Abstract

This study delves into the Islamic Foundation for Education Malik Ibrahim Gresik to investigate how transformational leadership and compensation, mediated through organizational commitment, impact teacher performance. Employing a quantitative explanatory approach, the analysis reveals several key insights. Firstly, teacher performance is directly affected by transformational leadership and compensation. Secondly, both transformational leadership and compensation directly influence organizational commitment. Thirdly, organizational commitment directly impacts teacher performance. Transformational leadership independently impacts teacher performance, circumventing the need for organizational commitment as a mediator. Additionally, organizational commitment serves as a mediator between compensation and teacher effectiveness. These findings hold significant implications for educational management. They underscore the importance of prioritizing transformational leadership and fair compensation to enhance educational effectiveness. Moreover, they highlight the need for fostering organizational commitment among educators. By addressing these factors, educational institutions can bolster their management practices, thereby elevating the quality of education and contributing more substantially to the nation's development agenda.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the understanding of radicalism in Islamic boarding schools and the patterns of Islamic boarding school leaders in countering radicalism. This research uses a qualitative case study type approach. The data collection techniques are observation, documentation and interviews. Data analysis uses the Milles and Huberman model: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The research results show that 1) radicalism can be understood in the aspect of a deep understanding of religion and actions in the name of shallow religion, 2) Islamic boarding schools' efforts to ward off radicalism include instilling religious values based on the Qur'an and As-Sunnah, the Islamic principles of rahmatan lil'aalamin, and enlightenment of student by combining the concept of ijtihad fikriyah. They also encourage attitudes of tolerance, tasamuh, and love of the country. In the social sector, Islamic boarding schools interact directly with the community, holding routine activities such as weekly recitations and deliberations to resolve problems. They also practice mutual understanding and respect for differences. In culture, Islamic boarding schools teach an understanding of cultural diversity and mutual respect for differences. The implication is to strengthen the perspective of Kyai and Islamic boarding school managers towards radicalism with a deep understanding and rejection of violence in the name of religion.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the approach of the Tahfidzul Qur'an Islamic boarding school in handling the mental health disorders of students. The method used is a qualitative case study type. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique consists of three lines of activity: data reduction, data presentation, and concludingand . The research results show that the process of memorizing the Al-Qur'an requires high concentration and optimal mental endurance so that students can carry out routine activities of memorizing the Al-Qur'an; they also must study in formal education. To support this, physical and spiritual endurance is needed to avoid mental health disorders. The impact of this physical and spiritual imbalance is felt in adaptation and concentration, and it not only affects individual health but also plays a vital role in preparing students to read and memorize the Koran well. The way to prevent this is to use an approach to establishing discipline and Islamic mystical therapy. Islamic boarding school caregivers provide practice to students who experience mental disorders in the form of stress, weak memorization ability, and depression through a spiritual approach.

Abstract

This research investigates the changes school principals face in improving education quality through the Program Sekolah Penggerak in Indonesia. The principal's leadership is considered one of the key factors in successfully implementing this program. This study uses a qualitative approach by analyzing data from interviews, observations, and document analysis at SMAIT Miftahul Khoir Bandung. The results of the research show that school principals in this program are more active in directing (decision making, developing RKAS and budgeting, designing educational unit operational curricula, experience regarding curriculum changes, evaluative competence), managing human resources (building the personal capacity of teachers and staff, building a conducive culture, organizing the school structure), and building partnerships. With the various trainings available both through the direction of school principals and the government, it is hoped that teachers will become more active in capturing various changes in the curriculum and become role models for other schools. The research is expected to contribute to the researchers who will conduct military research on madrasa-based schools in implementing the independent curriculum.

Abstract

This research analyzes the management of student entrepreneurial talent development at State Vocational Schools in Banda Aceh City. The research uses a qualitative case study type approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Research at SMK Negeri 1, SMK Negeri 2, and SMK Negeri 3 revealed several main findings. First, entrepreneurship learning planning in the three schools is carried out effectively with different strategies and focuses. Second, the implementation of entrepreneurship education shows a good approach, where each school adopts methods according to its context, cultivating various skills in its graduates. Third, despite differences in learning management, the process still follows standard guidelines and uses learning tools according to the Independent Curriculum. Obstacles included a need for more student understanding, motivation, and practicum costs. The solution includes competency tests, mid-semester exams, market days, and project assignments tailored to student competencies. Thus, vocational schools in Banda Aceh City aim to equip students with entrepreneurial intelligence and practical skills for business success.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the process of building an electrical engineering teaching factory at SMKN 1 Paringin. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis began with condensing interview and document data, then sorting it according to the research objectives. The sorted data is presented in narrative form according to the research objectives. The narrative of the research data is summarized based on the discussion points. Data validity checks were conducted using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results show that SMKN 1 Paringin and PT Adaro collaborated to develop productive and dedicated teachers for the teaching factory. Teachers were trained to create block schedules and job sheets based on processes and outcomes, applying teaching factory standards, quality control, and community service. The community service program at SMKN 1 Paringin is an attractive model because it focuses on developing workforce skills and altruistic aspects. This research supports further development in other vocational schools in Indonesia, especially in Centers of Excellence vocational schools, to sustainably enhance their benefits for industries and communities.
