Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the application of Michael Rifaterre's semiotic approach in discussing heuristic and hermeneutic reading methods in the book of Burdah. This research used a qualitative approach with a focus on text analysis. The method used involves Michael Rifaterre's semiotic approach as the main framework. Data was collected through literature studies related to Burdah and semiotic approaches, as well as analysis of Burdah texts using heuristic and hermeneutic lenses. The results showed that the heuristic approach helps reveal symbolic and metaphorical elements, while the hermeneutic approach deepens the understanding of the historical and cultural context surrounding Burdah. Thus, a combinative reading of both approaches forms a more holistic understanding. The study concluded that Michael Rifaterre's semiotic approach can be an effective framework for analyzing heuristic and hermeneutic readings in classical Islamic texts such as Burdah. The combination of the two approaches enriches the understanding of literary work, revealing deeper layers of meaning.

Abstract

This research aimed to provide solutions to Qiraah teachers, in order to train and develop students' thinking abilities through a post-solution position-based learning model. The development of the learning model is based on the Qiraah learning constraints and problems faced by lecturers and students, which are obtained from needs analysis. The post-solution posing model applies six phases in learning activities, namely establishing set, comprehension, social interaction, explain, feedback, and extended practice. This research used research and development method. Data are collected through questionnaire, interview, document, and test conducted in the Arabic Language Education Study Program involving 45 students. The effectiveness of the six phases of the post-solution posing model which has been tested on learning through Qiraah using the one-group pretest-posttest technique, produces a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This shows a significant increase in scores, so that the post-solution position learning model in the Qiraah course is considered effective for training the development of thinking skills in students.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore more deeply the concept of learning maharah istima Ali Ahmad Madkur. The research is qualitative descriptive research, using qualitative analysis strategy techniques and library research methods. The results showed the concept of learning maharah istima presented by Ali Ahmad Madkur, starting from the essence of maharah istima, the general purpose of learning istima, the objectives and skills of maharah istima at the beginner level, the division of istima, the learning program of istima, and strategies and stages that must be done in maharah istima. The success of Arabic language learning in maharah istima can be achieved when the learning contains meta-cognitive, social-affective, and psychomotor elements. Ali Ahmad Madkur's concept includes meta-cognitive and psychomotor aspects. However, seeing that the affective aspect is not found in Ali Ahmad Madkur's concept, the affective aspect is very important to complement Ali Ahmad Madkur's concept because the affective aspect is very influential on the emotional relationship between teachers and students.
