Abstract

An independent learning curriculum that emphasizes culture is needed to recognize more deeply about the culture around and in Indonesia. In this era significant changes occurred in the curriculum, leading to the development of more specific skills and a focus on technology and innovation. Ethnomathematics is one of the learning approaches that relates local culture in mathematics learning. There is a need to develop teaching materials that can improve mathematical skills in students and can be easily understood in accordance with presenting social and cultural skills in their area. Researchers raised the issue of local culture, especially the traditional food Lepet Ketan to be used as a learning resource through ethnomathematical studies in it. To be clearer, the author here will examine the relationship between each form of food type and mathematical elements. This research is a type of research and development R&D (Research and Development) using the ADDIE development model. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative descriptive data analysis technique using an assessment instrument in the form of a questionnaire involving Media Experts and Material Experts Based on the data obtained through the questionnaire assessment sheet, it can be said that the module is suitable for use. The ethnomathematics-based mathematics module on the flat building material developed is Very Feasible based on validity criteria according to the validator's assessment. Based on the results of the validation of material experts, a percentage of 98%, media experts 98%.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the implementation of physical and visual prompts in enhancing the skills of identifying melodies and rhythms in special needs children aged 7-8 years at XYZ School in Jakarta. This study involved four children attending a special music education class, who have difficulties in identifying melodies and rhythms on the piano. Using an action research method, the instruments used included questionnaires and a Likert scale evaluation rubric for quantitative data, as well as observations and anecdotal notes for qualitative data. The physical prompts used involved direct assistance to the participants' hands to guide them to the correct note positions, while the visual prompts consisted of visual cards displaying musical notation. Initially, the participants' ability to identify melodies and rhythms was 0%, categorized as 'Not Developed'. After two intervention cycles, the ability to identify melodies increased to 98.21% and simple rhythms reached 100%, both categorized as 'Developed as Expected'. These findings support the integration of physical and visual prompts into the curriculum of special schools and teacher training, to maximize the learning potential of special needs children. Further studies are recommended to help educators understand various types of prompts and their applications in a broader educational context.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept and practice of STEAM-based art education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 34 Kendal. The main focus of this research is to explore how the concept of art education, specifically music, is implemented within the STEAM framework at this school, as well as to examine how the practice is carried out by the teachers. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the teachers at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 34 Kendal have a strong understanding of the STEAM concept and successfully integrate its elements into music education. The lessons include sound wave experiments, creating musical instruments from recycled materials, and the use of digital music applications to introduce technology. Despite challenges related to limited resources and varying student abilities, the STEAM-based learning practice at this school has successfully created an engaging learning experience that enhances creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. This study also shows that STEAM-based learning is highly relevant for early childhood education as it helps children connect various disciplines in a fun and practical way. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the STEAM approach be further implemented in early childhood education to support the holistic development of students.

Abstract

Changes in the world of work from time to time must always be followed by the development of education. The development of education can essentially meet the expectations of the world of work as a provider of labor that has good knowledge, skills and personality. Meanwhile, education graduates are expected to be able to fill available job opportunities with their abilities. This condition is very different from what exists in the field. PKBM Bakti Indonesia is present to develop the potential of learning citizens by providing knowledge and skills of life skills education as well as developing attitudes and skills that they can apply in future life with mastery of multimedia technology. This research design uses descriptive qualitative which means to describe events or events that are happening. The problems in this study were formulated more specifically in order to focus on the research objectives. The results of the study when viewed with the CIPOO (Context, Input, Process, Output, Outcome) approach show that it has been running well, this is indicated by an increase in program graduates who are directly employed. PKBM Bakti Indonesia succeeded in developing the potential of graduates by providing knowledge and skills of life skills education and attitude development. PKBM Bakti Indonesia is a non-formal education institution that has a multimedia life skills program that directly graduates quality graduates who are independent and competitive.

Abstract

This article seeks to describe the meaning of Islam by millennials in the public sphere, by focusing on three things, they are how the emergence, response, and resilience of millennials in expressing their Islam in public cafes and mosques. By using a qualitative approach, recollecting data were based on observations, interviews with managers and staff/follower as well as important documents. This data, then, is analyzed critically and descriptively. This study obtains two main findings. First, Islamic expressions in public cafes caused the problem of market-oriented economic capitalism and not educating for the benefit wider community, so managers try to raise capital through investment from pesantren alumni as an economic and social modality as well as by offering a menu of sorogan kitab (pesantren book), selawatan, and scientific activities as priority marketing to attract consumers. This strategy is also resilient in strengthening the company profile of the cafe. Second, the expression of Islam in the mosque is aimed at reviving the house of God, takmir joint with national ustadz (preacher) such as UAS, Sugik Nur, and Hanan Attaki to recruit worshipers as well as to introduce Islam more radically to urban communities. Islamic learning focused on faith and ubudiyah holding on routinely after maghrib and subuh prayer, and "sajadah fajar" (down mat) program for shaping other mosques the same as theirs.

