Abstract

Abstract: This study is based on the importance of understanding precipitation reactions, solubility, and the characteristics of ionic compounds through laboratory experiments. The aim of this research is to synthesize silver chloride (AgCl) via a precipitation reaction, observe the physical characteristics of the resulting precipitate, and examine its solubility in water. The method applied was an experimental approach by mixing 0.01 M AgNO? and NaCl solutions, followed by filtration, drying, and weighing to obtain the experimental mass as well as to calculate the theoretical mass and percentage error. The results indicated the formation of a white AgCl precipitate with a mass of 0.26 grams. The precipitate showed a slight purplish discoloration after exposure to light, indicating its photosensitive nature. The solubility test revealed that AgCl is insoluble in water. The percentage error was found to be 27.8%, which may be attributed to incomplete drying, the presence of impurities, and inaccuracies during filtration and weighing processes. Future studies are recommended to ensure complete drying until constant mass is achieved, reduce contamination, and improve precision in each experimental step to obtain more accurate results.   Keywords: Precipitation, Silver Chloride (AgCl), Solubility, Gravimetry, Photosensitive   Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pemahaman konsep reaksi presipitasi, kelarutan, dan karakteristik senyawa ionik melalui kegiatan eksperimen laboratorium. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mensintesis senyawa perak klorida (AgCl) melalui reaksi presipitasi, mengkarakterisasi sifat fisik yang terbentuk, serta menganalisis sifat kelarutannya dalam air. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan mencampurkan larutan AgNO? dan NaCl masing-masing 0,01 M, dilanjutkan dengan proses filtrasi, pengeringan, dan penimbangan untuk menentukan massa hasil serta menghitung massa teoritis dan persen kesalahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terbentuknya endapan putih AgCl dengan massa sebesar 0,26 gram yang kemudian mengalami perubahan warna menjadi keunguan akibat pengaruh cahaya (sifat fotosensitif). Uji kelarutan menunjukkan bahwa AgCl tidak larut dalam air. Persen kesalahan yang diperoleh sebesar 27,8% yang disebabkan oleh faktor pengeringan yang belum optimal, adanya pengotor, serta kesalahan dalam proses penyaringan dan penimbangan. Disarankan bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk meningkatkan ketelitian dalam proses pengeringan hingga mencapai massa konstan, meminimalkan kontaminasi, serta menggunakan teknik pemurnian yang lebih baik agar diperoleh hasil yang lebih akurat.   Kata kunci: Presipitasi, Perak Klorida (AgCl), Kelarutan, Gravimetri, Fotosensitif

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to synthesize and characterize barium sulfate (BaSO?) as an ionic compound using a precipitation method, as well as to analyze its physical properties and solubility based on laboratory experimental results. The synthesis was carried out by reacting barium chloride (BaCl?) and sodium sulfate (Na?SO?) solutions in an aqueous medium, resulting in the formation of a white BaSO? precipitate. The precipitate was then separated through filtration, washed with distilled water, and dried to obtain a stable solid product. Characterization was conducted through physical and solubility tests. The results showed that the obtained BaSO? was in the form of a fine white powder. In the solubility test, the compound was found to be insoluble in water, indicating that BaSO? has very low solubility. Based on stoichiometric calculations, the theoretical mass was 2.33 grams, while the experimental mass was 0.55 grams, resulting in a percentage yield of 23.6%. The relatively low yield indicates that the synthesis process was not fully optimal. Theoretically, the formation of BaSO? precipitate is influenced by its very low solubility product constant (Ksp), causing Ba²? and SO?²? ions in solution to form a solid phase. The results of this study are consistent with theoretical principles in terms of precipitate formation, physical properties, and solubility, although differences were observed in the quantitative results. Keywords: Baso?, Precipitation, Ionic Compound, Solubility, Yield Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensintesis dan mengkarakterisasi senyawa ion Barium Sulfat (BaSO?) melalui metode pengendapan serta menganalisis sifat fisik dan kelarutannya berdasarkan hasil eksperimen laboratorium. Sintesis dilakukan dengan mereaksikan larutan Barium Klorida (BaCl?) dan natrium sulfat (Na?SO?) dalam medium berair sehingga terbentuk endapan putih BaSO?. Endapan yang dihasilkan kemudian dipisahkan melalui proses filtrasi, dicuci menggunakan Aquades, dan dikeringkan untuk memperoleh padatan yang stabil. Karakterisasi dilakukan melalui uji fisik dan uji kelarutan. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa BaSO? yang diperoleh berbentuk serbuk halus berwarna putih. Pada uji kelarutan, senyawa ini tidak larut dalam air, yang menunjukkan bahwa BaSO? memiliki kelarutan yang sangat rendah. Berdasarkan perhitungan stoikiometri, diperoleh massa teoritis sebesar 2,33 gram, sedangkan massa hasil eksperimen sebesar 0,55 gram, sehingga diperoleh persen rendemen sebesar 23,6%. Nilai rendemen yang relatif rendah menunjukkan bahwa proses sintesis belum berlangsung secara optimal. Secara teoritis, pembentukan endapan BaSO? dipengaruhi oleh nilai hasil kali kelarutan (Ksp) yang sangat kecil, sehingga ion Ba²? dan SO?²? dalam larutan cenderung membentuk fase padat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kesesuaian dengan teori dari segi pembentukan endapan, sifat fisik, dan kelarutan, meskipun terdapat perbedaan pada hasil kuantitatif yang diperoleh. Kata kunci: BaSO?, Pengendapan, Senyawa Ion, Kelarutan, Rendemen

