Abstract

This study examines the effect of YouTube video-based learning media on students at SMA Muhammadiyah Tenggarong. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a significant effect on improving students' English language skills. In this study, the author conducted quantitative research using the pre-experimental design method, which only involved one group of classes that were given a pre-test and post-test. The sample class consisted of twenty-one students. The class was taught to speak by using YouTube videos. As a result, YouTube video-based learning proved to be an effective pedagogical tool to improve students' speaking competence in social situations.

Abstract

he focus of this research is how human resource management improves the foreign language competence of students at Madrasah Diniyah Muallimin Pondok Zainul Hasanain Genggong Pajarakan, and the implementation in realizing that students develop foreign language competence. Meanwhile, the aim is to describe the planning, implementation and evaluation process of human resource management in developing foreign language competency at the Zainul Hasanain Genggong Pajarakan Probolinggo Islamic boarding school. This research uses a qualitative approach, with descriptive methods. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the findings was carried out by means of discussions with colleagues (co-workers) and triangulation techniques that used triangulation of sources and methods. The results of this research were that the process of planning, implementing and evaluating human resource management in foreign language development at the Zainul Hasanain Islamic boarding school, in carry it out through management functions, namely planning, implementing and evaluating human resource management in developing foreign languages at the Zainul Hasanain Genggong Pajarakan Islamic boarding school, Probolinggo.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how Twitter can enhance students' critical thinking abilities in higher education, what factors influence it, and what way it is used to see if it improves critical thinking. This study examined the relationship between Twitter and critical thinking using mixed quantitative and qualitative method. This research was conducted in Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur, with the subject being the Twitter users of eighth semester and meet the criteria such as having a Twitter app and an account, using Twitter for more than a year, and have interacting with posts there. While multiple choice tests and questionnaires were used to collect quantitative data, interview was used to gather qualitative data. The results of the research showed that Twitter can help users develop their critical thinking skills with the ease of getting information and being a forum for effective discussion. Twitter is also a social media that is easy to access and has features that really help spread a wider perspective to help the learning process.

Abstract

Awareness and the development of entrepreneurial skills among the younger generation or productive age are essential to achieve an improvement in the quality of human resources. Entrepreneurship development is directed towards creating changes in life, based on strengthening the perspective of entrepreneurship education, which can optimize the skills, abilities, and competencies possessed. The research findings indicate that entrepreneurship development by students at STIKes Muhammadiyah Aceh is more focused on earning additional income, assisting parents, and developing their existing skills. Entrepreneurship education has a positive influence by providing knowledge for innovation, becoming more structured, and understanding marketing strategies as well as interactions with customers. To encourage entrepreneurship growth among students, an active role from the university is required in organizing innovative and responsible entrepreneurship education. Universities can provide motivation for students to dare to start or develop their own businesses.

Abstract

Tingkat perilaku prokrastinasi akademik siswa yang semakin tinggi menjadikan momok kekhawatiran tersendiri baik bagi diri siswa maupun pihak sekolah. Permasalahan tersebut melatarbelakangi penelitian ini yang bertujuan agar mendapati pengaruh dari layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan menggunakan teknik Self Management terhadap prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik True Eksperimen Design dengan menggunakan metode pre-test post-test control group design. Pada penelitian ini populasi yang digunakan yaitu siwa kelas XI pada SMK N 10 Semarang. Sedangkan sampel dipilih satu kelas secara acak dari seluruh kelas mulai dari XI KKB 1 sampai dengan XI TPK 2, terkecuali kelas XI NKN 2 yang digunakan sebagai kelas untuk try out/uji coba skala. Try Out kuesioner skala likert dilakukan pada 31 siswa. Sedangkan sampel penelitian memakai teknik cluster random sampling, dimana terdapat 36 siswa terbagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu sejumlah 18 siswa masuk kedalam kelompok eksperimen serta 18 siswa merupakan kelompok kontrol. Hasil olah data analisis uji t dilakukan melalui aplikasi SPSS 26 yang memperoleh nilai signifikasi (2-tailed) sebanyak 0,01. Hal tersebut memperlihatkan bahwasannya nilai signifikasi (2-tailed) < 0,05. Berdasarkan perhitungan tersebut artinya hipotesisnya adalah "Ada pengaruh yang relevan pada prokrastinasi akademik siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 10 Semarang pasca mendapatkan treatment layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan menggunakan teknik Self Management"