Abstract

In making craft products from patchwork fabrics, the abilities of male students are still not optimal compared to female students. This is due to the lack of interest of male students in practice because they assume that patchwork fabric crafts are women's work, from year to year the products produced are the same, male students are less active and less creative in making craft products. The purpose of the study was to determine the ability to make pencil cases from patchwork fabrics in male students. The research was conducted in August 2019. The research design used was descriptive research. The population in this study were male students in grade VII of SMP Negeri 31 Medan with a total of 143 students. The research samples were male students of class VII-4 totaling 18 students and VII-5 totaling 15 students. The data collection tool used was an observation sheet observed by 5 observers with an assessment grid consisting of 13 indicators. The results of the ability to make pencil cases from patchwork fabrics in male students of class VII SMP Negeri 31 Medan obtained 64,6% of students have very good abilities, 29,1% of students in the good category, 3,5% of students in the less category, and 2,8% of students in the sufficient category. When viewed from 13 aspects of the assessment, the highest ability is in the aspect of measuring the length of hemp rope with an average score of 94,2 and the ability to adjust the color of decorative buttons with the color of the fabric with an average value of 93,7.

Abstract

This study aims to examine curriculum management in Satuan Pendidikan Kerja Sama (SPK) as an effort to enhance global perspective education, focusing on a case study at Sampoerna Elementary School, Bumi Serpong Damai. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation processes of the applied curriculum and to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in its application. The findings reveal that Sampoerna Elementary School adopts the Cambridge curriculum integrated with the national curriculum, providing a balance between global awareness and Indonesian cultural values. However, several challenges were identified, such as overlaps between the two curricula and a lack of comprehensive understanding among stakeholders regarding the SPK concept. The strategies implemented include technology-based learning, the integration of 21st-century soft skills, and collaboration with international institutions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of learning discipline in 10th grade students of X State High School in Sikka Regency. This study uses descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study were all students of SMA Negeri X iwhich amounted to 1200 students. The sample in this study amounted to 354 people. Researchers took samples using non-probability sampling techniques, namely purposive sampling with criteria. The criteria determined are Class X students who show undisciplined behavior and are around 14-17 years old. The results showed that the high learning discipline category amounted to 6 people by 1.70%, the moderate learning discipline category amounted to 204 people by 57.63%, and the low learning discipline category amounted to 144 people by 40.67%. Based on the research results, it is concluded that the learning discipline of 10th grade students of SMA Negeri X in Sikka Regency is in the moderate category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of bullying behavior in high school students. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research type. The population in this study were all students of SMA Negeri X totaling 1200 students. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling, namely purposive sampling. The criteria determined were grade XI students aged 15 to 18 years who had experienced bullying behavior. The sample in this study amounted to 285 people. This data collection technique used a bullying behavior scale based on Sejiwa's theory. The results of the study found that bullying behavior in students was categorized as high with a total of 225 people amounting to 78.94%, the moderate category amounting to 55 people amounting to 19.29%, and the low category amounting to 5 people amounting to 1.75%. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that bullying behavior in grade XI students at SMA Negeri X was in the high category.

Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia, yang memiliki peran sebagai bahasa nasional dan identitas bangsa, menjadi elemen penting dalam memperkuat wawasan kebangsaan dan keterampilan komunikasi generasi muda. Dalam era globalisasi, penguasaan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar menjadi kompetensi utama, tidak hanya dalam konteks akademis tetapi juga dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Buku Bahasa Indonesia Tingkat Lanjut: Cakap Berbahasa dan Bersastra Indonesia untuk SMA Kelas XI karya Rahmah Purwahida dan Maman hadir untuk mendukung penguasaan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia melalui pendekatan kontekstual yang relevan dengan Kurikulum Merdeka. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian materi buku tersebut dengan capaian pembelajaran dalam Kurikulum Merdeka, menilai kelayakan kebahasaan, serta mengevaluasi kelengkapan dan keakuratan materi yang disajikan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif dan metode analisis isi, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa materi dalam buku ini disusun secara sistematis dan sesuai dengan kompetensi dasar dalam Kurikulum Merdeka, seperti keterampilan membaca kritis, menulis teks, serta apresiasi sastra. Buku ini juga menerapkan pendekatan berbasis konteks yang memfasilitasi pengembangan kompetensi abad ke-21, seperti berpikir kritis dan kreatif, serta mendukung pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang relevan dengan tuntutan dunia modern.