Abstract

Abstract:This study discusses the effect of Yttrium (Y) doping variations on the physical and electromagnetic properties of Barium Hexafere (BaFe??O??) synthesized using the solidstate reaction method. The doping variations used were 0.00; 0.01; 0.03; and 0.05 at%. The calcination process was carried out at 600 °C and sintering at 1200 °C. Characterization was performed using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). The XRD results showed that all samples had a single phase of BaFe??O?? with a hexagonal structure according to JCPDS No. 84-0757 without secondary phases, with the highest crystallinity at a doping of 0.05 at%. SEM analysis showed an increase in grain density and a decrease in porosity with increasing Y doping. VNA testing showed the best Reflection Loss value of –12.98 dB at a frequency of 8.87 GHz with 71.8% microwave absorption. Yttrium doping of 0.05 at% is the optimal composition for enhancing microwave absorption in Barium Hexafere. Keywords:Barium Hexafere, Yttrium, solid state reaction, XRD, SEM, VNA Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh variasi doping Yttrium (Y) terhadap sifat fisis dan elektromagnetik Barium Heksaferrit (BaFe??O??) yang disintesis menggunakan metode solid state reaction. Variasi doping yang digunakan yaitu 0,00; 0,01; 0,03; dan 0,05 at%. Proses kalsinasi dilakukan pada suhu 600 °C dan sintering pada suhu 1200 °C. Karakterisasi dilakukan menggunakan X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), dan Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). Hasil XRD menunjukkan semua sampel memiliki fasa tunggal BaFe??O?? dengan struktur heksagonal sesuai JCPDS No. 84-0757 tanpa fasa sekunder, dengan kristalinitas tertinggi pada doping 0,05 at%. Analisis SEM menunjukkan peningkatan kerapatan butir dan penurunan porositas seiring bertambahnya doping Y. Uji VNA menunjukkan nilai Reflection Loss terbaik –12,98 dB pada frekuensi 8,87 GHz dengan penyerapan gelombang mikro 71,8%. Doping Yttrium 0,05 at% merupakan komposisi optimal untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penyerapan gelombang mikro pada Barium Heksaferrit. Kata kunci: Barium Heksaferrit, Yttrium, solid state reaction, XRD, SEM, VNA

