Abstract

The Pythagorean theorem is a fundamental concept in mathematics that is often used to solve various geometric problems. In physics studies, especially in relativistic momentum analysis, the application of this theorem can be a fast and effective solution. This article explores the application of the Pythagorean theorem in the context of relativistic momentum, where the speed and energy of objects approach the speed of light. By exploiting the quadratic relationship between the components of the relativistic momentum and energy vectors, the Pythagorean theorem allows for simpler and more efficient calculations. This research identifies the relationship between the Pythagorean theorem equation and the relativistic momentum equation through several steps. The first step involves calculating the Pythagorean theorem equation. The second step is to calculate Einstein's special relativity equations. The final step is to analyze the relationship between the two equations. In this case, the relativistic and Pythagorean momentum equations have similarities and one of the formulas can be used.

Abstract

classrooms (X2) as independent variables. A total of 34 samples were used, collected as secondary data from various Indonesian provinces during 2023-2024, accessed from the official website of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. The results indicate that X1 is not significant (p-value=0.103), while X2 is significant (p-value=0.001) for the number of primary school graduates, indicating the significant influence of X2. The research findings suggest that the variable of the number of certified teachers (X1) does not significantly affect the number of primary school graduates. Conversely, the variable representing good classroom conditions (X2) is proven to significantly influence the number of primary school graduates. The policy recommendation is for the government and related institutions to prioritize the improvement and enhancement of school infrastructure, including conducive learning facilities and environments

Abstract

This study aims to identify the types and meanings of slang in movies. Using the descriptive-qualitative method, the writer analyzed the movie based on the theory of slang words used by Allan and Burridge (2006) as a reference, and the data was taken from the dialogue in the movie script. The results found 129 slang terms divided into five types: fresh and creative (45), flippant (54), imitative (10), acronym (3), and clipping (17). The most dominant type of slang word is flippant, which means many words are used in a casual or careless way, often to create humor, sarcasm, or lighthearted expressions spoken by characters. The analysis shows that each type supports the characterization and dynamics of character interactions. The meanings of the slang words found in the movie are diverse, but the slang words are mostly used in informal situations. In conclusion, the meanings of slang words found in the movie are diverse but mostly in informal situations.

Abstract

Most language textbooks are analyzed by emphasizing cultural/multicultural content, gender stereotypes/representation, neoliberalism, and pedagogical representation. The role of language textbooks on moral and cultural values at various levels has been examined.  However, moral values at the junior high school level are scarce. This study examined the moral values in junior high school English textbooks entitled “English for Nusantara” for grades 7 and 8 published by the Indonesian Education Standard, Curriculum, and Assessment Agency of the Ministry of Education Culture, Research and Higher Education within the independent curriculum. This research used a qualitative content analysis research design. This study adopted the Moral Foundations Theory Framework (MTF) Graham presented a set of moral principles such as care/harm, fairness/cheating, loyalty/betrayal, authority/subversion, and sanctity/degradation. The result showed that both the textbooks for grades 7 and 8 were similar representing more dominant moral values than bad values, with percentages of 95% and 59%, respectively. The other finding suggested that the textbooks did not integrate authority, loyalty, and fairness. The study implies incorporating stories that highlight moral values should be required to internalize ethical values and encourage students to do good things.
