students' critical reasoning in science learning in class IV SDN 03 South Pontianak, the planning of the PBL model studied from students' critical reasoning, the implementation of the PBL model studied from students' critical reasoning and the obstacles faced by teachers in implementing the PBL model studied from students' critical reasoning in science learning. Using qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data sources are observation, interviews and documentation. Data collection techniques are observation and interviews. Research results in planning the PBL model must be prepared effectively, otherwise learning in the classroom will not run well resulting in students not being interested and focused. The implementation of science and science learning which consists of preliminary, core and closing activities, critical reasoning activities have been carried out quite well, the obstacles faced by teachers are adjusting teaching media to the material, ineffective implementation time, less conducive classroom conditions, students who are still unstable and busy themselves, not all materials can use PBL, they have to adapt to the material, students find it difficult to express opinions and are not confident.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce a Flip PDF-assisted learning e-module product for the science and science subject material on how the shape of objects changes in class IV SDN 03 South Pontianak that is valid and feasible. The method applied is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. Quantitative data was obtained from the results of product evaluations from validators and the results of students filling out feasibility questionnaires for learning e-modules assisted by flip PDF. Qualitative data was obtained from suggestions from validators, teachers and students. The research instrument was in the form of a questionnaire. Results based on the level of validation of the PDF flip-assisted learning e-module in the science and sciences subject material on how the shape of objects changes in class IV SDN 03 South Pontianak based on the material aspect obtained an average of 4.85 with the category "very valid" and the design aspect obtained an average 4.89 in the "very valid" category and the language aspect obtained an average of 4.75 in the "very valid" category. Results Level of feasibility of Flip PDF-assisted learning e-module in the science and science subject material on how the shape of objects changes in class IV SDN 03 South Pontianak students obtained an average of 3.31 in the very appropriate category and teachers obtained an average of 4.73 in the "very appropriate" category.

Abstract

Learning Videos are one of the media that teachers can use to help achieve effectiveness and efficiency in learning. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of learning to make blouse designs according to the collage concept, to describe students responses to the application of learning video media for making blouse designs according to the collage concept, and to describe student learning outcomes after the application of learning video media. This is pre-experimental research with quantitative descriptive data analysis. The research subjects were 12 students of class XI Fashion Design at SMK Cendika Bangsa Malang. The data collection methods used are observation, questionnaires and assessment tests. The results of the research showed that the application of learning using video media was in a good category, the result of student observations were in the very good category, and the student responses were in the very good category. Student learning outcomes using video tutorial media reach completeness in the complete category.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a central role in shaping student character in Indonesia, especially as a country with the largest Muslim population in the world. The focus of this study is Qur'anic learning at An-Nafii Qur'anic Education Park (TPQ), where the Qur'an is not only considered as a guide to life, but also the main foundation of daily life. Quantitative methods were used with data from observations and questionnaires of 80 students of SD Negeri 1 Tolowe Ponre, who are also students of TPQ An-Nafii. The results showed a positive and significant impact of learning at TPQ An-Nafii on improving students' PAI learning outcomes. The T-test showed a significance (Sig) of 0.000 (<0.05), confirming the effect of TPQ Learning on learning outcomes. The R test indicates that 83.3% of the variability of learning outcomes is influenced by TPQ learning. F ANOVA test shows significance (0.000 < 0.05), confirming the significant effect of TPQ learning on PAI learning outcomes. The conclusion states that TPQ An-Nafii makes a positive and significant contribution to students' PAI learning outcomes. The implication is that learning the Qur'an at TPQ not only improves religious understanding but also supports students' academic achievement in formal schools. The recommendations of this study can be the basis for developing effective PAI learning methods and can be adopted by other Islamic education institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

Literacy for early childhood is basically the ability to understand, process and communicate information received through reading and writing activities. Literacy skills begin when early childhood are able to recognize various pictorial symbols, writing, numbers and instructions, until they are able to string letters into words, sentences and communicate. The existing learning problem is that teachers lack understanding and creativity in choosing learning media to stimulate the ability to read, write and speak in early childhood. One way that can be used is by playing letter cards. Through the medium of letter cards, it is hoped that young children can provide added value to improve literacy skills in reading, writing and speaking and can influence young children's interest in learning. The research aims to improve literacy skills in reading, writing and speaking which was carried out in group B of SKS Kindergarten. Using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method carried out in cycles and collecting data on the results of measurement variables, the results up to cycle 2 show that the letter card game has improved the literacy skills of early childhood in reading, writing and speaking very well and achieved targets as expected.

Abstract

In order to create an organizational communication climate, this research seeks to identify leadership philosophies and organizational communication patterns. A post-positivistic paradigm was employed in this study. A case study methodology was employed in this investigation. Purposive sampling was the method employed in this study. Pattern matching is the method of data analysis applied in this study. The study revealed that the school has successfully adopted an organizational communication strategy by using a high-quality communication pattern. This approach is supported by several open and seamless organizational communication channels, including horizontal, upward, diagonal, and downward communication. Apart from that, the organizational culture implemented also supports smooth communication within the division. The leadership style applied is also a combination of democratic, transactional, and transformational leadership styles. The organizational communication climate established at the school has also proven to be supportive, facilitating open, smooth, and honest communication between various levels and divisions in the school. This contributes to improving the quality of work and comfort of interaction for division members.