Abstract

The folk tale of Ma Sihe'i from Aceh depicts the relationship between a mother and her child, which is full of moral values. Ma Sihe'i, a loving mother, must deal with her child's rebellious behavior. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the moral values contained in the story of Sihe'i from Japakeh Pidie Jaya. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. The results of this study show that the moral messages emphasized in this story include the importance of respecting parents, maintaining family relationships, demonstrating responsibility as a child, and understanding the consequences of bad behavior. The values of honesty, kindness, justice, tolerance, and responsibility are reflected in this story, making it a reminder to maintain love and respect for parents as a form of noble devotion.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing work family conflict experienced by university lecturers due to high academic job demands. One leadership approach that is considered capable of alleviating this conflict is leadership humor. This research aims to examine the effect of positive leadership humor on work family conflict, with coworker socializing as a mediating variable among lecturers at Universitas Lancang Kuning. The study is grounded in the Stimulus Organism Response (SOR) theory and Conservation of Resources (COR) theory, which conceptualize leader humor as a social stimulus and a socioemotional resource. A quantitative approach with a causal research design was employed. Data were collected through structured questionnaires using a Likert scale from 186 lecturers selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings indicate that positive leadership humor has a negative effect on work family conflict and a positive effect on coworker socializing. Furthermore, coworker socializing negatively affects work family conflict and significantly mediates the relationship between leadership humor and work family conflict. The study concludes that positive leadership humor plays a strategic role in fostering a supportive work environment and helping lecturers balance professional and family demands.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant transformations in various sectors, including health information management. The integration of AI in health data management not only improves operational efficiency but also opens up strategic opportunities in digital business development in the healthcare sector. This study aims to analyze the role of AI in health information management and its impact on optimizing digital business strategies. The method used is a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review of various recent scientific publications (2020–2025) relevant to the research topic. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns, trends, and contributions of AI in health information management. The results show that the application of AI, such as machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics, can improve data processing accuracy, accelerate decision-making, and support personalized healthcare services. In addition, AI plays a role in increasing operational cost efficiency and creating innovative digital business models, such as telemedicine and intelligent-based electronic medical record systems. However, challenges related to data security, patient privacy, and infrastructure and human resource readiness remain major obstacles to its implementation. In conclusion, AI has a strategic role in improving the quality of health information management while strengthening the competitiveness of digital businesses in the healthcare sector. Therefore, adaptive policies, improved human resource competencies, and strengthened information security systems are needed to support the sustainable implementation of AI.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the evidentiary system in medical malpractice cases involving specialist doctors under Law Number 8 of 1981 concerning Criminal Procedure Law and Law Number 20 of 2025 and to compare the effectiveness of both systems in providing legal protection for patients. This research is normative legal research employing statutory and comparative approaches, using primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials analyzed qualitatively. The results show that the evidentiary system under Law Number 8 of 1981 remains limited and formalistic, thus not fully accommodating the complexity of proof in medical malpractice cases which require scientific and professional approaches. Meanwhile, Law Number 20 of 2025 expands the scope of admissible evidence, including electronic and scientific evidence, making it more adaptive to developments in science and technology in the medical field. The comparison indicates a paradigm shift from formal legal certainty toward a balance between legal certainty, justice, and utility. Therefore, the evidentiary regulation under Law Number 20 of 2025 is considered more responsive in handling medical malpractice cases by specialist doctors and provides more optimal legal protection for patients as victims.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the utilization of web- and mobile-based academic information systems on student satisfaction and academic performance at Sekolah Tinggi Manajemen Informatika dan Komputer (STMIK) Multicom Kotamobagu. The rapid advancement of information technology has encouraged higher education institutions to adopt digital systems to enhance the efficiency, accessibility, and quality of academic services. However, the effectiveness of such systems in improving student satisfaction and performance still requires empirical validation. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consists of active students at STMIK Multicom Kotamobagu, while the sample is determined using purposive sampling, focusing on students who have utilized the academic information system. Data were collected through structured questionnaires using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique applied in this study is Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), which allows for the simultaneous examination of relationships among variables. The independent variable in this study is the utilization of the academic information system, while the dependent variables include student satisfaction and academic performance. The findings reveal that the utilization of web- and mobile-based academic information systems has a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction. Furthermore, the system utilization also significantly influences student performance, both directly and indirectly through satisfaction as a mediating variable. These results indicate that an accessible, user-friendly, and responsive academic information system can enhance user experience and support improved academic outcomes. This study provides practical implications for higher education institutions in optimizing digital academic systems. Improving system quality, usability, and real-time information delivery is essential to enhance student satisfaction and performance sustainably.

Abstract

Text based social engineering attacks are a growing cyber threat that is difficult to detect by conventional intrusion detection systems, especially in previously unobserved or zero-day variants. This study proposes a Natural Language Processing Open-Set Intrusion Detection System (NLP-OSIDS) framework that integrates Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) trigram (1.3-gram) feature representation with an Open-Set Multilayer Perceptron architecture based on energy based scoring to detect zero-day social engineering attacks without requiring training examples from that class. Experiments were conducted on the public dataset phishing_email.csv with 82,486 combined samples from Enron, SpamAssassin, Nazario, Ling, CEAS, and Nigerian Fraud datasets with strict zero-day partitioning following open-set recognition evaluation standards. The results show that NLP-OSIDS achieved an AUROC of 0.7808, surpassing all closed-set baselines (AUROC = 0.500) with the lowest False Positive Rate of 0.0088, while the Zero-Day Detection Rate (ZD-DR) of 0.077 indicates the need for adaptive threshold optimization as a direction for further research.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has encouraged companies to manage data more effectively in decision-making processes, including inventory management. Problems such as overstock, deadstock, and stockout frequently occur due to the lack of data-driven management based on historical transactions. This study aims to analyze and classify inventory demand levels using the Naïve Bayes algorithm to optimize inventory management at PT Soala Gogo Natama. This research employs a quantitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The dataset consists of 300 observations divided into training data (210) and testing data (90) with 9 variables. The analysis process includes data preprocessing, implementation of the Gaussian Naïve Bayes algorithm using Python, and model evaluation using accuracy, confusion matrix, and classification report. The results indicate that the model successfully classifies data into three categories: low, medium, and high, with an accuracy of 78.89%. Model evaluation shows good performance in the low and high classes, while misclassification occurs in the medium class due to overlapping characteristics between classes. This suggests that the model is effective in identifying data patterns but has limitations when handling data with similar distributions. In conclusion, the Naïve Bayes algorithm is effective in supporting inventory management decision-making, particularly in determining stock priorities based on historical data.
