Abstract

This article aimed at illustrating how students’ personalities (introvert and extrovert) affects their learning outcomes of chemistry subject when the teacher employs two learning models, i.e. inside-outside circle and snowball throwing. This research uses quantitative approach, particularly quasi experiment. The result of the research showed that the learning outcomes of chemistry by extrovert students were higher when using inside-outside circle learning model compared to snowball throwing. On the other hand, the learning outcomes of introvert students who studied chemistry were higher when using snowball throwing learning model compared to inside-outside circle. The finding of this research that shows the learning outcomes differences regarding students’ personalities are interesting to be considered by the teachers in selecting and developing learning activities in classroom to improve the students’ learning outcomes optimally. Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana pengaruh kepribadian siswa (introvert dan ekstrovert) terhadap hasil belajar mata pelajaran Kimia di antara dua model pembelajaran, yaitu inside-outside circle dan snowball throwing. Penelitian ini berpendekatan kuantitatif dan menggunakan kuasi eksperimen semu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar Kimia dari siswa dengan kepribadian ekstrovert ketika menggunakan model pembelajaran inside-outside circle lebih tinggi dibanding ketika menggunakan model pembelajaran snowball throwing. Di sisi lain, siswa yang berkepribadian introvert ketika menggunakan model pembelajaran snowball throwing hasil belajarnya lebih tinggi dibandingkan ketika menggunakan model pembelajaran inside-outside circle. Temuan yang menunjukkan perbedaan hasil belajar dilihat dari faktor kepribadian ini menarik sebagai pertimbangan guru dalam memilih dan mengembangkan pembelajaran di kelas agar hasil belajarnya lebih optimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih banyaknya siswa yang melakukan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal dan salah satu cara untuk mengatasinya dengan menganalisis kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis kesalahan, faktor penyebab, dan memberikan solusi mengatasi terjadinya kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal fisika materi kalor. Teknik Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian kelas X.9 SMAN 2 Lubuklinggau.Dari hasil analisis data tes ditemukan persentase kesalahan konsep sebesar 91%, kesalahan strategi sebesar 50%, dan kesalahan hitung sebesar 77%. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan angket, faktor penyebab siswa melakukan kesalahan konsep adalah siswa tidak memahami materi, siswa jarang mengulang materi yang sudah dipelajari dirumah, siswa tidak berani bertanya kepada guru jika ada hal yang belum dimengerti, siswa malas latihan soal, dan referensi belajar kurang lengkap. Penyebab kesalahan strategi adalah siswa tidak teliti membaca soal, siswa jarang latihan soal yang bervariasi, dan siswa tidak memperhatikan ketika guru menjelaskan. Penyebab kesalahan hitung adalah siswa tidak teliti dalam menghitung, siswa tidak memeriksa kembali jawaban, siswa kesulitan melakukan operasi hitung, dan guru jarang memberikan contoh soal yang bervariasi.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) interaksi antara kemampuan awal siswa dan pembelajaran kooperatif dengan prestasi belajar siswa, 2) perbedaan penguasaan konsep siswa antara yang belajar melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dengan yang belajar melalui pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe NHT, 3) perbedaan penguasaan konsep melalui pembelajaran kooperatif pada siswa yang berkemampuan awal tinggi, dan 4) perbedaan penguasaan konsep melalui pembelajaran kooperatif pada siswa yang berkemampuan awal rendah. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksperimen dan menggunakan rancangan eksperimen faktorial 2x2. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Pulakidak, dengan sampel siswa kelas VII.a dan VII.b, berjumlah 52 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes. Analisis data menggunakan analisis varians dua arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat interaksi antara kemampuan awal siswa dan pembelajaran kooperatif dengan prestasi belajar siswa dengan nilai P-value 0,051, (2) rata-rata penguasaan konsep siswa yang belajar melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang belajar melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dengan nilai P-value 0,490 dan perbedaan rata-rata sebesar 4,75, (3) rata-rata penguasaan konsep siswa yang berkemampuan awal tinggi dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw lebih tinggi daripada dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dengan perbedaan rata-rata 0,25, dan (4) rata-rata penguasaan konsep siswa yang berkemampuan awal rendah dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT lebih tinggi daripada dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dengan perbedaan rata-rata 9,75.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the types of difficulties, the causative factors, and provide solutions to overcome the difficulties in solving physics problems with temperature and heat matter. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study, a sample of 30 students, taken by purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of the analysis of the test data found the proportion of difficulties in understanding the questions that is equal to 80.3%, difficulty using symbols at 76.2%, difficulty using the formula at 84%, difficulty analyzing graphics at 65% and difficulty at counting at 90%. Based on the results of interviews and questionnaires, the factors causing students to have difficulty understanding the questions are students not understanding the purpose and objectives of the questions, lack of student understanding of the material, students rarely repeat the material that has been learned at home and students are lazy to practice working on the problems. The cause of difficulty using symbols is students forget about physics symbols and students remember symbols by memorizing instead of understanding them. The cause of difficulty using, because students are not interested and feel complicated with the problems contained in the formula, students do not master the material concepts well. The cause of difficulties in analyzing graphs is that students do not understand the purpose of the graph, students feel complicated and are not interested in the problems contained in the graph. The reason for arithmetic difficulties is that students are not interested in counting problems, students are not careful in calculating, students have difficulty doing arithmetic operations, and teachers rarely give varied problems. Conclusion, this problem can be overcome by frequently reading reference books, more diligent in doing the assignments given by the teacher, more active practice of physics problems at home, more concentrated when analyzing graphs and not in a hurry, students must often practice calculation problems so that the skills counting can increase. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of contextual teaching learning models and community technology science models on student learning outcomes in the diffusion courses of educational innovation. This study uses quasi-experimental by collecting data using tests, documentation, interviews and observations. The results showed that the average value of student learning outcomes used in the learning model of community technology science was higher than the value of student learning outcomes used in the contextual teaching learning model. This is because the community's science technology model helps students better understand material related to problems found in real life so students become active in the learning process. In conclusion, the Contextual Teaching and Science learning model of community technology is more effective in improving student learning outcomes in the diffusion of education innovation courses. Abstract

