Abstract

This research focuses on developing Canva-based Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) media, enriched with the local Patu Cambe culture, to enhance students' English speaking skills. The study addresses the problem of low speaking proficiency among students, characterized by difficulties in pronunciation, vocabulary, self-confidence, and a lack of engaging learning media. The proposed solution integrates TBLT with visual media like Canva and local cultural content to foster interactive and creative learning, thereby increasing emotional involvement and cultural identity. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The target participants are students from the English Language Education Study Program at STKIP Al Amin Dompu. The study demonstrates that combining task-based learning approaches with digital tools like Canva creates engaging and interactive learning environments that foster greater motivation, confidence, and fluency among students. The integration of culturally relevant content, such as Patu Cambe, serves as a mediational tool that not only facilitates language development but also strengthens students' cultural identity, making learning more meaningful and contextually relevant. The quantitative results support this, showing a statistically significant increase in posttest scores from 78.47 to 86.06 (p < 0.001), with a large effect size, indicating the effectiveness of this approach in improving speaking proficiency

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of the munjung tradition in Javanese wedding ceremonies within the transmigrant community of Tegalrejo Village, Musi Rawas, South Sumatra. Munjung, a form of respect and invitation through the delivery of food, has undergone changes in form and meaning due to evolving times, economic conditions, and the impact of the pandemic. This research adopts a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and documentation, with informants selected using purposive and snowball sampling techniques. Analysis based on the Miles and Huberman model revealed three key themes: changes in the containers and contents of punjungan, rationalization of practicality, and the persistence of symbolic values in an adaptive form. Despite physical transformations, the social and cultural functions of munjung persist as symbols of respect and social bonding. This study enriches the understanding of cultural adaptation among migrant communities and emphasizes the importance of preserving local traditions in a contextualized manner. The implications include strengthening character education based on local culture, informing policies on cultural preservation, and providing direction for future research on symbolic and ecological aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the affective domain of students in the implementation of an integrated Islamic value-based learning model at Rahmatullah Al Ma'arif Darek High School. The background of this study is based on the importance of education in shaping students' character through internalizing the values of honesty, responsibility, empathy, and discipline, which often receive less attention than the cognitive domain. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach with an evaluative design. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire, teacher observations, and interviews with educators. The results showed that most affective indicators were in the Good to Very Good category, with the highest scores in the aspects of trustworthiness, politeness, and respect for teachers. Teacher observations reinforce these findings by demonstrating consistent positive student behavior within the learning context. However, empathy still needs to be strengthened through a collaborative and contextual approach. This conclusion suggests that Islamic values-based learning can significantly improve students' affective domains. This research has important implications for the development of a more systematic values-based curriculum and emphasizes the need for valid and standardized affective evaluation instruments. Recommendations for further research include the development of longitudinal evaluation instruments and more effective learning exploration strategies to foster students' social empathy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of human resource management (HRM) on teacher performance in the context of Islamic education. The method used was sampling technique with linear regression test, involving a population of teachers at SMP Satu Atap 3 Sekotong. Data were collected through a questionnaire designed to explore the relationship between HRM and teacher performance. The analysis showed a significant correlation with a Pearson Correlation value of 0.882 (p < 0.01), indicating a strong positive relationship. The regression model yielded an R Square of 0.778, indicating that 77.8% of the variation in the management relationship can be explained by teacher performance. ANOVA analysis showed the regression model was significant (F = 27.998, p < 0.001). This finding confirms that effective HRM implementation contributes to improved teacher performance. This study provides important insights for education managers in formulating more effective development strategies to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

. Improvements in the quality of education in madrasahs are greatly influenced by the quality of teacher leadership and teacher professionalism, especially in relation to student academic achievement. The reality before us shows that madrasahs face various challenges, such as limited resources, a lack of innovative learning strategies, and differences in quality between facilities. Therefore, this study aims to examine the influence of principal management competence on student academic achievement, describe the role of professional teachers in improving academic achievement, and explore the relationship between these two factors. This study also aims to examine the quality of education in madrasahs. This study applies a literature research method with a content analysis approach to relevant books, articles, and scientific journals. The findings show that principals with good management skills are able to create a conducive learning environment, while professional teachers are a key factor in delivering effective and meaningful teaching. The synergy between the two creates a positive and sustainable academic culture that ultimately leads to improved student achievement. It is hoped that these findings will contribute to the literature on educational management and provide practical contributions to educators, teachers, and policy makers in developing strategies to improve the quality of madrasahs in a global context.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a habit-learning-based physical education (PJOK) learning model with habituation strategies and positive reinforcement to form sustainable physical activity habits in high school students. The method used is research and development (R&D) with the Borg & Gall model. The subjects of the study were grade X IPS I students of SMAN 1 Langgudu, Bima Regency. The research instruments were questionnaires and interviews to measure student motivation and responses after the model was implemented. The results of a limited trial showed that the implementation of the habit learning model obtained an average response of 62.70% in the good category. A total of 78.9% of students rated this model as good, while 21.1% rated it as sufficient, with no ratings being very good or poor. These findings indicate that the developed learning model is practically feasible, although it still requires improvements in the aspects of rewards, consistency of habituation, and optimization of digital media to increase its effectiveness. Thus, the habit learning model has the potential to support the goal of physical education in forming a lifelong healthy lifestyle.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping individuals who are not only academically competent but also possess strong character and cultural awareness. Within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum, the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) serves as a strategic platform to instill these values through project-based learning. This study aims to develop teaching materials for writing procedural texts based on local gastronomy as a realization of the local wisdom theme in P5 at the junior high school level. The main issue addressed is the lack of teaching materials that integrate writing skills with the preservation and reinforcement of local culture. The research method employs a Research and Development (R&D) model using the systematic ADDIE approach. The developed teaching materials include five core components: an introduction to local gastronomy, understanding the structure of procedural texts, direct culinary observations, experience-based writing activities, and cultural reflection embedded in students' writings. Expert validation revealed a material and media feasibility rate of 92%. Limited trials in Grade VIII showed significant improvements in students’ procedural writing skills and their appreciation of local culture. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of local gastronomic exploration as a contextual and character-based literacy learning approach. This research is expected to contribute to the development of adaptive teaching materials that meet contemporary educational needs while promoting cultural preservation through Indonesian language learning under the Merdeka curriculum.