Abstract

Abstract Problem solving ability is one of the abilities that students must have in learning mathematics. Teachers can make an effort to improve mathematical problem-solving abilities by using a learning model that encourages students to develop problem-solving abilities. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the problem-based learning model for improving the mathematical problem-solving abilities of class XI TKL SMK Negeri 4 Semarang for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used in this research is an experimental method with a pre-experimental design type. The population in this study was all class XI TKL. The sample in this research was class XI TKL 1 which was selected using purposive sampling. This research uses pretest and posttest data. The results of the research are that the problem-based learning model assisted by interactive LKPD is effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving abilities which can be shown from: 1) Students' mathematical problem solving abilities are better after using the problem based learning model assisted by interactive LKPD, 2)students' completeness is fulfilled, 3) students' classical learning completeness is 88.,56%, 4) the increase in students' mathematical problem-solving abilities increased by 0.6 in the medium category. Abstrak Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki siswa dalam belajar matematika. Salah satu upaya yang bisa dilakukan guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yaitu menggunakan model pembelajaran yang mendorong siswa mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas model pembelajaran problem baased learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas XI TKL SMK Negeri 4 Semarang Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan jenis pre ekperimental desain. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh kelas XI TKL. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu kelas XI TKL 1 yang dipilih dengan Teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan data pretest dan posttest. Hasil dari penelitan yaitu model problem baased learning berbantuan LKPD Interaktif efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matemais siswa yang dapat ditunjukkan dari: 1) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa lebih baik setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning berbantuan LKPD interaktif, 2) ketuntasan belajar individual siswa terpenuhi, 3) ketuntasan belajar klasikal siswa sebesar 88,56%, 4) peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa meningkat sebesar 0,6 dalam kategori sedang.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the effect of applying the SAS (Synthetic Structural Analytical) method on the beginning reading ability of class I students at State Elementary School 13 East Pontianak. The method used in this research is an experimental method with a quasi experimental design. The population in this study was all class I students, totaling 55 students. Sampling used nonprobability sampling techniques and obtained a sample of class IA totaling 27 students as the control class and class IB totaling 28 students as the experimental class. Data collection techniques use measurement techniques and direct observation techniques. The data collection tool used was an oral initial reading test. Based on data analysis, the average posttest score for the experimental class = 77.64 and the average posttest score for the control class = 73.02. The results of hypothesis testing using the t-test with the polled variance formula obtained tcount of 1.329 and ttable (α = 5% and dk = 28 + 28 – 2 = 54) of 0.6837, which means tcount > ttable, then Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the effect size (ES) calculation, the ES value = 0.42. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the SAS (Synthetic Structural Analytical) method has an influence on the initial reading ability of class I students at State Elementary School 13 East Pontianak by 42%.

Abstract

This study is motivated by problems in the development of children aged 4-5 years where there are problems in early childhood institutions in the aspect of children's fine motor development, namely children are less able to coordinate their hands and eyes well, therefore researchers conducted MAPOLI merging activities on the fine motor skills of children aged 4-5 years with the aim of knowing the effect of these activities on children's fine motor development, so that children's fine motor problems can be resolved. This study uses a quantitative approach with a type of Quasi Experimental research with a nonequivalent control group design. The samples used in this study in two institutions namely Dharma Wanita Kindergarten and Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Surabaya Kindergarten where each sample amounted to 10 children. Data collection techniques using observation with data analysis techniques using the Mann-Whithey U Test formula. Based on the research that has been done, it is obtained significant results where this MAPOLI tying activity can affect children's fine motor skills because the control class has 7 children who have increased while the experimental class of 10 children has an overall increase, namely children are able to coordinate their hands, able to grasp, able to grasp and complete it independently with a fairly fast time.

Abstract

The aim of learning mathematics includes the ability to effectively tackle mathematical challenges. By honing their problem-solving abilities, students can enhance their critical thinking rather than simply focusing on the final answers. This study endeavors to enhance students' proficiency in solving mathematical problems through the application of a problem-based learning approach within a contextual framework. The research methodology employed here is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted across two cycles involving grade XI.5 students at SMA Negeri 9 Semarang during the 2023/2024 academic year. The research utilized a problem-solving assessment instrument alongside observational data collected during the learning process. The test results served as a gauge for students' problem-solving skills. Significant progress was noted across both cycles, with the first cycle achieving a 60% pass rate and an average score of 78.14, while the second cycle saw a notable increase in pass rate to 94.28% and an average score of 95.63. The overall improvement in pass rates across both cycles underscores the efficacy of employing a problem-based learning model with a contextual approach in advancing students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes of students who use the Case Study learning strategy and students who use conventional learning models. The difference in learning outcomes of students with high interest who use the Case Study learning strategy and students with high interest who use conventional learning models. Based on the results of the research conducted, it was obtained; 1. There is a difference between learning outcomes using the Case Study learning strategy and the conventional model with Fcount of 3.521 and sig 0.00 <α 0.050. 2. There is a difference between the geography learning outcomes of high interest students who use the Case Syudy learning strategy and the conventional learning model with Fcount of 30.877 and sig 0.00<α 0.050. 3. There is a difference between the geography learning outcomes of low interest students who use the Case Study learning strategy and the conventional learning model with Fcount of 15.719 and sig 0.00 <α 0.050. 4. There is an interaction between the Case Study learning strategy and interest in learning as well as geography learning outcomes with Fcount of 6321.014 and sig 0.00 <α 0.050. This means that the student learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class are different or in other words, there is an influence of the Case Study learning strategy and interest on the geography learning outcomes of class XI students at SMA N 2 Solok Selatan.