The research aims at finding out the correlation between Jigsaw method and conventional on students learning achievement at SMP Negeri 12 Lubuklinggau. It was a quantitative research with experiment method. The population was all of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Lubuklinggau with 156 students. The samples were the two classes which were collected by simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique was conducted through tests in the form of essay with six items and the questionnaires of learning independence. The data analysis was conducted through t test. Based on the result of posttest. Both in experiment and control class with significance level 0,05, it was found out that t obtained = 1,93 and ttable = 1,658 because t obtained > t table. It can be concluded that physic learning achievement with Jigsaw method was higher than conventional method. Keywords: Jigsaw, Learning Independence, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between learning interest in learning achievement in physics of class XI students at Karang Jaya Public High School 2017/2018 Academic Year. The research method used is correlation research. The population is all class students of Karang Jaya High School 2017/2018 Academic Year totaling 103 people and as a sample 1 class is taken, namely the XIA class totaling 26 people. Data collection techniques were carried out by questionnaire technique. The magnitude of the correlation between the two variables tested (rxy) is 0.50 (medium correlation coefficient). The regression equation is Y = 42 + 0.51X. the value of b which is positive, means that interest in learning has a positive effect on student learning achievement. The results of the calculation of linearity test Fcount = 8.11 while from the F distribution table at the significance level α = 0.05 where db re g (b 1a) 1 and db res = 26 this means there is a linear relationship of learning interest with student achievement in physics learning. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between interest in learning with physics learning achievement of students of Class XI Karang Jaya Public High School 2017/2018 Academic Year. It is expected that students always train themselves to dare to appear in expressing their opinions in public places. Keywords: interest, learning achievement

Abstract

Guru di SD Negeri 20 Lubuklinggau belumpernahmendapatkansosialisasitentangemodule interkatif.Melaluiemodule interaktif, pesertadidiktidakhanyabelajaruraianmateriberupa teks dan gambar saja tapi siswa juga difasilitasi berupa video pembelajaran, taihan interkatif dan juga sensasi seperti mereka membaca buku dengan menerapkan konsep flippbook. Tujuandaripengabdianiniadalahuntuk memberikan sosialisasi emodule interaktif. Adapun metode yang dilakukan terdiri dari 3 tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah para peserta meningkatnya pengetahuan dan motivasi belajar tentang emodule interaktif
