Abstract

Mathematics is seen as learning material needed to solve problems in life. Learning mathematics can improve students' ability to think logically. Logical thinking means a child's ability to think rationally, by utilizing logical abilities, so that they can think logically. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. This research to describe the ability to think logically in solving mathematical problems in high school students. The subjects of this research were three students, namely students with high, medium and low problem solving abilities from class XI-J of SMAN 6 Madiun for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research instrument consists of test questions and interview guidelines. The results of research show that in solving mathematical problems: high ability subjects show the characteristics of logical thinking ability, able to think coherently, can provide arguments in each step of problem solving, able to provide appropriate conclusions; moderately capable subjects show characteristics of logical thinking ability, able to think coherently, able to provide arguments in each step of problem solving, able to provide conclusions but are not precise; Low ability subjects show characteristics of logical thinking ability, able to think coherently, unable to provide arguments in each step of problem solving, unable to provide conclusions.

Abstract

A teaching module is a guide or guide for teachers to carry out activities in the classroom. The independent curriculum teaching module is a tool to see the achievement of student learning outcomes. However, there are still teachers who do not comply with the writing of modules according to the Ministry of Education and Culture's teaching module writing guidelines. This research aims to describe the structure of writing teaching modules in the PMM application. The research method will be carried out using a descriptive qualitative method whose data is taken from the English teaching module phase D which has implemented the independent curriculum in the PMM application. Then the data will be grouped according to theory and analyzed, then it will be adjusted to the structural writing of the Ministry of Education and Culture's independent curriculum teaching modules. In preparing teaching modules, many teachers experience difficulties in determining the learning model and writing the syntax at the core of the learning activity. After conducting analysis on the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM), it can be concluded that around 70% of errors were found in determining the TP (Learning Objectives) of the 15 phase D English language teaching modules and 80% of errors were found in determining the learning model on the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM).

Abstract

Education is an effort to improve individual quality. This individual improvement process must be accompanied by good preparation and implementation. Therefore, education must be supported by the best components in order to achieve educational goals. Education is an effort carried out by humans for thousands of years. In fact, education took place before humans knew how to read and write. This business aims to improve the comfort of human life. Since thousands of years until now, what can never be separated from the educational process are students. A learning process can be carried out without a (human) teacher. However, it is impossible for the learning process to not have a student. This indicates that learning is basically centered on humans as students. Human readiness to discover knowledge or truth is the force that brings us to a civilization that continues to progress and develop. Nowadays, education must remain serious in providing provisions for humans. Seeing this urgency, there is a gap that we can develop together for students at the junior high school level. In the early stages, teenagers want to determine their identity. The purpose of this research is to examine educational objectives, curriculum, educators, students, methods and evaluation. The method used is a qualitative method with a literature review approach. Data sources were obtained from several books and journals. Research findings show that educational components are elements that will support the achievement of educational goals.

Abstract

This research discusses how the transitivity process was realized in Shinzou Abe's speech at the 33rd "Singapore Lecture", using transitivity process analysis, it can be seen how Shinzo Abe as the leader of the country shows his attitude verbally in the international sphere, especially in this case countries ASEAN. Researchers used speech data taken from the archives of the Japanese Ministry of Relations, which was then broken down into sentences for analysis to find the dominant transitivity process. As a result, 223 data were obtained which were dominated by the behavioral transitivity process, amounting to 83 data or 37.22%. The discussion which was the main point in Shinzo Abe's speech was more focused on building cooperation and good relations with ASEAN countries.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the presence of mistakes in solving Algebraic Structure problems, particularly on the topic of Ring. The purpose of this research is to analyze the mistakes made in solving Algebraic Structure problems, specifically on the topic of Ring at Universitas Negeri Medan. Mistakes are classified into conceptual errors, data usage errors, language interpretation errors, technical errors, and conclusion errors. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, involving three sixth-semester students of the academic year 2024/2025 with prior knowledge of the Ring topic. Data collection techniques included tests and open questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction and categorization of error types. The results show various errors such as conceptual errors, technical errors, and conclusion errors. This research can serve as a recommendation for educators to be more proactive in assisting students in understanding the material through more effective and engaging teaching methods, as well as providing more in-depth training.

Abstract

This study is a form of classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. The process comprises four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The objective of this classroom action research is to assess the enhancement of students' mathematical communication abilities and interpersonal intelligence through the implementation of the peer tutoring cooperative learning paradigm. The study included a sample of 30 students from Class XI in the Machining Engineering Department at SMK Negeri 2 Medan. The data collection methods employed encompassed observation, questionnaires, and tests. The study's findings demonstrated enhanced mathematical communication abilities and interpersonal intelligence among the pupils. Evidence of this can be observed in the notable improvement of students' mathematical communication skills and interpersonal intelligence. Specifically, there was a significant rise in written mathematical communication skills from 20% to 66.6%, and a substantial increase in students' interpersonal intelligence from 43.3% to 86.6%. The findings suggest that the adoption of the peer tutoring cooperative learning model is successful in improving students' proficiency in mathematical communication and interpersonal intelligence at SMK Negeri 2 Medan. Enhancing mathematical communication skills and interpersonal intelligence within an educational environment can contribute to the overall objective of training students to be proficient and capable professionals in real-world situations.

Abstract

Through this research, we aim to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of implementing the Talking Stick Learning model on the learning outcomes of class VII students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) using qualitative and quantitative analysis. Classroom Action Research is a research method carried out by teachers in the classroom as part of their role as educators. This research was carried out at SMPN 3 Madiun City, Mangunharjo District, Madiun City in class VII. The data collection technique in this research is through observation sheets and posttest test questions. This research uses Kurt Lewin's cycle model which is carried out in two cycles. The data analysis used is qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The qualitative analysis used is the Miles and Hubberman model which includes: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification data. Based on the results of research regarding improving learning outcomes for class VII students using the Talking Stick Learning model at SMPN 3 Madiun, Kec. Mangunharjo can conclude that there has been an increase in learning outcomes obtained by elementary school students. This is proven by the results of the percentage of completeness scores in the pre-cycle of only 18.75%, where the percentage of completeness is because the teacher has not implemented the Talking Stick Learning model. Then, after the teacher implemented the model and media, there was an increase in learning outcomes, namely in cycle I with a completion percentage of 75.00%. And in cycle II there was an increase again with a percentage of 87.50%. From the results carried out, it is known that the Talking Stick Learning model has an impact on student learning outcomes at SMPN 3 Madiun.
